Chapter 107 Plunder (Part 1)

Greetings, Wizard. Your current identity has been confirmed. The High Council of Wizards reminds you to be cautious when exploring other dimensions. There are countless dimensions; safety is paramount when exploring the unknown.

It was like a screen being refreshed, with lines of blue wizarding text constantly updating from top to bottom.

If a new dimension is discovered, it can be reported to the Wizarding Network to receive a reward. The Supreme Wizarding Council is the strongest shield behind every wizard from another dimension.

The current plane is not fully covered by the Wizard Network; some functions are unavailable.

You currently have Level 1 privileges, which allow you to activate the Wizard Network's SOS function, the current plane's basic information query function, and the energy level detection function.

"Activate Merit Quests: Collect undetected items from the current plane and upload them to the Wizard's Network. Merit will be awarded based on the value of the items."

Lynn stood silently for two seconds before raising her head.

He said, "Why did the wizards go to all that trouble to create a wizarding network? I swear! This wizarding network is definitely more than just something like a magic network."

At first, he thought it was a replica of the magic net, a version 2.0 of the magic net that wizards used to provide to their followers.

However, judging from these messages, any plane that has been controlled and invaded by wizards will have a wizard network implanted.

These wizards are really something else!

Lynn silently complained.

However, he could understand it. Wizards had invaded so many planes and learned a lot of knowledge, so it wasn't too surprising that they would create something like this.

However, Lynn suddenly thought of a certain possibility.

He looked up and saw the wizarding nets in the sky that only wizards could see. Unlike the plane in the abyss, this plane, which was not yet fully integrated, also had wizarding nets, but not many; they could even be described as "sparse."

But this is, after all, a wizarding network. One by one, planes with wizarding networks have fallen into the abyss. Are those wizards planning to fill the entire abyss with wizarding networks?

Lynn suddenly realized this possibility and was amazed at his own bold guess.

As for being shocked, he's not going to be shocked at all! Even if these wizards drop some huge bombshells in the future, he won't be shocked anymore!

The more Lynn learned about these mad wizards, the more he admired and longed for them.

When will I be able to conduct experiments of this level? Compared to these, my current experiments are like children playing house.

"The aura of death in this world is so heavy." The fly demon raised its head, opened the small nasal cavity between its two compound eyes, and took a deep breath of the air.

Lynn took a deep breath and smelled the strong smell of horse manure and grass.

I am currently on a country road.

There were paddy field ridges on both sides, but the ridges behind had been crushed by the brute force demon, its huge hooves sinking into the mud.

The paddy fields in the field have been neglected for who knows how long, and they are overgrown with weeds.

After stepping out of the field, Lynn took the opportunity to use the current plane's basic information query function.

His eyes flickered slightly.

Lynn quickly learned the basic information about the plane in front of him.

This is a plane jointly ruled by elves and humans. At the very center of the world stands an Elven Mother Tree that has grown for countless millennia. Surrounding the Elven Mother Tree is the territory ruled by the Elven Royal Court.

Beyond the Elven Royal Court, there are nine human kingdoms, each with a royal family comprised of half-elves.

Within the kingdom, all nobles must possess at least some elven blood. Although elves and humans nominally claim equality, years of development have instilled a deep-seated class consciousness within the kingdom.

Many officials and nobles were only granted titles to half-elves with elven blood. Although it was said on the surface that humans and elves were both subjects of the kingdom, in reality, differential treatment was everywhere.

Hundreds of years ago, a large number of barbarians lived in the wilderness, and they repeatedly invaded the kingdom.

However, due to several large-scale wilderness cleanups organized by the nine elven kingdoms two hundred years ago, the barbarians have gradually disappeared.

Without external pressure, and with the Elven Royal Court suppressing and preventing conflicts between kingdoms, the stagnant environment makes internal class struggle the core theme between kingdoms.

The conflict between humans and half-elves, and between humans and elves, is becoming increasingly intense.

Some humans made contact with the existence of another world, and with their secret support and help, they formed the Ascension Organization.

The world's fall ceremony was successfully held, causing the entire plane to sink into the abyss.

This plane has already been ravaged by war. The Elven Mother Tree in the central region and the elves of the Elven Royal Court have been dug up. With the Elven Royal Court gone, the nine kingdoms are at war with each other, and the whole world is now in chaos.

"Which kingdom am I in now?" Lynn looked around.

He, along with the Fly Demon and the Brute Demon, found the nearest village. It was so easy to find because the village was filled with rotting corpses; the once prosperous village was now nothing but desolation.

Rotting corpses are a delicious treat for the Fly Demons.

"You don't need these corpses, do you?" The Fly Demon rubbed its claws happily and said excitedly.

"No need, eat if you want." Lynn squatted on the ground, looking at the slightly decomposed corpse in front of him. The cheeks were covered with rotten flesh, maggots were rolling inside, and teeth were faintly visible behind the large hole in the side of the face.

From the corpse, one can vaguely see some of its features from when it was alive: golden natural curly hair and pale blue pupils with a layer of gray film.

Lynn removed the corpse's clothes, conducted a cursory examination, and determined that it was no different from an ordinary human.

The brute demon showed no interest in the rotting corpses on the ground. Although it also liked to eat flesh and blood, it only liked to eat the fresh flesh and blood of powerful creatures.

The brute force demons somewhat despised the fly demons' indiscriminate eating habits.

Lynn then searched the houses in the village. There were basically no books, and many houses were in a mess, obviously having been ransacked, with most of the valuable items taken away.

The fly demon wiped its mouth, having almost finished its meal. Although there were still many corpses in the village, it temporarily stopped eating when it saw Lynn waiting for it.

There are still many prey in this world; there's no rush to eat.

The main priority is to find something of value, since quite a few demons have entered this plane through that portal of light.

"Let's find the nearest human settlement first," the Fly Demon said.

"The most valuable thing about invading a plane is its priceless treasures, and I suspect that the plane may have already been plundered, with its most valuable items already taken. Many demons have also gone to the treasuries of other major powers. Besides that, there's knowledge, but many demons don't know the value of knowledge," the Fly Demon said.

Based on the value of the knowledge about the Fly Demon, Lynn couldn't help but think highly of it.

This fly demon actually knows how to steal knowledge?!

He's practically an anomaly among demons.

Lynn was amazed.

"What you wizards love most is knowledge. As long as we can plunder a lot of knowledge, we can trade with you wizards for things that we demons can use. And those fools don't even know the value of knowledge, so no one ever tries to take it from me." The Fly Demon cackled.

"."

Lynn realized he was wrong; the Fly Demon was referring to this kind of value.

However, looking at it from another angle, it seems to make sense. A lot of knowledge is unsystematic and too complicated. It would be too slow for the Fly Demon to learn it on its own. It would be better to trade with the Wizard and convert it into something it can use directly.

From another perspective, this fly demon is indeed a rare breed among demons who possesses intelligence.

The brute force demon standing to the side rubbed his head. What were they talking about? What was the value of knowledge? And why did his head itch so much?
