Chapter 59 Aftermath

"Harley!"

The middle-aged man rushed towards the shop. He was limping, but he was in high spirits. He hurriedly rushed into the shop and helped his daughter, who had fallen to the ground, up.

"Dad!" (No information about Harley Quinn's father's life story was found, please assume he is the father here!)

Harley Quinn couldn't help but hug his father; they never imagined that they would be saved in such a desperate situation.

"Thank you, Blood God! Thank you, Judgment Council!"

Romquin frantically looked his daughter over and noticed that apart from her disheveled clothes, she didn't seem to have suffered any accidental injuries. He breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Blood God!"

She couldn't help but kowtow fiercely to the dark street outside. The girl's gaze was fixed on the shops splattered with blood, but there was no fear in her eyes. She slowly stretched out her fair, jade-like hand and gently wiped the blood she had been watching for a long time onto her hand. The girl couldn't help but lick it lightly. A strange taste slowly rippled in her heart, and a scarlet color flashed in her eyes.

The father, however, began organizing his goods, completely unaware of the strange expression on his daughter's face behind him.

In about fifteen minutes, a series of dark figures quickly darted through the streets and alleys, arriving at an abandoned industrial building.

A man in black was kneeling in front of the man carrying a long sword on his back.

Bang bang bang!

With a swift, blurry kick, the man's body was sent flying. As the bricks shattered, the man in black was embedded in the wall, offering no explanation except for a groan of pain.

"They were too intimidated to fight simply because of their imposing presence?"

The man carrying two swords shouted coldly, blood gushing from his mouth, his face dejected.

Just as the man was about to step forward and finish off the subordinate, the slender woman in black grabbed his shoulder.

"Now is exactly the time when the organization needs people!"

The woman's cold voice echoed in the empty hall, and all the men in black around her hung their heads and remained silent.

The man sheathed his sword, snorted coldly, and turned away, no longer looking at the good-for-nothing who had given him such an upsetting feeling.

The man, whose aura was somewhat weak, knelt down in front of the man with two swords.

"Sir, that guy is definitely not the Judge in disguise. His power far surpasses the one we fought before. He can even withstand bullet attacks head-on, and the aura he exudes doesn't seem to be human!"

The man spoke very quickly, with a hint of surprise on his face.

"To withstand bullets head-on?"

The man carrying two swords glanced at his subordinate beside him. At his signal, the man in black raised his gun and fired a shot at the man.

A flash of light appeared, followed by the loud clang of metal clashing. Under the admiring gazes of all the men in black, the man actually used his knife to deflect the bullet.

"As expected of you!"

The woman in black couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, her gaze sweeping across the ground, where the dented bullet casings, illuminated by the dim light, came into view.

To deflect a bullet with a single strike—that's not something a human could do. (Except for Deadpool!)

At this moment, the man in black kneeling on the ground couldn't help but say, "Will that Judge guy have completely disappeared because of our attack? We should have left him there last time!"

"The Judge? Are you absolutely certain that the guy you attacked last time was him?"

The man carrying two swords couldn't help but shout coldly, and the woman in black beside him also turned her head away. The two of them seemed to know some other information.

Let's go back to that night.

The man, carrying the sample, handed the thermos-like carrier to the doctor in the white coat. Under the doctor's strange gaze, a blood clot stained with bright red blood was placed on the carrier plate.

"This... even the color is different, how can it be the same blood?... However, this drop of blood also seems unusual!"

The doctor looked puzzled, his gaze fixed on the blood sample under the microscope, a hint of surprise in his eyes.

"Looks like it's not that guy!"

The man carrying two swords looked rather grim. He had been suspicious when he first received the blood sample, but he still took it to verify it.

"Of course not! This drop of blood seems even more magical!"

The doctor's tone was tinged with madness, as if he had noticed some strange phenomenon in the blood, and he appeared unusually agitated.

Under the watchful eyes of the men in black, the drop of blood was slowly separated from the snow water. Then, a new syringe was used to draw the blood in, and finally, it was injected into a normal white mouse.

The next moment, to everyone's astonishment, the white mouse let out a sharp screech. The sound from its tiny body even echoed throughout the entire underground factory. Under everyone's shocked gaze, the white mouse's figure turned into afterimages as it frantically crashed into the transparent glass cage.

With great effort and the help of the man in black, the doctor finally managed to control the mutated mouse. Looking at the sharp, crocodile-like teeth that had been revealed, the doctor's face was filled with astonishment.

"Amazing, truly amazing! How can such a wondrous thing exist?"

Under the watchful eyes of the men in black, the doctor cleared his throat and excitedly recounted his discovery: "Also a rat nearing the end of its life, this rat injected with red blood not only showed signs of its organs reversing and becoming younger, but also seemed to be transforming into some kind of extraordinary being!"

"I may need to observe some other specific changes for a while longer, but there's no doubt that this drop of blood is of even greater value!"

The doctor's gaze was fixed on the frantic rat now confined in the narrow glass tube. He spoke with admiration, a strange glint flashing in his eyes.

……

A gust of cold wind blew by, causing the clothes of the group of men in black to flutter violently in the wind. The man carrying two swords slowly approached the edge of the building, his gaze fixed on the now darkened Gotham.

"It seems we need the help of some local forces!"

He slowly turned his head to look at the woman beside him, and their eyes met.

At this moment, in a deserted alley, Lin Jue's body shrank, and after returning to a normal human form, he couldn't help but twist his neck. Accompanied by the crisp sound of his bones cracking, he couldn't help but let out a comfortable groan.

His gaze drifted to an abandoned building not far from the street, and with his extraordinary vision, he could clearly see the silhouettes of bodies hidden in the darkness.

There are still so many people?

Slowly lifting the blood-red robe he was wearing, Lin Jue looked at his body, which had healed completely without a single wound, and couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration.

He endured those bullets not to show off, but to demonstrate the power of his new identity!

This was Lin Jue's plan. Ever since the last time, he had realized that his identity as a judge alone could not completely deter the evil forces hidden in the darkness.

So he decided to take a different approach and introduce a mysterious and powerful organization, which was the Trial Council.

Having been familiar with the DC universe, Lin Jue knew that even someone as powerful as Superman, who was almost invincible, had met his end in the Northwest thanks to Batman's machinations. So he was no exception. Although this universe might be somewhat different from the one he was familiar with, Lin Jue knew that this world was far more mysterious than he had imagined.
