Chapter 54 Boarding (2)

Lynn began to practice the newly acquired Hellfire Meditation Technique, and soon discovered that this meditation technique was indeed several levels more difficult than the Earth Ring Meditation Technique.

After struggling for almost half a month, Lynn finally got the hang of it and understood what this Hellfire Meditation Method represented.

As Lynn turned the pages and looked at the contents, his expression gradually became strange.

"Damn it!" Lynn couldn't help but curse.

I knew it! Why didn't Anglie, who always talks about the cost, mention any cost this time? Turns out, this was the trap he was waiting for!

-

"My dear apprentice, Lynn. By the time you see this, you must have already grasped the basics of Hellfire Meditation. I have now left Bangor Harbor, and I look forward to the opportunity to meet you again in the future."

"I was once a commoner wizard, and now I work at the Abyss Wizarding Academy on the Wizarding Continent. The Hellfire Meditation Technique you practice is a common meditation technique at the Abyss Wizarding Academy, and you will receive extra points when you take the entrance exam for the Abyss Wizarding Academy."

"Our Abyss Wizard Academy was founded in the Sixth Wizarding Era and has a history of one wizarding era. We have multiple branches in the multiverse. The motto of the Abyss Wizard Academy is 'Conquest, Invasion, War.' Furthermore, our academy has established in-depth cooperation with the Abyss Plane in various aspects and offers practical experience courses such as joint invasions."

"I know you have some doubts in your mind about whether you are a good fit for our academy, but I can assure you that I see some shining qualities in you that you yourself have not even realized. There is a soul in your bones that yearns for conquest."

"In addition to experienced old wizards, the Abyss Wizarding Academy also has gentle foreign teachers who have descended from the Abyss."

"The Abyss Wizard Academy offers a total of 469 disciplines: Alchemy, Bloodline, Necromancy, Abyss, and Warfare. If you can't find the discipline you're looking for within this broad range, the Abyss Wizard Academy would be happy to help you create one!"

"Of course, I'm not forcing you. But my dear student Lynn, you should know that if a student from outside the Abyss Wizard Academy were to master the Abyss Wizard Academy's meditation method, it would definitely be a terrible thing. So whether you want to continue learning this meditation method is up to you."

I was wondering why there was suddenly a meditation method. The difficulty of this meditation method is not even on the same level as the previous Earth Ring Meditation Method!

The previous Earth Ring Meditation was just a generic method, while this Hellfire Meditation is a formal meditation method from the academy.

As a lowly wizard apprentice with no background, I had no other choice but to learn the Hellfire Meditation Technique.

Lynn remained calm; he now had two choices.

One option is to continue learning Hellfire Meditation and then join the Abyss Wizarding Academy.

Another option is to abandon the Hellfire Meditation method altogether and simply let go of any ingrained Hellfire Meditation techniques in your mind.

Do the Abyss Wizarding Academy deal with those demons?

He licked his lips.

Who hasn't heard of the Abyss?

There are tons of talented people there, and they all have great manners. The Abyss Stage—come if you dare!

Since he had no connections anyway, it didn't matter to him which wizarding academy he joined.

The academy is merely a platform; the essence of a wizard is still the pursuit of truth.

Of course, all of this is on the premise that the Abyss Wizard Academy is not a trap. I'll find out more about it later when I have the chance.

Lynn made one last round of grocery shopping at Bangor Port these past few days.

In order to prepare, Lynn had been secretly purchasing seasonings and ingredients that could be stored for a long time over the past few months.

After all, no one knew how long they would be on the ship. In fact, to prepare for a long journey, Lynn dug up some soil and brought it into the alchemy lab, where he planted several pots of sweet potatoes and potatoes.

"Lauren, I'm about to leave," Lynn said to Lauren.

The moon was bright in the sky, and Lauren sat on the edge of the rooftop.

He nodded, somewhat bewildered.

"How long will this trip take?" Lauren asked.

"Us?" Lynn paused, then looked intently at Lauren. "You can stay."

He didn't mean to test me with those words.

Over this period of time, Lynn and Lauren have become much closer.

Lynn is the only one who can understand why Lauren has become the way she is now, and Lauren is one of the few lizardmen who knows she possesses magic.

