Godslayer in the Marvel Universe

Chapter 49: An even stronger Green Goblin?

Chapter 49: An even stronger Green Goblin?

Rich, selfish, cruel, cold-blooded, cowardly, and weak-willed—it's hard to imagine that so many labels can be applied to the same person at the same time.

This is Harry Osborn.

Growing up in a wealthy yet treacherous environment, too young and inexperienced in the harsh realities of life, Harry is precisely that kind of selfish and self-centered individual.

Even when N guns were pointed at his head, he didn't think he had done anything wrong.

How could I be the one in the wrong?

The fault must lie with this shitty world!

The physical pain, the fear of death—all of these combined to form the ultimate hatred for Kratos.

At this moment, his hatred for someone easily surpasses the 'betrayal' of his childhood best friend.

He will never know that Ang let him go temporarily because he was still useful.

High up in the building, Ang smiled and said, "Your father's men think you're a perfect scapegoat. Coincidentally, I think so too."

However, when Ang saw the commotion at the Empire State Building, he sighed.

"I'm so busy!"

Gwen was locked in a fierce battle with the mysterious Green Goblin II.

Compared to Ang's ease, Gwen felt like she had absolutely won the lottery.

Why is it that everyone else is dealing with the Green Goblin, while Ang deals with rookie Harry as easily as picking up fries, while the Green Goblin she has to deal with is more troublesome than she imagined?

This green-skinned, green-armored fellow not only flies at high speed and smoothly, making it impossible for Gwen's spider webs to hit him, but he also occasionally pulls out all sorts of bizarre gadgets from a grotesque magic bag to bomb Gwen.

"Boom boom boom!"

Gwen swore she had dodged the pumpkin bomb that had just exploded—she felt weak even though she thought she had.

Whether she was dodging and weaving or shooting at the spider webs, there was a noticeable sense that she was a beat too slow.

This unfortunately caused her to be hit by the aftermath of two more pumpkin bombs in a row.

These things, which look similar to Halloween ornaments, are incredibly powerful; one of them just ripped a huge hole the size of a small car into the north wing of the Empire State Building.

Before I knew it, the entire outside of my left leg was charred.

If Gwen didn't have extraordinary healing abilities, just the fact that her beautiful legs were ruined might have made her go on a killing spree and killed the guy opposite her.

"Ah!" With a scream, Gwen rolled seven or eight times to extinguish the remaining flames on her body.

Before she could react, several Green Goblin boomerangs attacked from another direction, from a blind spot in her perception.

By the time she heard the sound of the glass breaking, she had already been hit in the right arm and right rib.

Not only was it covered in blood, but there was also a distinct feeling of numbness.

poisonous!

Gwen was truly furious: "How could you be so despicable, you bastard?!"

"Despicable? Heh! I'll take that word as... a compliment—" she sneered, her hands never stopping. This mysterious Green Goblin II continued firing missiles at Gwen.

"Hmph!" As Gwen leaped backward, a dense spider web suddenly shot out.

Logically, this spider web should have been able to stop those missiles.

Gwen never expected that the Green Goblin seemed to know her methods so well. Several of his Green Goblin darts arrived first, getting entangled in the spreading spiderweb. Because the darts were faster, they miraculously carried the spiderweb away before the missiles even arrived.

This feeling is somewhat like the legendary "door-opening kill".

Gwen reacted a beat too slow, and the missile exploded while she was dodging.

In the end, Gwen only had time to curl her body into a shrimp-like shape to minimize her injury.

"boom--"

The shockwave from the explosion affected three floors and eight rooms.

Gwen had already taken cover behind a large, solid wooden table. The impact of the explosion overturned everything, and she was also knocked down hard by the table. She groaned and hit her lower back on a protruding metal cabinet. Her vision went black, and she was in so much pain that she could hardly get up.

Retaining her last shred of sanity, Gwen unleashed a web from her arms, trapping herself and dissipating her momentum to achieve an abrupt stop that no human could make.

Before Gwen could adjust, the Green Goblin had already stormed in on a glider, raising his Glass Cannon and firing at almost face-to-face.

Laser beams, representing high-purity energy, filled Gwen's entire field of vision.

The high-speed roar of the glider's propeller motor was like the whisper of death.

Gwen was unusually terrified, her face turning pale and filled with despair. At the last moment, she suddenly pulled back the web, using the amazing elasticity and resilience of the silk to pull her body out—that was the limit of what she could do.

As for whether she could withstand this blast, Gwen had no hope.

Spider-Man has never been known for his defensive abilities.

Unexpected, yet not entirely unexpected.

Help has arrived.

"Ahhhhh—"

A piercing scream made Gwen tense up instantly.

Fortunately, she was pleasantly surprised to find that the target of this attack was not her at all!

This exaggerated sonic attack was aimed directly at the Green Goblin, which was suspended in mid-air.

The sudden sonic attack caused Green Goblin to stumble.

"call out--"

The laser beam, which should have been a fatal strike, grazed Gwen's side and struck the concrete wall next to her. The ultra-high temperature laser beam easily melted the thick concrete wall, even instantly clearing out the steel bars inside, leaving a perfectly round mark on the wall with a diameter of nearly half a meter.

Gwen was covered in sweat; if it weren't for that unexpected interruption, she would have been finished.

Turning around, I saw two strange humanoid figures, covered in metal components, resembling robots, yet possessing distinctly feminine features, charging towards me.

They held two Uzi submachine guns and fired wildly at the Green Goblin in mid-air.

Honestly, Uzi's firepower couldn't even penetrate Green Goblin's armor; it wouldn't even be a tickle.

But their attack gave Gwen a chance to catch her breath.

Realizing that the other side might be an ally, Gwen didn't care about anything else and "biubiubiu" shot another huge clump of spider silk at Green Goblin.

Gwen wasn't surprised by Green Goblin's evasion.

Suddenly, chaotic footsteps echoed from the surrounding rooms, and a large number of zombies rushed over.

"We'll deal with the zombies!" the two mysterious 'female robots' said in pleasant voices.

After saying that, they pulled out some red jars from their backs and smashed them at the zombies. The intense flames immediately warmed the zombies' bodies and minds.

Ugh!

The high temperature of over 2,000 degrees Celsius is heartwarming.

Gwen noticed with keen insight that this was the same type of thermite incendiary bomb that someone had used before!

Just then, Kratos returned.

However, the addition of this muscular man did little to improve the situation.

Green Goblin...can fly!

When a highly mobile pilot is buzzing around you, it's really hard to catch him.

Ang did try to create an opening to lure the mysterious Green Goblin closer to him.

However, compared to the naive Harry, this Green Goblin was practically a master. His experience and hunting-like patience were something that the other Harry could never have achieved.

Ang gritted his teeth and uttered a name through a slit in his mouth: "Norman Osborn!"
