Chapter 44 Why didn't you say hello?

Chapter 44 Why didn't you say hello?

Liz was devastated!

Having been inexplicably dragged here by the mad Harry Osborn, this former nobleman now has terrifying blue veins and writhing muscles all over his face, coupled with those eyes that radiate madness and evil, making him as frightening as could be.

She was arrested because she was Peter's girlfriend.

That's not all, Harry actually told her that her boyfriend Peter was Spider-Man?

This gave the desperate Liz a glimmer of hope.

"I'm going to kill you in front of your boyfriend!" Harry said.

Liz was both scared and suddenly a little happy, because her boyfriend wasn't some nobody, but a real hero.

Liz had already decided that she would help Peter escape when he came to rescue her.

Even if Harry is strong, he's still just one person. Even with her hands clasped behind her back, she felt she still had a chance.

The only unpleasant thing about the current situation is that Mary and Michelle were also arrested, and they actually had the nerve to call themselves Peter's girlfriends as well.

Unexpectedly, her father suddenly came to rescue her wearing a strange winged flying machine. And even though her father had distracted Harry, he was bitten by the second Green Goblin.

What's going on?

The tragic death of her father caused Liz to finally lose control and scream incessantly.

Her scream lasted only three seconds as the Green Goblin's left hand gripped her neck tightly, his sharp nails even piercing her skin. The extreme terror made her scream sound like a rooster seized by the throat of its fate, and she dared not crow again.

"Yes! That's it. Quiet down, beautiful. This is the only way you can live a little longer." Amidst the sinister laughter of this mysterious green goblin, Liz watched, her eyes bulging, as her father transformed from a living man into a... zombie!

"Waaaaah!"

Adrian's neck stopped bleeding quickly, and the exposed skin rapidly turned an eerie bluish-green.

The most terrifying thing is that Liz can no longer hear her father breathing.

"【Vulture】, right? Come with me, you're still... somewhat useful." Green Goblin's hoarse voice rang out, and Adrian quickly obeyed the order.

When the Green Goblin returned to the hostage situation on the top floor of the Empire State Building with the Vulture and Liz, Harry quelled the commotion below.

Liz glanced at the mercenaries who had turned into zombies; the scene was deathly pale. She recognized some of them; they were her father's so-called friends.

"Still doubting if he's your father?" The masked Green Goblin grinned cruelly. "Take off the mask and let your precious daughter see."

[Vulture] did as instructed.

The moment he removed the mask, Liz fainted.

History has taken a subtle turn. Mr. Vulture, who was originally destined to be Spider-Man's sole nemesis, sacrificed himself in an attempt to save his daughter.

That's what makes the zombie meta so terrifying.

If you can't defeat the enemy boss in one fell swoop, then you'll resort to piecemeal tactics and end up creating an alien "disaster army".

Harry spotted another Green Goblin and frowned: "This is...?"

Green Goblin #2 said coldly, "Idiot, you were lured away. If it weren't for me, Spider-Man's girlfriend would have been rescued by her dad."

"Hmph! I don't need you to teach me how to do things!"

Green Goblin #2 glanced at the cannon fodder mercenaries behind Harry, and said with displeasure, "I told you, my power is suppressed by this world. The total amount of zombie virus that can spread in a short period of time is locked. Don't waste my precious power on this trash."

Suddenly, Harry laughed: "Who says I wasted my time? With their help, I found a decent helper."

"Who?"

Harry said a name.

This time, Green Goblin 2 unusually agreed: "It's alright."

Harry returned to the hostage room with his spoils, ordering the Vulture's zombie mercenaries and the remaining zombie security guards to watch over the hostages, while Green Goblin 2 retreated back into the shadows.

On the other hand, Spider-Man Peter Parker clearly missed a golden opportunity to save his girlfriends.

because……

He received numerous phone calls from parents.

"Hello, Mr. Parker? My daughter is missing. I was wondering if she's with you? After all, she comes here every day."

This action left Peter quite devastated.

He has only officially announced his relationship with Liz so far, and he has clearly rejected the other girls. Why didn't Liz's father call, but the parents of the other girls did?

This trivial matter of answering the phone seriously hindered Peter.

Ultimately, he's still just a high school student.

Peter was caught in a dilemma: he didn't dare hang up on these anxious parents, nor did he dare tell them the truth—what if he told them their daughter had been kidnapped because of him? Would these parents kill him?

He actually arrived quite late, and his only consolation was that the other side was so stupid as to have even captured Gwen.

What's the difference between this and grabbing a remote-controlled bomb and putting it in your crotch?

When Peter arrived, it was already 11:30 p.m.

Instead of making any rash moves, he secretly sneaked into the ventilation ducts of the Empire State Building, and unsurprisingly, Peter found a piece of spider silk.

He was familiar with this type of spider silk; it was the same type he used.

Almost the instant he touched the clump of spider silk, he heard Gwen's voice. Spiders don't have vocal organs, but humans do. Gwen's voice traveled through the silk, reaching Peter's ears with very subtle vibrations.

"Peter, you finally came?"

"Excuse me, Gwen, what's going on?"

"Your 'old friend' Harry has gone mad and is planning to take revenge on you. Strangely enough—he knows your true identity, but not mine."

"Well."

"Another thing is, there might be another Harry, or a strange guy who looks very similar to him and wears green armor. This guy has the power to turn people into zombies, and I suspect he's a zombie too... He just killed Liz's father, Adrian, and turned him into a zombie. The worst-case scenario is that we'll be facing three formidable enemies."

Gwen took two minutes to briefly explain the Green Goblin zombie and what had just happened.

The unfolding events sent chills down Peter's spine.

If Gwen hadn't helped him this time, Peter felt he really wouldn't have been able to handle it on his own.

"Gwen, do you have any good ideas?"

"Yes! It's not 12 o'clock yet. If we're lucky, we might get support from Kratos."

"Kratos, that tough guy on the Golden Gate Bridge?"

"right."

"He's the one who just called me and said he's going to deal with the electric guy."

"Probably."

The two did discuss this matter after the Golden Gate Bridge incident, but Gwen concealed the fact that it was about the zombie Peter.

Peter hesitated for a moment: "Okay! Let's take this as the best solution for now. 3v3 is better than us being outnumbered. But we can't be without a Plan B."

"If they dare to lay a hand on us vulnerable girls beforehand, I'll fight them to the death!"

Peter grinned. "Where are you weak?"

Gwen was furious.

Just then, a chilling voice echoed throughout the Empire State Building via the building's public address system.

"Peter! Now that you're here, why don't you say hello to your old friend?"
