Chapter 36 Cooperation and Framing
Chapter 36 Cooperation and Framing
The bright sunshine illuminated the entire street as Lin Jue walked through the bustling area.
He was rejected.
However, Lin Jue could understand Dao Feng's feelings. It was just a brief encounter, and it seemed unlikely that he could cooperate with him.
In an underground factory, Blade Runner removed his long leather coat and stared intently at the television news report on the table.
He liked to deduce the recent behavior patterns of the vampires from this information, while the news was reporting on missing persons in some areas.
"Blade, how did the operation go?"
An aged voice came from above the factory.
Blade turned slightly to look at his old partner, but his usual relaxed response was absent.
Noticing that Blade seemed to be in a bad state, Whistler quickly stepped forward.
"I met a special guy. He was faster than the fastest vampire I've ever seen, and his strength seemed extraordinary. Moreover, he didn't seem to be an ordinary vampire."
He claims to be the progenitor of vampires, but he doesn't seem to be like us.
Blade looked at his adoptive father and master with a questioning gaze, his face filled with doubt.
"Not a vampire, yet claiming to be the progenitor of vampires? And not afraid of silver?"
A look of horror flashed across Whistler's face as he suddenly recalled a story passed down through generations of vampire hunters from the depths of his memory.
The true origin of vampires—the Blood God!
Although he didn't quite understand the second half of the sentence, the words spoken before Blade's Edge immediately reminded him of the true progenitor of vampires.
"Damn it! Those damned vampires have awakened that demon that has been sleeping in history."
Whistler looked grim and told Blade what he knew about history; both of them realized the seriousness of the problem.
If Lin Jue were here, he would definitely complain, because Dao Feng completely failed to convey his well-intentioned words.
A historic street in New York.
Night fell again, and one vampire after another emerged from the darkness, their lips curling into unrestrained smiles as they greedily eyed the passersby walking along the street.
A long, slender sword hung in front of him, and he walked calmly toward the group of vampires who were watching him.
Without hesitation, he began his slaughter, and after piercing a grinning vampire with his sword, he stopped in his tracks.
As he watched the "vampire" slowly pull two disguised fangs from its mouth, Blade's expression turned extremely ugly. It turned out to be a human in disguise.
At that moment, on the rooftop of a tall building behind him, a female vampire was operating a camera to capture the scene.
After Blade left, an anonymous video report was posted online, causing a huge uproar.
Blade has killed someone.
At Blade Runner's headquarters, Whistler stared intently out the window at the darkness that had descended upon the land. In the dim light, something seemed to be lurking outside.
"Fuck! It must be those damn vampires!"
Whistler pulled out his shotgun and carried a knife on his back, looking ready for a big battle, while he wiped his silver sword with the blade.
However, the next moment, countless bullets shattered the window glass and flew in. The two frantically searched for cover, but the enemy seemed unusually swift. In the blink of an eye, with the help of the firepower, they broke through the factory gate.
Seeing the soldiers dressed in special black uniforms, the blade, which was about to unleash its killing spree, froze in place.
"Hurry up!"
Whistler scolded him anxiously. As was their unspoken agreement, Blade turned and left without hesitation. Whistler, who had also planned to escape as soon as possible, suddenly stopped and returned to his computer desk. He was going to perform data erasure and self-destruction.
However, because of his actions, the advancing soldiers shot him down without hesitation.
With a hint of pain on his face, Whistler glared at the soldiers surrounding him, and the next moment pressed the detonator in his hand.
Endless flames erupted from the factory in an instant. Blade, who had just run out of the factory, suddenly turned around, his face filled with pain. The silver sword in his hand fell to the ground, and he stood there in a daze.
At this moment, several special police officers rushed forward, kicked him to his knees, and pinned his hands behind his back.
Blade's eyes were unfocused, and a sense of pain welled up inside him.
And so he was taken away by the human special police.
Just as everything was going smoothly, a dull thud came from the factory roof. Lin Jue, who had jumped to the top of the factory, looked at the factory burning with raging flames and sighed slightly.
Because he couldn't grasp the rhythm of the plot, he arrived a step too late.
He did not intervene when Blade was taken away by the human special police, even though he knew it was a collaboration between vampires and humans.
With a slightly lowered gaze, Lin Jue recalled the memories in his mind. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he knew what he had to do.
A blur flashed across the eaves, and his figure disappeared from the rooftop.
The next day, as the last rays of the setting sun shone on the mottled wall.
A chaotic street filled with young men and women dressed like monsters and ghosts, most of them acting like madmen, shouting or fighting.
Lin Jue walked slowly down the street, his eyes quickly scanning the area. Soon, he found the familiar shop, a slight smile appearing on his lips. The next moment, his figure disappeared from the spot.
At the same time, the couple in front of him were both stunned.
"Honey, did you just see that person?"
"Who is it?" The girl's face was full of confusion.
"A person just flashed by! My God, that speed! They really left a blur!"
"Oh, David, did you take too much? You're still not feeling the effects?"
The girl chuckled and couldn't help but mock her boyfriend, to the point that even the man wondered if he was hallucinating.
boom!
The shop door suddenly opened, startling the man and woman inside, who both stood up. However, there was nothing at the door; all they had felt was a gust of cold wind.
"Fuck!"
The male clerk cursed angrily as he closed the shop door again, while the female clerk chuckled and leaned back in her chair, looking completely at ease.
Ring ring.
After a long while, the doorbell rang again, and a burly man with a deep-set face slowly walked into the shop.
His gaze swept over the vampire fan-made dolls displayed in the shop, and then fell on the shop assistant dressed as a vampire.
Why are you selling these things?
Drake stared at the man and said in a deep voice.
"Fuck, are you here to buy something or to cause trouble?"
The male clerk, whose anger had not yet subsided, cursed and glared at Drake.
Moments later, with a scream, his body was flung out and crashed heavily into the glass door.
Amid the terrified screams of the female shop assistant, Drake shoved her into a chair, and the next moment, his menacing fangs were exposed, ready to bite into her delicate white neck.
A figure suddenly appeared behind Drake.
New author, new work, begging for everything! (ω)
