Chapter 35 Blade Warrior

New York at night is a mix of light and shadow.

On a street bathed in dim yellow light, two muddy, drunk men supported each other as they walked along the uneven cobblestone path. On the eaves or walls of two old buildings nearby, dark figures stood.

Suddenly, one of the men stopped and stared in astonishment at the figure standing in the middle of the road ahead.

He seemed to realize that something was wrong with his surroundings; the air seemed to freeze. Just as he couldn't help but help his companion turn back...

A dark figure suddenly leaped down from the tall building, instantly tackling his companion to the ground, almost causing him to fall as well.

He stared in horror at the person who was bending down and seemingly biting his companion; his mind went blank for a moment.

He quickly realized what was happening and stumbled back in a panic. However, laughter rose and fell from all around him. The man looked up in despair and found that, without his noticing, one after another, pale-faced people dressed in black robes were staring at him greedily.

"Fuck!"

His voice was choked with sobs. The next moment, a figure tackled him to the ground. A flash of crimson pupils appeared, and he felt a numbness in his neck before losing consciousness.

One vampire after another leaped down the wall, frantically sucking at the two men amidst choked sobs as if something was stuck in their throats.

Just as these vampires were enjoying their feast, a figure suddenly came running from the street corner. The last vampire looked at the burly black man with some astonishment as he slashed a sharp sword across his neck.

"what!"

With a heart-wrenching scream, he clutched his neck tightly, flames shooting from the wound. In just two seconds, he went from spontaneous combustion to burning to ashes.

The sight before them instantly spurred the group of vampires to put down the mangled corpses they were holding and stared menacingly at the black man standing in the middle of the road, wielding a long sword and striking a cool pose.

"A daytime knight-errant?"

A vampire who was clearly the leader roared angrily, recognizing at a glance the killer who had recently risen to prominence among the vampire clan.

Roar!

Amidst the roars that rose and fell, one vampire after another charged forward, each possessing unparalleled speed, reaching Blade in the blink of an eye.

However, a flash of sword light appeared, and an unparalleled slash came down, instantly severing the heads of the two vampires.

The Blade Runner's dark face was expressionless as he slowly placed the blade across his chest once more.

More and more vampires rushed towards him, but in no time, his silver sword cut them down one by one.

As more and more vampires turned to ashes, some finally became afraid. As the first one began to flee, more vampires scattered and fled.

The Blademaster slowly sheathed his longsword on his back, then slowly drew two shimmering silver darts from the side. With a sudden burst of force, the two silver darts pierced through the two vampires who had just climbed upstairs.

Amidst their agonizing screams, their bodies crashed heavily to the ground, turning to ashes. His thick thighs slammed down, his gaze fixed on the former vampire leader.

His dark face reflected a dim yellow light as he sprinted frantically down the street. As the two chased each other, a dart would occasionally fly past and strike a vampire who was fleeing from the side.

Just as the leader vampire leaped out of the block, a hand instantly grabbed his neck.

Roar!

With an angry roar, the man's long, sharp claws viciously clawed at the Asian man who had suddenly grabbed his neck.

However, the next moment, a tremendous force slammed his body heavily to the ground. A casual kick aimed at his head caused his head to detach directly from his neck, flying out and finally stopping in front of the Blade Warrior's feet.

Looking at the vampire whose chest seemed to still be heaving, a look of surprise flashed in Lin Jue's eyes. The vampire's vitality was stronger than he had expected.

After a few breaths, the vampire beneath his feet finally died. Lin Jue felt a gaze that seemed almost tangible. With a smile on his face, he looked calmly at the black man who was slowly walking towards him.

However, what happened next was beyond Lin Jue's expectations. The Blade Warrior passed by him and casually plunged his sword into the vampire's chest. Looking at the vampire who had turned to ashes, Lin Jue watched the Blade Warrior pass by without even turning his head, seemingly lost in thought.

"brother?"

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Lin Jue's face, but the man's steps did not stop, and he walked further and further away. The next moment, Lin Jue's figure turned into a blur and rushed straight towards the Blade Warrior.

Just as he was about to reach the blade, a silver sword suddenly appeared from its sheath, a flash of white light, and the silver longsword was pressed against Lin Jue's neck.

At this moment, Daofeng's eyes finally changed, narrowing slightly as he stared at Lin Jue, whose hands were spread out beside his head.

"vampire?"

"No, no, no! Friend, I'm not one of you vampires."

Under Blade's shocked gaze, Lin Jue slowly reached for his silver sword, but no burning reaction occurred.

"Why are you so fast?"

Dao Feng's voice was strong and clear, his gaze fixed on Lin Jue's face. Lin Jue looked at the imposing figure so close to him and could feel a powerful aura.

It was an invincible, all-conquering aura.

How many vampires would you have to kill to feel this way?

Lin Jue couldn't help but feel a little admiration. He smiled and looked directly at the face he had only ever seen in movies before.

"Because strictly speaking, I am also a vampire, and even the progenitor of vampires!" Lin Jue didn't intend to put on airs, because his current body was that of the progenitor, although this vampire was not the same as that vampire.

"The progenitor of vampires?"

Blade narrowed his eyes, looking at the friendly-looking Asian man in front of him. In fact, a sense of danger was hidden in his heart, after all, it was the first time he had seen a creature so agile.

With his extraordinary senses, Lin Jue's figure appeared behind him as if by teleportation, which is why he reacted in this way.

Slowly moving Blade's longsword aside, Lin Jue smiled and said, "Blade, I've heard so much about you. I mean you no harm!"

Feeling the force from the longsword, Daofeng narrowed his eyes, hidden behind his sunglasses, and suppressed the horror in his heart. The slight shock that had just arisen in his heart instantly dissipated.

He wouldn't allow himself to feel fear!
