Chapter 44 Blood God Chapter Returns
Chapter 44 The Return of the Blood God
The bright sunshine on his cheeks made Lin Jue feel warm and cozy.
Looking at Emily, who was talking to Dam, a smile appeared on his lips. He liked this feeling. With a thought in mind, Lin Jue couldn't wait to bring up his personal panel.
林觉
Dimension Points: 310
Innate Talent: Dimensional Deprivation
Abilities: Immortality, Primordial Body (Remnant of an Archangel), Blood God (not a concept).
His gaze lingered slightly on the Blood God.
Detailed information about this ability flowed into his mind.
Blood God: The origin of the vampire race in the Marvel Universe. He possesses superhuman speed, unparalleled strength, and incredible self-healing abilities. He can resist all natural diseases, transform into any form, and can become the Blood God. He can also infect other creatures and turn them into vampires!
"Marvel Universe? Transformed into a vampire?"
Sensing the information in his mind, Lin Jue's eyes flickered slightly.
……
On the eastern outskirts of Gotham, at what appeared to be an abandoned factory, a line of black cars slowly drove in.
As the car drove into the factory, the originally dim light became brighter, and the rusty walls transformed into brand-new, steel walls that shone with a silvery luster.
Inside the factory, in a room entirely decorated in white, a man in a white lab coat and gold-rimmed glasses moved erratically between various machines.
Outside the laboratory, as the car door opened, several people dressed in black trench coats hurriedly approached him.
"Doctor, how is it?"
A deep, resonant voice slowly drifted over, and a burly man, exuding a strong sense of oppression, stared at the white-coated doctor in front of him, who was engrossed in his experiments.
"Incredible! Incredible! Where did you get this liquid from?"
The doctor suddenly turned his head. At that moment, his eyes were bloodshot, as if he had conjunctivitis, with almost no whites visible. Anyone with a normal mind would be startled by his appearance.
However, the men dressed in black behind him remained unmoved. The burly man at the head simply stared at him, waiting for his reply.
Seeing the cold, stern faces of the people in front of him, the doctor did not persist. He quickly went to the instrument and took out a cage from a closed iron box.
Inside the cage was a white-furred mouse that kept squeaking and jumping around, appearing very energetic!
"It can now be fully confirmed that the liquid you sent contains a special substance that can rejuvenate living organisms. A very old mouse, after absorbing a little of it, quickly regained its vitality. After such a long period of observation, it can be confirmed that it has completely recovered to its most youthful and vigorous stage!"
Excitement flashed across the man's face. Nothing could shock him more than immortality, not even the extraordinary.
"Can this blood be reused repeatedly?"
"Blood? What kind of creature's blood is this?"
The quick-witted and agile man instantly noticed a crucial point, but the man in black did not continue speaking. He simply stared at him, and a faint pressure enveloped him.
With his hands above his head in a gesture of surrender, the white-robed man said with a hint of helplessness, "This stuff has absolutely no side effects, and we haven't seen any drug resistance yet. Theoretically, if you keep taking it, you can maintain your youthful state indefinitely!"
"very good!"
After obtaining the information he wanted, the man left without waiting for the doctor to say anything more, leading a group of men in black.
"This guy!"
The doctor's helpless words echoed through the empty space.
Stepping out of the factory, the burly man answered the phone and relayed all the information he had just received. With the information confirmed, their plan would officially begin.
The man slowly hung up the phone, his gaze turning deep into the darkness, where one after another, people dressed in black appeared before him.
There were nearly 20 of them, and each of them emanated a faint energy fluctuation.
"Boss, it seems the organization is serious this time?" A faint voice rang in his ears as a slender man in black stood in front of the burly man.
"The Judge? That guy seems to have clashed with the Masked Company! The Grayson family even halted my operation the other day!"
Behind the burly man, a woman in black spoke calmly. Her figure was extremely slender, standing out from the other robust men in black around her.
The burly man remained silent, his gaze deep and unfathomable, lost in thought.
"Everyone was mobilized for this operation!"
"..."
The men in black standing around looked at each other, clearly not expecting this outcome.
As their figures disappeared into the darkness, a man carrying a sniper rifle slowly lowered his binoculars from a very distant tall building outside the factory.
"Good heavens! When did so many dangerous guys get into Gotham?"
"What's wrong?"
Behind him, a man leaned against a pillar, arms crossed, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, puffing out smoke.
"Don't act like it's none of your business. So many people from that organization have come; something must have caught their attention. They haven't even sorted things out next door, and now they've all flocked to our Gotham. The higher-ups really have foresight, telling us to keep an eye on that guy!"
"I'd like to meet them and see if they're really as unfathomable as the rumors suggest!"
"Ha, you're so tough. Don't call my name during the fight, I want to live a little longer!"
The man curled his lip, went straight downstairs, and completely ignored his partner who was still puffing on his cigarette and bragging. He had completed his mission and was going home to sleep; he had to go to work tomorrow!
He took a deep drag, then threw the cigarette butt on the ground and stomped it out. The man went to the window and jumped down. With a heavy thud, he quickly ran towards the woods outside Gotham.
The person who had just come downstairs looked helpless, watching his companion's departing figure with a mixture of envy and schadenfreude!
The bright moonlight shone through the woods as the man moved swiftly through the trees. With each step, he left a deep footprint. He ran for more than a quarter of an hour before stopping as the trees thinned out.
Before me lay a brightly lit street. After walking for a while and passing through two more streets, I stopped in front of a bar with a faint glow and gently opened the door.
A huge uproar erupted from inside the bar, mostly filled with hearty laughter and the clinking of glasses.
