Chapter 378 Feint to the East, Attack in the West
Cola Novels makes reading always a chapter faster than others.
When Li Chen re-entered the game, Faker glanced at Li Chen's equipment and, without saying a word, immediately began to retreat, fully entering a defensive stance.
Originally, Li Chen went to gank the top lane, but missed two and a half waves of minions in the mid lane, putting him at a significant experience disadvantage compared to Faker.
However, due to the experience bonus from kills and the fact that he farmed a wave of minions in the top lane, Li Chen was not actually behind in experience level.
This also means that Faker no longer has the chance to make up for his equipment disadvantage with his level.
A three-kill economic gap at this point can truly crush any opponent, and Faker is no exception.
After taking down the cannon minion with a basic attack, Li Chen noticed that Faker finally couldn't resist moving forward to try and farm minions.
Faker was very meticulous here. To avoid being hit by Li Chen's combo, he adjusted his position and used his E skill before releasing his Q skill to farm minions, preventing the distance from being suddenly closed.
However, Li Chen was not buying it. His equipment was far superior, and his damage was much higher than Faker's. He chose a good angle, took the hit of Faker's E skill, and stepped on him. Then he released the E skill and accurately chained Faker through the gap between the minions.
Faker used his W to try and block Li Chen's movement, but the speed boost from Sorcerer's Shoes allowed Li Chen to easily dodge it.
Once the second E was triggered, Li Chen moved forward to block Faker's retreat route, and then chased after him with A.
Having missed two of his three skills, Faker dared not waste any more time. He used a health potion and ran back to his tower, barely managing to save his life, but his health was now less than 200, and he had to go back to base to replenish his supplies.
On the other hand, Li Chen's health was recovering after using a health potion, as he hadn't used any skills and it didn't affect his laning phase much.
While Faker was away at home, Li Chen quickly cleared the minion wave and then used the same trick again, disappearing from the mid lane once more.
Currently, EDG clearly has the advantage in jungle vision control. With Li Chen in the mid lane, Peanut doesn't dare to clash with Clearlove in the jungle, making vision control difficult.
Although they placed wards in the upper and lower river, this was clearly not enough for SKT to know Li Chen's specific movements.
The enemy has vanished!
The enemy has vanished!
After sending a few signals, Faker said, "He's doing alright. I'm not sure where he went, but he definitely didn't go home."
Li Chen only lost a little health, which wasn't a big deal, but he still drank a health potion to recover. Faker noticed this, which is why he was certain that Li Chen hadn't gone home.
But where exactly did Li Chen go?
From God's perspective, after Li Chen pushed the minion wave, he first went into his own bottom half of the map, then found an angle near the blue buff wall, used W to cross the wall and enter the river, and then continued downhill.
SKT had placed vision at the entrance of the dragon pit and quickly spotted LeBlanc walking by on the minimap, so they immediately alerted each other to LeBlanc's movements.
"LeBlanc is going bot lane, don't fight in bot lane, I'm a bit far away." Peanut was still farming in the top half of the map and could only send a few signals to show his support.
Faker glanced at his experience bar and said, "Don't rush, wait until I reach level six in the bot lane before looking for an opportunity."
However, just as SKT's bot lane was on high alert, LeBlanc, who had flashed into view, used her second W to return to her original position and used her Q to finish off the large wolf that Clearlove had pulled in front of her, successfully reaching level six.
Seeing the Enchantress run up without looking back, Remember said in a low voice, "Here she comes, here she comes. C is going to pull off some fancy moves this time. He knows that SKT has placed a ward at the dragon pit, so he deliberately lets SKT see his movements and level."
SKT thought he was still level 5 and went to the bottom lane, but actually he was going to the top side of the map and had already reached level 6. There was a ward at the river entrance behind the blue buff wall, and C-God went around it and entered the jungle from the other side. Sejuani was still fighting the Gromp.
Looking at LeBlanc, who was only separated from Sejuani by a wall, Wawa couldn't help but shout, "SKT didn't realize that C had already entered their top jungle. Sejuani is currently without skills. C is looking for her and saw Tahm Kench being attacked around the corner."
Li Chen wasn't entirely sure of Sejuani's location, but he knew she was definitely in the upper half of the map. When he turned the corner and saw Tahm Kench with low health, he immediately confirmed the situation.
4WEAQRQADEW!
A smooth combo of warding and attacks, combined with the damage from Ignite and Thunderlord's Decree, instantly evaporated Peanut's health. When LeBlanc's second W reset him, Peanut could only watch as he waited to die with only a few dozen health points left.
"Wait, what's he doing here?"
Peanut was completely bewildered. From the moment LeBlanc placed the ward to the moment the damage was dealt, only two seconds had passed. He had no skills and couldn't do anything.
Faker quickly switched the screen to the jungle, glanced at Peanut's corpse, and said after a moment of silence, "We were tricked by him. We didn't expect him to turn around and go to the top side of the map. His damage is too high now. We need to be careful."
This situation can't really be blamed on anyone from SKT. Li Chen moved down by stepping on their vision, and at that time he was only level 5, so it was impossible for him to have a clone. Therefore, it was definitely his real body.
In this situation, the bottom lane has already lost lane and retreated. If the others do nothing and just AFK under the tower waiting for LeBlanc to appear, then this game might as well not be played.
So it wasn't that they were careless; it's just that Li Chen seized the opportunity too well.
However, Faker will be under the most pressure next.
After Taliyah reaches level six, her ultimate ability no longer provides a substantial boost to her dueling ability, while LeBlanc undergoes a qualitative change at level six. Coupled with her item advantage, even a small misstep by Faker can now result in him being instantly killed.
However, Li Chen's ultimate skill wouldn't be ready for a while, so after returning to his lane, he didn't immediately make a move. Instead, he pushed the lane first and then took a blue buff.
With no shortage of mana, Li Chen played more aggressively, controlling lane priority and looking for opportunities to step in and use QE to whittle down Faker's health.
Faker was helpless against this harassment. EDG controlled vision on both sides of the mid lane, and Jarvan IV was still roaming in their jungle. Peanut was having trouble even protecting himself, so there was no way to help him out of his laning predicament.
As the game approached eight minutes, Li Chen seized the opportunity when Faker was farming under the tower. WRW stepped in and forced a trade, instantly reducing Faker's health to the kill threshold.
Then the factory manager rushed out from the side using EQ and secured the kill with a basic attack.
Looking at his black screen, Faker suddenly felt powerless.
The matchup between Taliyah and LeBlanc is a mixed bag, with each having its own strengths and weaknesses. LeBlanc is agile and has the initiative, allowing her to look for opportunities to get solo kills, while Taliyah can clear waves and push lanes faster after reaching level 5, making it difficult for LeBlanc to clear waves.
But all of this was under even conditions. In the early game, Peanut ganked once, giving Li Chen the first blood. Then Li Chen went to the top lane and got two more kills. The equipment gap made him completely dominate the lane.
Even in a one-on-one match when they were evenly matched, he wasn't confident he could beat Li Chen, let alone when they were at a disadvantage.
