Chapter 26 Assassins and the Influence of News
Escorted by the East District Police Chief, Allen walked out of the police station with a smile on his face.
A long, black luxury sedan slowly pulled up, and two men and women dressed in tight-fitting clothes stepped out. They respectfully ushered Allen into the car, and then sped away.
"Thank you for your help, Lady Laura!"
Allen, sitting in the back seat, looked at the man driving the car.
"Lady Laura hopes that Lord Allen can behave himself lately, as there seems to be some destabilizing factor emerging in the East District."
"The Judge? That guy is a superhuman, which is indeed a bit troublesome, but it's not an insurmountable problem."
Allen smiled slightly, glancing at the expressionless woman beside him. He could clearly feel a chill emanating from her body, making his hair stand on end—it was the suppression of an ordinary person by a superhuman.
"Looks like I've had unexpectedly good luck this time!"
His gaze was fixed on the street rushing past outside, his eyes deep as he murmured to himself.
Soon the vehicle arrived at an abandoned church. Allen was the first to get out of the car. Looking at the seemingly empty church, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
Suddenly, a series of dark figures leaped down from the church beams, their feet striking the ground without making a sound.
A short while later, five men and women dressed in black arrived in front of Allen.
The five bowed one by one, looking at Allen, and remained silent.
"Our primary target this time is that woman. After that, if possible, we'll take care of the Judge as well; that guy's been acting too recklessly lately."
"yes!"
A chorus of shouts echoed through the empty church. A moment later, five dark figures rushed out of the door. A woman who got out of the car followed closely behind the group, her eyes flashing slightly.
Allen arrived at the second floor of the church, his gaze fixed on Gotham, now shrouded in darkness. A fierce fire burned in his eyes; he was determined to control the entire East End, and all obstacles in his way would be eliminated.
……
"The judges have killed again; it seems some criminals who like to abduct women and children have been killed."
"I like this terrifying atmosphere. I must make those criminals afraid so they won't dare to disrupt order."
On the bustling street, people chatted in twos and threes, their faces filled with excitement, all because the Gotham East Daily News had reported that the Judges had struck again, with a record of 34 dead, instantly making headlines.
In the news dashboard of the East District, it even surpassed Batman!
The door of a bakery suddenly opened, and George, with a caterpillar bread in one hand and a Coke in the other, hurried along.
He listened to the people around him talking, but his expression remained unchanged, and he soon arrived at the police station.
"Detective George, the officer wants you to come to his office!"
"Um."
With a slightly somber expression, George slowly approached the room, which was filled with the sound of rock music early in the morning.
"Sheriff!"
The obese middle-aged man turned down the volume of the stereo and stood up with a smile.
He slowly walked up to George and gently patted him on the shoulder.
"George, the orders have been officially given. The Central Police Department will be in charge of the Allen Group matter. So, don't cause any more trouble for Allen, understand?"
"Um!"
"Alright, you can go now."
Looking at George's expressionless face, Leon seemed helpless.
George left the room and returned to his seat. Looking at the details he had discovered over the past few days recorded on his computer, he selected them all and threw them into the recycle bin, then emptied the recycle bin!
"Hey! Detective George, what are you doing?"
The black police officer standing to the side looked at George with surprise. He couldn't understand what George was doing. The information that he had worked so hard to uncover had now been thrown into the trash.
A slight smile tugged at the corners of his lips, and George said in a calm tone, "Perhaps... the East End needs a judge?"
boom!
The bullet pierced the computer instantly, and George grabbed the officer next to him and quickly hid under the table.
The next moment, countless bullets shot into the police station from the street outside the window, and one officer after another was hit by bullets and fell into a pool of blood.
Bang bang bang!
"OMG Fuck!"
Unable to contain himself, George let out a loud curse. The next moment, he drew his pistol and, using the table as cover, cautiously peered at the group of people wearing various masks who were slowly walking in from outside.
"These guys!"
The submachine guns spat out dazzling tongues of fire, bullets sweeping across the tabletop in succession. All the surviving officers took cover behind their desks, accompanied by a muffled blast.
The office door was suddenly blasted open by a rocket, and intense flames erupted from the office.
As he watched people in various masks quickly step over the fallen police station gate, George swiftly peered out and fired.
While firing his gun, he also organized a counterattack. Under his leadership, the remaining officers reacted quickly, and a gunfight between the two sides was imminent.
At this moment, on the street outside the police station, all the people were running around in a panic, and no one dared to approach this place.
"They're from the Masked Company!"
One of the officers seemed to recognize the suddenly aggressive thugs and shouted in fear.
"The Masked Company isn't Batman's recent target, so why are they in our East District?"
One of the officers, who hadn't been involved in last night's case, yelled in a near-breakdown. With little experience, he had never encountered anything like this before.
George remained silent, listening to the continuous gunfire, searching for an opening. Bullets whizzed past him, and he instantly leaned out and fired, taking down a man wearing a cat-face mask in a flash.
Even if these criminals' ranks suffer casualties,
But they seemed fearless and continued to storm the police station, with officers falling to the ground in pools of blood every now and then.
To George's relief, it seemed these men had only brought one rocket. Looking at the office now filled with thick smoke after the door was blown open, he felt no grief.
"Who gave you the audacity to provoke the Masked Company?!"
A man wearing a golden monkey mask leaped out from the crowd and shouted sharply. His words echoed amidst the roar of bullets, making George's heart skip a beat.
The next moment, he instantly leaned out and fired a single, clean shot, the bullet arcing straight towards the man in the golden monkey mask.
However, under his gaze, the man in the golden monkey mask suddenly leaped, jumping more than three meters high, and quickly jumped to the side to take cover, thus dodging the bullet that was about to hit him.
"Fuck, he's a supervillain!"
The Black police officer standing nearby looked terrified. Suddenly, he noticed the landline phone next to him, grabbed it in a panic, and started dialing for help.
However, the next moment, he froze, suddenly realizing that he was calling himself...
As the officers screamed one after another, George, the black officer, and the elderly detective looked at each other in bewilderment.
The sound of shattering glass was accompanied by eerie laughter that rose and fell, and apart from George, the other two looked on in despair.