"Weren't you going to take me with you?" Lauren suddenly stood up, somewhat incredulous.

Lynn was taken aback, and after a moment of silence, said, "That's not what I meant."

"What would I do if I stayed? Do you expect me to put on clothes and go out on the street to sell bread? Everyone would think I'm a monster, except you guys," Lauren said.

Lauren understood that only a wizard who had transformed him into this state would not despise him.

“The place I’m going to is different from Bangor,” Lynn said. “It will be much more brutal there. Here we can maintain our superior status, but not there. There we have to climb up from the bottom, and you might even lose your life.”

"Then let's climb up slowly. It's not like we haven't lived at the bottom before," Lauren said firmly.

Lynn smiled. "Alright, since you're leaving, then come with me."

"By the way, Master, can I bring one more person?" Lauren asked.

"This isn't child's play," Lynn refused without hesitation.

"I asked Bova, and she said she's willing to undergo modification," Lauren said, looking into Lynn's eyes.

"She's willing to undergo reformation?" Lynn asked, somewhat surprised.

In this historical context, very few people would have this idea, making Beauvoir's thinking undeniably ahead of its time.

But considering that this woman could accept Lauren's current appearance, Lynn felt it wasn't unacceptable.

If someone is just an ordinary person, they would definitely be a burden, but if they are willing to undergo the transformation by a wizard...

For a wizard, there are countless ways to transform an ordinary person into someone who is no longer ordinary.

Even for Lynn now, there are still quite a few options.

Level 2 mutation studies gave Lynn more solutions to this problem.

"Then you can stay in the alchemy lab," Lynn said.

For the next few days, Lynn went to the new port of Bangor every day to wait, worried about missing the fleet, even though he didn't even know what the captain looked like.

But Lynn later realized he was overthinking things.

Some things, when they come, you know they're meant to be.

On the distant horizon, a sudden thick fog swept over the entire port.

Heavy, leaden clouds pressed down overhead, and a howling gray fog, like a sandstorm, blotted out the sun. What was once a clear day had turned into a cloudy one in the blink of an eye.

"The weather outside is so bad, has Lynn gone out?"

At the dinner table, Annika asked Hamilton with a troubled expression.

"Brother went out again. He left very early today," Borg said in a low voice.

Lynn has been acting out of character these past few days. He usually stays in his room, but these days he goes out frequently during the day and spends time with his family in the evenings, chatting with them.

Hamilton gazed out the window with a worried expression; the man had already foreseen something.

"Annika, where are you going?" Hamilton turned around and saw that Annika had already put on her coat, grabbed her umbrella, and headed out.

Annika turned her head, her eyes filled with sorrow. "I want to go find Lynn."

Hamilton remained silent, stood up, took the umbrella from Annika's hand, and then put his arm around his wife's shoulder.

"You two stay home, Borg. You watch over your sister," Hamilton called to Borg, who was about to leave, and told him to keep an eye on his sister.

Borg felt wronged, but he had no right to speak.

"Here it comes." Lynn bought an umbrella from a newsboy, glancing around discreetly out of the corner of his eye.

Near the new dock, dozens of horse-drawn carriages were parked scattered around, and some tourists or travelers were standing near the dock. Dockworkers carrying goods were still working hard, and the bad weather did not affect their work.

On the distant sea, a large ship, over a hundred meters long, broke through the thick fog. The cold, hard, blue snake-head figurehead seemed to be alive, with two eerie green eyes blazing with flames and sharp fangs pointing forward.

The massive ship was as agile as a light bird, docking at the pier almost without making a sound.

Along the hull of the enormous, dark brown ship, many heads peeked out, and many eyes fell from the ship, curiously examining the newly arrived dock.

A row of long, tiered ladders descends from the edge of the deck and extends all the way to the dock.

Many people in the carriages parked by the dock started moving, and many people on the surrounding docks were all aiming to board this ship.

However, it's clear that getting on this ship isn't so easy.

Lynn witnessed a man walking up the long ladder suddenly scream and tumble down the ladder, falling back onto the dock.

As Lynn stepped onto the long ladder, he experienced a series of hallucinations and heard various noises.
