Ye Wenxi pulled Wang Yingxue aside and smiled a little embarrassedly: "Xiaoxue, I do have some selfish motives."

"As you know, it's hard to recruit skilled workers now. If we expand our recruitment efforts further, the shortage of personnel will only increase and accelerate, and we won't be able to keep up with the demand."

"But I don't want to stop. I want the garment company to grow and expand as soon as possible, so I must run training courses."

Ye Wenxi paused for a moment

"But I want to try a different strategy."

Wang Yingxue understood Ye Wenxi's purpose, but she still didn't understand what the connection was between hiring a caregiver for her mother and this strategy.

Ye Wenxi looked at Wang Yingxue's puzzled expression:

"It's hard to explain in a few words. How about this, let's go to the clinic first and see if Aunt Han needs any help. Let's arrange that first, and then we can talk in detail." Ye Wenxi paused. "I also wanted to talk to Aunt Han about what she requires of a caregiver. After all, we're looking for one for her, so her wishes and needs are the most important."

Wang Yingxue nodded: "Okay, let's go to the clinic first."

As the two walked towards the parking lot, Ye Wenxi suddenly said, "You go back first, I'll be there shortly."

"Okay, I'll wait for you at the clinic."

Ye Wenxi hopped on his bicycle, turned a corner, and headed straight for the service center.

"Wenxi!" Wang Yingxue understood immediately upon seeing the direction. "Don't buy anymore! We haven't finished the ones we bought last time!"

Ye Wenxi didn't turn around, but waved as she rode, signaling her to hurry up and go.

Last time it was a visit, but this time she needs a favor, so she naturally can't go empty-handed.

She picked out some fruits that could be stored for a long time, such as apples and oranges, and also took two jars of fruit, a few packets of pastries, two bundles of noodles, and a bag of brown sugar.

After paying the bill, the bicycle basket was full, and two bags were hanging on the handlebars.

When Ye Wenxi arrived at the clinic, Wang Yingxue was packing her things.

She knocked on the door.

Wang Yingxue opened the door and saw the two large bags in her hands. The mother and daughter exclaimed at the same time, "Oh dear, you bought so much again!"

Ye Wenxi ignored the question and went straight to Han Yulan's bedside, smiling as she asked, "Aunt Han, you seem to be in good spirits. Have the results come out yet? What did the doctor say?"

Wang Yingxue smiled and said, "Yes, the doctor just said that my head wasn't injured and I'm fine. He said I can go home now and come back in a couple of days to have the stitches removed."

"That's great, as long as you're not seriously injured. You only needed two stitches, so you'll be fine in a few days. Don't wash your hair or get it wet for the next few days," Ye Wenxi said with a smile.

"Yes, the doctor gave all the instructions." Wang Yingxue nodded.

"Come on, I'll help you pack. Let's go back first," Ye Wenxi said, and started helping Wang Yingxue pack.

Han Yulan then interjected, "Wenxi, do you have something to discuss with Xiaoxue? Why don't you two go about your business? I'll have my old friend come and keep me company."

Before Ye Wenxi could reply, Wang Yingxue spoke first: "Mom, Wenxi needs to talk to me about something. We'll take you home first, and then I'll ask Aunt Sun to come and keep you company."

Upon hearing this, both Han Yulan and Ye Wenxi were taken aback.

Did Wang Yingxue give up on her own?

"Alright, alright, you all go about your business, don't worry about me. Mom doesn't need that much care." Han Yulan waved her hands repeatedly.

As they were talking, a staff member from the health center pushed in a wheelchair.

The doctors and nurses helped move Han Yulan into a wheelchair.

Wang Yingxue turned to the medical staff and said, "Could you do me a favor? Could you help us take the old lady home? Wenxi is riding a bicycle and carrying things, so it's not very convenient for her."

Han Yulan and Ye Wenxi's eyes widened in surprise, and Wang Yingxue spoke up again.

Ye Wenxi had already mentally prepared herself, thinking she would first run back to deliver the things before coming to pick up the person.

Unexpectedly, Wang Yingxue took the initiative to ask for help.

"That's what I was thinking. How are you two going to get back?" the nurse said with a smile. "Wait here, I'll call someone else to help you carry it up."

"Thank you, comrade!"

"Wenxi, go ride your bicycle. Just take your things and wait for us at our doorstep," Wang Yingxue said with a smile, turning to Ye Wenxi.

