Super God Academy: Kabuto

Chapter 119 The Courtyard

Inside the main command room of Tianren No. 7, various data flowed silently on the light screen as Ge Xiaolun, Zhixin, and Lena discussed something. Suddenly, space distorted, and a dazzling colored light screen unfolded without warning, shattering the tranquility of the room.

The people present instantly became alert, their gazes all turning to the light screen. Lin Yu stepped out first, his expression calm. Closely following behind him was a stranger dressed in a black leather jacket, a magenta camera around his neck, and possessing a slightly cynical demeanor.

Ling Feng, who was in charge of coordination, immediately went to greet him, a hint of surprise and understanding in her eyes: "Lin Yu, long time no see." Her gaze then fell on the man behind Lin Yu, "And this is...?"

Lin Yu nodded to Ling Feng as a greeting, then glanced around the command room, somewhat surprised: "Why are there only a few of you? Where are the others?" He then stepped aside and briefly introduced, "This is Kadoya Tsukasa, you can call him Brother Xiaoming. Commander Ling Feng, please call over everyone the Super Soldier Company can gather right now."

"Okay." Ling Feng didn't ask any further questions and immediately issued the assembly order.

Not long after, Liu Chuang, Zhao Xin, Qi Lin, Rui Mengmeng, He Weilan, and other core members of the Super Soldier Company arrived at the command room one after another. They all looked at Lin Yu beside Ling Feng and the unfamiliar man with a unique air about him, their faces filled with doubt.

Lingfeng looked at Lin Yu and handed over the reins to him: "I'm leaving this to you."

Lin Yu stepped forward, his gaze sweeping over the young soldiers before him, seasoned by war yet still somewhat inexperienced. He announced loudly, "I've found you a new teacher to guide and 'train' you." He pointed to Kadoya Tsukasa, who was idly observing his surroundings beside him. "This is him, Kadoya Tsukasa, you can call him Brother Xiaoming. Don't let his carefree and unreliable appearance fool you; his strength is more than enough to crush all of you combined."

Kadoya Tsukasa was casually studying the internal structure of the Skyblade-7 when he heard Lin Yu's explanation. The more he listened, the more uneasy he felt. He suddenly raised his hand and slapped Lin Yu on the shoulder, interrupting him, "Hey! What are you talking about?! I'm a very serious person, okay?! What do you mean by being a slacker?"

Lin Yu nodded readily, his tone perfunctory: "Oh, right, you're absolutely right." He turned to Ling Feng and lowered his voice, "Chief Ling Feng, keep an eye on him for me, don't let him get too carried away. I'm leaving now."

Having said that, without giving Tsukasa Kadoya any time to refute or for everyone to react, Lin Yu opened the light screen again, stepped inside, and instantly disappeared into Skyblade No. 7.

As soon as Lin Yu stepped out of the light screen and returned to the North Star courtyard, he heard Keisha cross her arms and sigh in a tone of "finally, some peace and quiet," "Finally gone, sigh..."

Lin Yu had just returned when he heard this, and couldn't help but defend himself: "I didn't say anything..."

Keisha rolled her eyes at him: "Isn't this all the 'trouble' you brought here?"

Lin Yu was taken aback. Recalling Tsukasa Kadoya's "sticky" nature, he helplessly shrugged and said, "Okay, it's my fault."

Just as the three were about to continue enjoying this rare moment of peace, a soft light curtain, different from Lin Yu's aurora curtain and exuding a more ancient and mysterious aura, silently appeared in the center of the courtyard.

At the same time, a peaceful yet authoritative voice, resounding deep within their minds, rang out:

"come over."

"Come in."

He Xi and Keisha immediately looked at Lin Yu, their eyes filled with inquiry and wariness. Lin Yu felt the fluctuations emanating from the light screen, which faintly resonated with some kind of power within him, as well as the irresistible summoning intent, and nodded to the two women.

"Let's go, it seems 'someone' wants to see us."

Having said that, he took the lead and stepped into the unknown light curtain without hesitation. He Xi and Keisha exchanged a glance and followed closely behind.

