Chapter 60 Life

"Ha ha, those damned guys, they really deserved it!"

Dam burst into laughter, and the patrons in the tavern joined in, everyone cheering and jumping for joy.

"I never imagined that the judges weren't just one person, but an organization! My God, this is the most exciting news I've ever heard in my life!"

"Haha, with an organization dedicated to judging evil in our East District, our crime rate is sure to hit a record low in Gotham history!"

With a smile on her face, Emily quickly walked past the liquor cabinet and slowly hung the template painting that had just been printed from the art studio on the wall of her tavern.

There are two pictures. One shows a figure wearing a black robe and a black mask walking down a street at night.

The other one is a custom-made one by Emily based on the image depicted in the latest daily newspaper, featuring a red-robed masked man with a blood-red main color and a taller, more robust figure!

"Wow, Emily, you're really sharp!" A shop owner from the neighboring store exclaimed in surprise as he came in for a drink, giving the girl with her head held high a thumbs up.

He gulped down a mouthful of whiskey, slammed the change and tip on the table, and then dashed out of the pub, running towards his own shop.

"Mmm~ Mmm~"

Humming a cheerful tune, Emily looked at the two huge portrait paintings that were neatly and symmetrically arranged on the wall of the bar counter and nodded her little head.

Lin Jue slowly placed the wine basket on the ground, his gaze fixed on Emily, who was rushing towards him, a smile appearing on his lips.

"Lin! What do you think? Isn't my idea good?" Emily looked intently at Lin Jue.

Looking at the two huge portrait paintings placed on the wall, Lin Jue smiled and gave a thumbs up.

"Haha, thank you, Judge! Thank you, Blood God!"

Emily smiled brightly and sighed softly. The next moment, everyone in the bar responded loudly, creating a harmonious and joyful atmosphere.

The sound penetrated the tavern's door, drawing the attention of passersby walking along the roadside.

This day was destined to be a day of jubilation for the common people and torment for the criminals.

During a break from work, Dam pulled Lin Jue to a corner of the bar with a look of fervor on his face.

"Blood God? Holy crap, that's so cool!"

He quickly took out his phone and showed Lin Jue footage taken by a passerby the night before, without suspecting Lin Jue of the Blood God.

Lin Jue looked over and saw him standing in the middle of the street, dragging a corpse with both hands.

"Lin, so you had an accomplice. That's quite a height, probably over two meters! That's rare!"

Dam said with a fanatical expression. He had been a little worried about his friend before, but now he was completely relieved. Someone who could withstand bullets and blast through walls with his bare hands could practically do whatever he wanted in Gotham!

"Is he the strongest in the Trial Council? Some netizens are already comparing him to you!"

Dam spoke with great excitement, his eyes fixed intently on Lin Jue.

"...Is that important?"

His eyes flickered slightly, and after thinking for a moment, Lin Jue decided to conceal his dual identity.

He understood a principle: the unknown is the most powerful weapon, and the character he created yesterday would deter the evil forces that coveted him on his upcoming journey of judging evil.

Just as the two were chatting, the tavern customers suddenly became noisy, and Lin Jue and Danmu looked over in surprise.

A woman with a graceful figure and elegant gait walked slowly towards the bar counter, exuding a unique charm in every gesture.

Seeing the somewhat familiar figure, Lin Jue frowned slightly: "Is it her?"

"Huh? Wow, she's gorgeous! ...Wait, Lin? You know her?"

Danmu's expression changed rapidly, and he looked at Lin Jue with some disbelief.

The woman who entered the tavern at that moment was the same woman Lin Jue had saved earlier, suspected to be Catwoman! (Here, Lin Jue is assuming he's watching the version with darker skin! Also, since it's not part of the main storyline, the protagonist is uncertain.)

Patricia's gaze swept quickly over the stunned men in the bar, and then, in a secluded corner, she finally spotted that familiar figure.

A smile played on her lips as she slowly turned her gaze to Emily, who was staring at her in a daze.

"Little sister, give me a bottle of whiskey!"

"Huh? Oh! Okay!"

Emily, her face slightly flushed, looked at the tall woman who was half a head taller than her and replied softly.

Emily quickly placed a glass in front of Patricia, opened a bottle of whiskey, and then personally filled Patricia's glass.

Her slender, jade-like fingers lifted the wine glass, swirled it slightly, and then she downed it in one gulp. A blush spread across her fair and delicate face, and her large eyes seemed to sparkle with a crystalline luster, leaving Emily, who was looking at her up close, somewhat stunned.

"What a nice view!"

"Thank you for the compliment!"

"what!"

Realizing she had inadvertently spoken her thoughts aloud, Emily blushed and ran away.

At that moment, Dan and Lin Jue, who had overheard their conversation, exchanged glances. After a moment, Dan tentatively suggested, "How about I go get their contact information?"

"..."

In the end, Dam still didn't have the courage to stand up. Instead, he told Lin Jue about some recent events, including how he saved Bruce Wayne, how his former classmates who had bullied him apologized to him, and his likely plan to return to school soon.

Just as the two were getting into their conversation, the tall and slender Patricia swayed as she slowly walked to their table, instantly drawing cheers from the men at the surrounding tables.

"Lin! Hello, my name is Patricia!"

Patrina looked directly into Lin Jue's indifferent eyes and slowly extended her slender, jade-like hand.

"Hello!"

Lin Jue shook hands briefly with the woman who strongly resembled Catwoman, a warm smile on his face. The next moment, his smile froze.

Soft fingers gently caressed his palm, and Patricia's eyes sparkled with a peculiar light. Lin Jue subconsciously glanced at Emily, who seemed to be 'not paying attention to this place', to the side.

The two slowly separated, and then Patricia smiled slightly and silently left. Dam, who had already stopped talking, watched her departing figure and gently wiped the corner of his mouth.

"What a nice view!"

"Keep it down...this woman is no simpleton!"

Lin Jue irritably shook off Danm's arm that was draped over his shoulder.

"What? Is that woman a supervillain?"

Dam's eyes widened in disbelief. Lin Jue's words were hard to believe, but the judge's words forced him to be cautious!

If it were a supervillain... that would be even more exciting!

"..."

Lin Jue walked away silently; he was going to start working.
