Marvel: I am Iron Man

The Chitauri warship turned around and fled.

Just kidding. While the Chitauri may be fearless, that doesn't mean they enjoy throwing their lives away. What's the point of fighting a battle where it's obvious their single warship is no match?

The Chitauri probably never dreamed that they would encounter such a vastly different opponent on this tiny, insignificant place as Earth—and that they would be the ones being crushed.

"Trying to run away?"

Thor laughed loudly, and swung his hammer like a windmill. Lightning and whirlwinds converged on his rapidly spinning hammer, and a black tornado descended from the sky.

But someone was faster than him.

Iron Man raised his right arm, and the elbow plate slid open silently. A miniature missile, about the length of a hand and with six tail fins, emerged from the missile bay, its body gleaming with a cold metallic sheen under the lights inside the armor.

The missile's tail spewed out a brilliant blue flame, tracing a deadly arc as it chased after the giant Chitauri mantis shrimp that was turning to flee.

At the moment of impact, a dazzling incandescent ball of light suddenly expanded, followed by a muffled explosion that sounded like the howl of a giant beast.

The giant steel mantis shrimp was struck as if by an invisible giant hammer, with the sound of metal tearing and structure collapsing. Most of its body was blasted away from its main body by the violent shock wave.

Fragments of shattered alien armor, mixed with unidentified internal mechanical components and pipes, scattered like petals as the fireball expanded. A horrifying gash was torn open on the giant insect warship, revealing, through the billowing flames and thick smoke, twisted and broken metal skeletons and crackling energy pipes, like severed bones and blood vessels.

The Chitauri warship, with a heavy, mournful cry, resembled a monstrous beast that had been gutted, revealing its still-twitching organs and bones.

It fell helplessly from the sky into the sand like a meteorite impact. Tons of sand were violently hurled up, forming a mushroom cloud mixed with metal fragments, dust, and flames, with several solidified, wave-like sand rings forming around the point of impact.

The wreckage of the decommissioned mothership was mostly embedded in the earth, reaching up to one-third of its remaining structure.

One shot, instant kill!

The Mark 7 carries two heavy missiles, one on each of its left and right arms, making it the most powerful missile weaponry on the armor.

Its prototype is the elbow missile from the Mark 1 in the movie. In "The Avengers", Banner, transformed into the Hulk, stopped the Chitauri warship that was charging towards the Avengers with a single punch. The warship, which was brought to a sudden stop by the enormous force, had most of its stern smashed down on Captain America, Black Widow, and others. At that moment, Iron Man fired a heavy missile, which blasted away most of the Chitauri warship's hull with just one shot, demonstrating its immense power.

Now, Tony has incorporated vibranium components into the original design of this missile, greatly enhancing its destructive power compared to the original Mark 7. Therefore, taking down a Chitauri warship with a single shot is naturally a piece of cake.

However, the Asgardian warriors had no idea about vibranium components. They were unfamiliar with mortal missile technology and did not know that the missile they had just fired was one of only two heavy weapons on the Mark 7.

All they saw was that Tony got up and was killed in one shot. What else is there to say?

That tiny missile, a palm-sized miniature weapon, took down an alien warship in one fell swoop!

What kind of heaven-defying power is this?!

If they had harbored a slight disdain for this Muggle community of the Nine Realms when they first arrived on Earth, and had a certain sense of superiority as Asgardian gods, that contempt and superiority completely vanished after witnessing the terror of Iron Man's armor.

Several people even began to unconsciously compare this thing with their Asgardian Destroyer armor, wondering which was stronger.

Leaving aside the specific strength, the fact that they subconsciously compare a set of mortal equipment to the Destroyer, Asgard's top-tier divine gear, is enough to illustrate the point.

In a mere one-minute skirmish, the Chitauri reconnaissance team was virtually wiped out.

In that brief minute, the Iron Man armor demonstrated to them a wide-area AOE attack that could instantly clear out enemies, a single-target missile with extremely high directional damage, and a chest cannon ultimate attack that combined terrifying power with map-wide sweeping capabilities...

If someone had told these Asgardian warriors before today that mortals possessed power comparable to gods, they would have simply laughed it off, treating it as a daily joke.

It's too ridiculous.

At this moment, the man of steel seemed completely oblivious to the fact that he had done something extraordinary. Wiping out the Chitauri squad was as easy as lifting a finger for him, and he didn't seem to feel anything to be proud of.

Tony had already landed on the crashed warship and flew into it through the hole created by his vibranium warhead.

The wreckage of the Chitauri warship is still quite valuable. In the movie, the Vulture made a fortune by scavenging alien equipment and even became a high-tech villain.

For example, the Vulture's large wings for flight, the phase-penetration technology that allows it to pass through walls at will, and the gravity gun that even Spider-Man has struggled with...

Most of the technology was developed by vultures by scavenging the junk of the Tauri and Ultron.

If even a small, unregulated workshop like Vulture can glean so many valuable items from scavenging trash, then the potential applications of this technology in Tony's hands are naturally even greater.

Even if alien equipment isn't that powerful, their technology is different from Earth's, and researching creations based on different technological systems can naturally bring considerable benefits.

So even just retrieving the spoils from this Chitauri warship would be considered a very fruitful day.

The second important thing is that Tony needs to gather intelligence.

For example, why did these Chitauri come? What mission did they have? Are there more reinforcements hidden outside the atmosphere? Or when will the formal invasion begin?

Even worse, what if Thanos has already arrived ahead of schedule?

Seeing that Tony had already led the way into the wreckage of the warship, the Asgardians exchanged glances and silently followed.

They originally thought that they should come to the mortal world to be the big bosses who deal damage, and when faced with external invasions, they should take up the banner of protecting the mortal world, and enjoy the superiority of being worshipped by mortals as gods.

I never expected that I wouldn't even get a few kills and would become a slacker.

But what else can we do?

Sometimes, when you're not playing well, it's not because you're bad, but because your teammates are ridiculously strong and don't leave you a single kill. If you can't compete, you can only win by doing nothing.

In fact, Tony had already vaguely guessed the Chitauri's purpose; he just needed to confirm it.

Tony entered the warship and quickly found what resembled a bridge. The remaining Chitauri inside had already been reduced to mangled corpses by the recent missile bombardment and crashes.

Tony found a small black sphere on the bridge that resembled a main control panel and lightly touched it with his armored hand.

With a single touch, some kind of projection system seemed to activate. Pale blue light projected a holographic image, which hovered in the center of the alien warship.

Tony guessed at a glance that the projection was the Chitauri's mission target.

Because he recognized this holographic projection.
