Godslayer in the Marvel Universe

Chapter 74 The victor is king, the loser is villain.

Chapter 74 The victor is king, the loser is villain.

The once bustling New York is now a scene of devastation, with dilapidated buildings and ruins everywhere. Gone are the dazzling neon lights, the bustling traffic, and even... people.

The only thing that can continue to exist in the zombie universe is the zombie itself.

It's not a low-grade product.

Ordinary people are not qualified to be zombies; they have long been devoured by stronger beings.

But now, the shockwave from the explosion has changed everything.

The raging nuclear peacemaker displayed the power of technology, instantly turning the desolate city into a boiling porridge. A red dot suddenly appeared in the center, like the rising sun, spreading outwards in a circular ripple across the sky and earth. Then, the halo expanded outwards to a diameter of several kilometers.

The zombies at the epicenter of the nuclear explosion didn't even have time to let out a wail before they turned to dust and vanished into nothingness.

Even hero-level zombies have a hard time. Only those who were top-tier heroes in life have a chance to escape this cataclysmic explosion.

In the blink of an eye, Manhattan Island across the street was completely razed to the ground.

However, this has nothing to do with Ang and his group in the main world.

In the main world, the US military is extremely nervous.

Even if this was a nuclear strike authorized by the president, the thought of a mushroom bomb exploding on their own territory would be a world-class political scandal, making many military leaders extremely nervous. They didn't even want to blink, staring intently at the portal that was shimmering with a strange light.

"Tactical nuclear missile detonation confirmed!"

"No shockwave feedback!"

"There was no significant increase in radiation levels at the site!"

"We...we succeeded?" the messenger asked in one breath, his eyes filled with disbelief.

President Monica Bellucci nearly had a heart attack for a moment. Even though the military had repeatedly confirmed that the zombies were real and not drug addicts recruited from Kensington Street in Philadelphia, he still faced immense pressure in making the decision to drop mushroom bombs on his own turf.

Now that the mushroom bombs aren't exploding in our own territory, everything is much easier.

After all, the Wayne Group's nuclear fusion reactor had already been detonated by terrorists, which was already troublesome enough. If a second one happened, he really couldn't take it.

Soon, news came from the front.

"Report! Iron Man's signal detected! He has successfully returned."

The messenger's words immediately caused a stir among the crowd.

That's right!

In their eyes, Tony Stark is the epitome of the American Dream. He and his father used their intelligence to amass a fortune and used the high-tech mechs they developed to protect the world.

As for Batman and the bald guy who opened the door, they were temporarily ignored.

"Did it work?" Batman asked over the communication loop.

"If the portal doesn't open again, then we've succeeded." Tony was quite frightened and continued weakly, "I'll send you a copy of the footage from the other side when we get back."

"Okay!" Wayne and his son said in unison.

As he watched the final "finishing touches," Wild Daddy jumped out of the Batmobile and shouted, "Bane!"

Nothing in the world could attract Batman's attention anymore; all his attention was focused on Bane.

Although he didn't say it aloud, his unspoken message was just one sentence—it's just you and me left!

Bain is in very bad shape.

Seemingly cut off from the power of the undead, a large amount of the zombies' 'flesh armor' began to peel off his body automatically.

Don't be fooled by the fact that those things don't look like his flesh and blood. In order to gain more power, Bane chose to fuse with and devour the souls of these zombies. Now that all the flesh and blood have been removed, the pain is no different from being torn to pieces.

"Aaaaah!" Bane absolutely did not want to show his weakness in front of Batman, but the intense pain still made him consciously raise his head.

Batman said in a deep voice, "Surrender! I guarantee you will receive a fair trial."

"Trial?" Bane's狰狞 (zhengning, meaning ferocious or hideous) face was filled with undisguised contempt. "Locked in prison? Or sent to Arkham Asylum with those lowlife idiots? Don't even think about it!"

"..."

"I was born and raised in prison! I swear every day that I will never go back when I get out! What do you know about me?" With that, Bane launched his attack.

He let out painful and piercing howls as loud noises emanated from his body.

Blood swelled into pustules and burst on his gigantic body, making him appear as if he were about to collapse at any moment. But Bane, as expected of a formidable boss in the Dark Knight series, showed no sign of backing down despite his severe injuries. Instead, his ferocity was aroused, and he swung his massive hand at Batman.

If it were the old Batman, this attack would probably have been quite severe.

Its massive arms, with a reach exceeding four meters, swung around like a bread truck crashing down on its head.

Interestingly, Batman was buffed by a certain filial son.

With incredible agility, he leaped vertically from the spot. After seeing that his simple jump height exceeded two meters, Batman knew very well that something must have happened to him.

But before he could think, he nimbly twirled in mid-air like a real bat.

His muscular body was enveloped in a large bat-shaped cloak, and he soared high into the air, carried by the gusts of wind whipped up by the giant hand.

Bain's efforts were in vain.

This was just the beginning. Batman clearly saw spine-like objects embedded in Bane's giant body.

Batman swept past, pulling out all the spines in the process, and with his absolute power, he also pulled out Bane's blackened flesh.

"Aaaaaahh ...

Bain's screams grew even more agonizing.

If losing his own flesh is a form of torture, then Batman removing the spines of the other zombies, who are based on him, is also a form of slow slicing.

Batman, like a fluttering butterfly, circled around the giant Bane, each rotation bringing down a large amount of flesh and blood.

In just a few rounds, Bane's external flesh and blood finally fell away, revealing his true form.

Bain was originally over two meters tall, which was definitely considered burly.

It could transform into a giant three stories tall first, but now that it's only two meters tall, it's not very impressive.

The instant Bane revealed his true form, Batman raised his hand, and more than ten batarangs flew out from his hand, piercing through Bane's hands and feet and locking him firmly to the ground.

"Bane, it's over." Batman tucked in his cape, slowly descended, and stood atop a broken pillar, looking down at Bane.

"Yeah! It's over." At some point, Bane's trapezoidal mask fell off, revealing a mouth full of scars, with even his lips torn apart.

This is Bane in this incarnation.

Bane's life was a tragedy from birth.

Batman seemed to want to say something, but ultimately hesitated and stopped himself from speaking.

He discovered that Bain's life force was rapidly fading away.

Forbidden power is not so easy to obtain. Bane's failure to complete the secret pact with the witch meant that he could not easily become a true immortal hero.

Batman watched silently as Bane withered away, his skin, muscles, and bones drying up completely before turning to dust and disappearing from the world.