The three figures were swallowed up by the light screen, and the courtyard returned to tranquility, leaving only the lingering energy in the air.

The colorful light curtain dissipated after a ripple, and Lin Yu stepped out first, followed closely by He Xi and Keisha. They found themselves in front of an extremely simple, even somewhat dilapidated, wooden cabin. The surrounding environment was blurry, as if it were separate from any known space.

Lin Yu glanced back at the two queens behind him, their eyes meeting in a tacit understanding. "Let's go in and see who's summoning us." His voice was exceptionally clear in the silence.

The three pushed open the creaking wooden door, which seemed to have endured countless years. The scene inside was even simpler, with only a small wooden table, a few chairs, and an antique tea set on the table. But what was most striking was the hazy, ethereal figure beside the table. He seemed to be composed of light and mist, his face indistinct, only exuding a distant and vast aura.

"Come in," the hazy figure said in a gentle voice, as if it had been waiting for a long time. "Come and try the tea I brewed."

The three approached as instructed, and at the figure's direction, sat down on chairs beside the wooden table. The figure gracefully picked up the teapot and pushed three cups of clear, fragrant tea in front of them.

"It's been a long time since any guests have visited this place." There was a hint of loneliness in his voice. "Let's give it a try."

Although Lin Yu was wary, he still picked up the cup of tea in front of him and took a small sip. The tea was clear and refreshing, with an indescribable bitterness and sweet aftertaste, followed by an indescribable coolness that penetrated deep into his soul! Then, without warning, a thick, impenetrable white mist appeared out of thin air, as if it had a life of its own, and quickly devoured the entire interior of the wooden house!

"!" Alarm bells rang in Lin Yu's mind. He stood up abruptly and instinctively reached out to grab He Xi and Keisha beside him.

However, his hand reached for nothing!

He turned his head quickly, his pupils shrinking slightly—the chair beside him was empty; where were He Xi and Keisha? Even the hazy figure opposite him, and the entire interior structure of the wooden house, had completely vanished in the eerie fog!

"He Xi! Keisha!" he called out, but his voice was absorbed by the thick fog and disappeared without a trace after traveling a short distance.

Lin Yu frowned, forcing himself to calm down. He tried to mobilize his power to activate the Aurora Curtain and escape this strange space, but found that the connection between him and the Aurora Curtain seemed to be completely severed, with no response whatsoever!

He immediately tried to communicate with Kabuto Zecter, but the insect instrument, which was usually as easy to use as an extension of his arm, was now completely unresponsive and could not be detected at all!

"..." Lin Yu's heart sank. His two greatest assets—his ability to traverse space and Kabuto's power—had completely failed him at this moment. He felt as if he had been reduced to his original form, becoming an ordinary person trapped in an unknown realm.

I haven't experienced this feeling of powerlessness in a long time.

He took a deep breath, his sharp gaze sweeping across the space around him, a space devoid of anything but thick fog. Just then, from the depths of the fog directly ahead, a faint yet steady light slowly appeared, like a lighthouse in the night, guiding the way.

With no other choice, Lin Yu could only slowly walk towards the source of the light.

As he approached, the light grew brighter, gradually dispelling some of the thick fog. Finally, he arrived at the source of the light—an ordinary, even somewhat old, small wooden door, standing alone in the void.

Staring at the door, Lin Yu hesitated, a rare occurrence for him. What lay behind it? A greater crisis? The truth? Or eternal oblivion?

Just as he hesitated, a voice, not from the outside world, but directly from the depths of his mind, calm yet carrying an undeniable power, urged him on:

"Push it away."

The voice seemed to possess some kind of magic, piercing through his unease and doubts.

Lin Yu looked at the door, a bitter smile appearing on his face, which was then replaced by a resolute expression.

"Whether you stick your neck out or not, you'll get stabbed anyway."

What is meant to be will be. Since we've been led here, avoiding the situation is definitely not the solution.

Without further hesitation, he stretched out his right hand and slowly pressed it against the cold door. With a slight effort, accompanied by a soft creak, the door was pushed open.

The scene behind the door came into his view...
