Chapter 349 Olympus Infighting

Chapter 349 Olympus Infighting

"Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite...you!?" Zeus's eyes widened, utterly unable to believe what he was seeing. If it were second-tier gods running away, Zeus wouldn't be so bothered, but for the twelve Olympian gods to flee was truly unbearable. He almost instinctively roared, "I've treated you all well..."

"Bullshit! Look at what you've done for over two thousand years! Besides throwing your damn parties every day and endlessly harassing every goddess, you haven't done a single thing!" Athena couldn't suppress her anger and, unusually, rebuked Zeus with a fierce tone.

Not only Athena, but more than half of the main gods, as well as most of the secondary gods, stood up and glared angrily at Zeus.

Logically speaking, most of the Greek pantheon are relatives of Zeus, and many gods are his direct relatives. Isn't that going too far? Why go to such lengths?

But who is Zeus?

Hormones that move through the world like a perpetual motion machine.

Whether it was him or his good brother Poseidon, when the two of them were truly using their divine power to expand the territory of the entire pantheon, everyone naturally pretended not to see their foolish deeds.

In this life, he was defeated by Ares, the god of war, and slunk back to the Pantheon to become a shut-in. He also had to endure Zeus's lewd and inexhaustible harassment every day. This was a helpless situation.

If there were a better option, the gods would not have succumbed to Zeus's tyranny.

Now that death is imminent, who the hell cares if you're a god-king?

Since you, Zeus, don't act like a king of the gods at all, don't blame us for rebelling!

Despite the countless beams of light piercing through outer space and the looming shadow of destruction, the Pantheon's inner sanctum was still embroiled in internal strife—a truly ironic situation.

When Darkseid attacked, tearing away the last fig leaf of "King of the Gods," Zeus was nothing more than a fat, godlike figure with a divine body but no real divine power.

No one knew that this was the consequence of the merger of the two universes. Had this calamity not occurred, Zeus would have been killed in the Pantheon by a bolt of lightning in the same way, due to a conflict with Thor, and would have been pierced through the chest on the spot.

When Zeus couldn't even protect the other Olympian gods, the gods, led by Athena, naturally felt that "if they could no longer tolerate it, they would no longer tolerate it."

Zeus, his white hair trembling with every inch of his flesh, roared, "You think running away will get you anywhere? Yes! I led the allied forces against Darkseid. But don't forget, that war was fought in the name of the entire Olympian pantheon. If I, the commander-in-chief back then, were to die now, do you think Darkseid would let you off the hook?"

It must be admitted that Zeus knew how to manipulate the gods.

Unfortunately, he made a wrong judgment this time.

Apollo stepped forward: "What if I told you that the one who will lead the fight against Darkseid this time is Kratos, the new God of War who defeated Ares and Thanos?"

Zeus's face drained of color, and he struggled to utter a single word.

If they could defeat Ares, why would they hide in this godforsaken space and become shut-ins?

Even if Zeus was completely out of touch with the world, he still knew about Kratos's achievements—slaying Ares and defeating Thanos, who was at least a sub-celestial being.

Not to mention the rumors that all six Infinity Stones are in Kratos's possession.

Based on this alone, it's almost accurate to rate Kratos as having the strength of a Celestial.

These cosmic-level villains are also nominally among the twelve Olympian gods.

Zeus was initially pleased with himself, thinking that Kratos's fearsome reputation would protect the Olympian pantheon from all trouble.

Who would have thought that there was another Darkseid who didn't believe in superstition?

Hera, the Queen of the Gods, twitched her eyelids violently, her voice trembling slightly: "You...are you really going to abandon Zeus?"

Hephaestus, the god of craftsmen, shook his head: "It's because Zeus no longer treats us as gods."

More than two thousand years of accumulated resentment caused the conflict to erupt completely when faced with a formidable enemy, leaving no room for reconciliation.

Just then, Hades, the god of the underworld who had been silent all along, along with his two subordinates Thanatos, the god of death, and Hypnos, the god of sleep, silently stood behind Zeus, expressing their support for him.

Poseidon's facial muscles twitched, and he followed along with his followers, somewhat dejected.

That's all.

Of the twelve Olympian gods, only Zeus, along with his two brothers and wife, ultimately chose to stand firmly by his side. The other eight gods chose to leave. In fact, with Artemis and Hestia absent today, the odds were roughly 4 against 6.

Honestly, disregarding external forces, if it came down to internal strife and fighting, Zeus's side would actually have a better chance of winning.

But Zeus was already heartbroken.

He lowered his head first, then raised it again: "What price did Kratos offer you?"

"Price?" Apollo's voice suddenly rose, and he shook his head: "No, there is no price, only respect and fairness, and a promise that he will kill Darkseid."

Is Ang's price too high?

It's not high at all.

He was indifferent to the entire Olympian pantheon; those who followed him were given a few scraps, and those who didn't were no problem. After all, he would never relinquish sovereignty over Earth.

He thought he had already offered a price that was infinitely close to zero, and he never expected how many Olympian gods would come to him for refuge.

Who knows how painful it would be if there were no comparison?

He thought his asking price was practically zero, but Zeus was a negative number!

In an era where powerful figures of the old age are falling one after another, sometimes being able to protect one's underlings is already the greatest price one can pay.

When a powerful enemy attacks, Zeus cannot protect them, but Angle has a high probability of being able to, which is a world of difference.

Zeus's dejection was clearly visible.

He had long lost the spirit of being a god-king, and Darkseid's arrival was a ruthless act of pulling him down from the throne.

"You are all my family. I have no intention of attacking you. Go away..." With that, Zeus opened a portal, allowing these gods to descend to Earth in their true forms.

If this were during the peak of the gods' reign, such an operation would be incredibly difficult. Teleporting any righteous god across space would require burning an enormous amount of energy.

Darkseid sensed it almost the instant Zeus opened the portal.

"My lord," his advisor Disadad reminded him.

Darkseid scoffed, "They're nothing but a bunch of withered shells with little divine power. As long as Zeus doesn't run away, once I destroy the Earth and obtain the Anti-Life Equation, we'll have plenty of time to hunt down these old-time false gods."

……

On the other side, Doctor Strange was completely bewildered.

When the magical shields erected by the three great temples began to sound alarms, he thought something big was about to happen.

Unexpectedly, when he arrived at the mirror space used to isolate teleportation, he was speechless for a long time upon seeing a large group of defeated Greek gods.

"Earth is no longer the playground of the gods," the doctor said coldly.

Athena stepped forward from the crowd: "We know, I only ask to see Kratos."

"good!"
