Chapter 53 Let's meet then.

Ang, a senior spider researcher who spent three hours thoroughly studying the mother spider, had the following conversation with his female assistant.

"How come your fingers have barbs sticking out?!"

For this, Gordon has even requested the transfer of some NYPD officers."

Ang paused for a moment.

He'd been hanging out with Spider-Man Peter Parker for so long that he'd almost forgotten all about the mess in Gotham City.

Having improved his strength to this point, Angle somewhat looks down on Batman's two archenemies—the Joker and Bane. These two villains are just ordinary people, without any high-tech enhancements; he always feels that Batman would be no match for them.

Let his illegitimate father play with them.

Gwen's message touched Ang's heart: "Tell your father that the area downstairs is the criminals' lair. Be careful not to get trapped inside and unable to finish the job quickly."

Gwen paused for a moment, then immediately understood: "Okay, I'll have my father tell his men to bring compressed biscuits, drinking water, and emergency lighting systems. I wouldn't mind if they even brought entrenching tools and demolition equipment."

Ang smiled; talking to a highly intelligent and talented woman was so easy.

Gwen's becoming Ang's confidante provokes the Lance sisters.

The world line thus subtly shifted.

"What? You have friends who want to see me?" Ang felt a little surprised.

"I'm here to see Mr. Ang," Dina emphasized.

"Oh? What's the reason?"

"One of the ladies' names is Helena Bettynelli."

As soon as the black canary finished speaking, Ang's eyes narrowed: "Oh, this really is... a story behind it!"

Ang would never forget that, aside from his stepfather's bank card, what truly made him a nobleman was the diamond from Black Mask. Ang knew, of course, that she, like Black Canary, was a member of the Birds of Prey in history.

In an abandoned warehouse, two lithe women stared warily at three strangely dressed people in front of them.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

It's no wonder they were surprised and wary, because they had invited Black Canary, but three strangers showed up instead.

Ang looked at the two female heroes wearing half-masks with great interest. Although they didn't introduce themselves, Ang recognized them at a glance.

The one wearing a blue and purple leather coat and holding a crossbow is none other than Helena, the Huntress.

She was born into a Gotham City mafia boss's family, and she herself is a Catholic.

However, it seems that misfortune began to accompany her from the day she was born, and her family was wiped out by the Black Mask gang not long after.

Instead of inheriting his family's wealth and status, he became a hitman who punishes criminals.

In another version of history, Helena was even Batman's daughter.

"Probably in the realm of 'just cause'," Kratos said with a playful expression.

"If Lord Kratos took the money, I have no objection. You have already proven your stance with your actions." Helena's answer was somewhat unexpected for Ang.

Ang originally wanted to tease them, but to his surprise, Helena turned around and wanted to leave.

"Oh, you're leaving already?"

"Otherwise what?"

"There have been quite a few zombies appearing in New York and Gotham City lately. Interested in joining me? I've started a new organization called the 'Birds of Prey,' dedicated to dealing with those clueless bastards."

"No! If I had a choice, I'd rather join Batman's team."

Ang grinned, "I don't think Batman would be happy to have an assassin as his subordinate."

Helena felt as if she'd been struck by lightning. She recalled her past of punishing villains by any means necessary, and then remembered Batman's principle of never killing. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, she had to, she and the Batman she admired were simply not on the same wavelength.

Suddenly, she and the two women with the samurai sword laughed at the same time.

"You want to control me? Do you even have the ability?"

"Want to be my boss? Get past my sword first!"

Facing the two women who had taken up their stances, Ang's smile grew even more arrogant: "Come at me both of you."