Ye Wenxi felt a sudden sense of relief when he saw Wang Yingxue's smile.

Wang Yingxue's smile was like someone who had been carrying a heavy stone for a long time, finally willing to put it down, even if it was just one stone.

"Okay, I'll go first," Ye Wenxi said.

With the help of medical staff, several people quickly carried Han Yulan upstairs.

Looking at the wheelchair, Wang Yingxue asked, "Comrade, I'd like to ask, how much does one of these wheelchairs cost?"

"A new one of these hand-cranked ones costs around 120 to 150 yuan."

"Does your medical facility sell any old or secondhand ones?"

"No, the clinic only has a fixed fleet of wheelchairs; we don't have any extras. Unless it's damaged beyond repair, which wouldn't be convenient for you. Safety is paramount, so I suggest you use a new one."

Wang Yingxue nodded: "Oh, thank you, comrade, I understand. Thank you so much for today. Please take these fruits to quench your thirst."

She greeted the group, saw them to the door, glanced back at Ye Wenxi, and said somewhat apologetically:

"Wenxi, don't blame me for using your connections to curry favor."

Ye Wenxi rolled her eyes at her: "Tell me this? Don't waste my breath. Come on, I'll make Aunt Han's lunch for you first, you go and do your thing."

"Huh? You're going to cook?" Wang Yingxue was about to say, "Can you cook?", but she swallowed the words back.

"Oh, you underestimate me, don't you?" Ye Wenxi raised her chin. "Although I don't usually cook, I can make enough dishes to fill several tables! Don't worry."

She turned around, took out the noodles she had just bought from the bag, and called into the house, "Aunt Han, can I make you egg noodles for lunch?"

Han Yulan stammered, not knowing what to say: "This...how can we let you cook for us? We're so sorry. Please don't, let Xiaoxue cook. Wenxi, you wait there and eat with us."

Ye Wenxi ignored the mother and daughter and pushed Wang Yingxue out: "Go quickly, go find someone, and wait to come back for a ready-made meal. It's just an egg noodle dish, it won't take much effort."

Wang Yingxue was pushed a couple of steps by her, glanced back at her, wanted to say thank you, but swallowed it back.

Egg noodles are easy to make. Ye Wenxi first stir-fries the oil, then adds a few eggs, a handful of green leafy vegetables, and finally pours in a can of steamed meat.

This is a method that Lu Weidong often makes for her. The originally plain noodles become rich and fragrant with the addition of broth and chunks of meat.

Han Yulan lay in bed, and could smell the aroma even through the door. She wondered to herself, "How did you make this? It smells so good!"

Just as Wang Yingxue brought the person back, Ye Wenxi was lifting the pot.

A large pot of noodles, steaming hot and emitting white mist.

"Aunt Sun, you're here?" Ye Wenxi greeted her with a smile. "We're all acquaintances, let's eat together."

"No, I've already eaten!" Aunt Sun quickly waved her hand.

Wang Yingxue leaned closer to look at the pot; it was a huge pot full, and the aroma wafted into her nose. "Wenxi, how did you make this? It smells so good!"

"Hehe, I have a secret." Ye Wenxi winked, "I put in a can of steamed meat."

"No wonder." Wang Yingxue ladled out a bowl, took a sip, and exclaimed, "It's so delicious!"

Several people sat around a small table, slurping their food down. The broth was rich and the meat was tender.

Han Yulan was also holding a bowl on the bed, eating until her forehead was slightly sweaty.

After finishing their meal, Wang Yingxue cleaned up the dishes and chopsticks, then turned to Ye Wenxi and asked, "Shall we go to the clothing store?"

Ye Wenxi shook her head: "Let's go to my house."

Wang Yingxue was stunned for a moment, then remembered that this matter had to be kept secret.

"Aunt Sun, I'll leave this afternoon to you. I'll be back before dinner," Wang Yingxue said.

"Go ahead, go ahead, I'm fine here. Why don't you stay home for dinner? I'll cook for you," Aunt Sun said warmly.

"Okay, thank you, Aunt Sun. Just leave me a bite."

Wang Yingxue followed Ye Wenxi out the door.

Aunt Sun stood at the door watching their backs, then turned and went into the house, sitting down beside Han Yulan's bed.

"Huh? I've noticed that Xiaoxue seems different today."
