Chapter 103 Abyss Market (Part 1)

A familiar figure with white hair leaned against the window of the gray, steeple-colored tower next door.

Lynn was momentarily dazed; the scene felt somewhat familiar, yet also somewhat strange.

He tried to discern a mischievous, playful teasing in her eyes.

"Hello, new neighbor," Lynn raised her hand in greeting.

Back in the basement, Lynn took out the Crossing Lightning spell and looked through its description.

A total of 3,621 nodes need to be constructed.

Over the next few days, Lynn gradually cleared out and sold off the proceeds he had received from Jim.

All unwanted items are sold and converted into magic stones.

"So you're planning to hire a demon?" Toby asked with amusement.

"I have that idea," Lynn admitted.

Compared to the scheming and plotting among wizard apprentices, the demon's straightforwardness is much more acceptable.

"Hahaha, that's rare. You actually believe in demons more than an apprentice." Toby shook his head and chuckled. "That's because you haven't seen a cunning and shrewd demon."

"Let me introduce you to a demon who can act as your guide. He's currently living a somewhat frugal life in the Demon City because he doesn't have many survival skills, making it difficult for him to live in such a place."

Through Toby's introduction, Lynn met a demon who had lived in the Demon City for over thirty years.

A brute force demon.

A demon notorious even among demons, whose head is full of muscle lumps.

These demons possess enormous bodies, even among demon races. Rumors say they are made entirely of muscle, including their brains.

Therefore, the brute force demon is not very intelligent and is very stubborn, and is often used as cannon fodder in the front line of siege warfare.

The surrounding space began to transform.

Lynn fell silent upon seeing this. Was the ground here really that hard?

This rhinoceros, which is larger than a tank, could probably smash through ten walls in its charge.

The brute force demon standing next to Lynn suddenly moved, extending its right hand with an agility completely disproportionate to its massive size.

He grabbed the sharp horn of the giant rhinoceros beneath the two-horned demon, took a half step back, let out a low growl, and threw the giant rhinoceros and the two-horned demon on its back away.

Lynn watched as the giant rhinoceros was thrown in an arc and landed on the ground.

The ground beneath my feet trembled slightly again.

The giant rhinoceros, seemingly unharmed after falling from the sky, quickly scrambled to its feet and then, in a flurry of activity, carried the two-horned demon away, leaving behind only a cloud of dust.

Following the rhinoceros's footprints, after about half an hour, Lynn finally saw a huge market ahead after crossing a small hill.

Ahead on the plain, a cluster of shops with colorful canopies appeared.

Demons, some tall and some short, walked along the road in the middle of the market.

Behind the market stalls, many wizards, veiled or wearing masks, sat.

Lynn took two more steps forward, as if passing through a barrier, and the quiet air was instantly filled with a lot of noise.

A cacophony of sounds assaulted the senses, a mixture of the demon’s deep, obscure language and some of the wizard’s common tongue.
