Chapter 23 Police Station Turmoil
Chapter 23 Police Station Turmoil
George gently knocked on the closed door of the police station's only private office.
"Come in!"
Upon opening the door, one sees an extremely obese white man leaning back in his chair, his eyes fixed on the computer screen flashing various lights, occasionally letting out a chuckle.
George didn't look too good.
"Sir, I'd like to ask about the outcome of the arrest warrant application we submitted earlier regarding the director of the Allen Group?"
"Um?"
The middle-aged sheriff, with three blue folding bars on his shoulders, narrowed his eyes slightly before looking at George, who was frowning and staring at him with a broad smile.
"The director of the Allen Group is no ordinary person. Getting an arrest warrant for him isn't that easy. Besides, didn't I tell you to track down that so-called Judge as soon as possible? Why are we back to this again?"
The corners of his mouth, which had been twitching upwards, turned downwards, and the sheriff's tone grew increasingly harsh.
Receiving no feedback whatsoever, even though he was used to the boss's personality, George found it hard to accept and stormed out with a grim expression.
Watching his subordinate leave in a huff, Leon smiled slightly, his eyes returning to his office computer, where a secret about the origin of some kind of creature was playing. As the mouse slowly moved upwards, his slightly heavy breathing echoed throughout the large office.
boom!
"Fuck!"
George couldn't help but shout and curse, and the black police officer who was about to ask a question froze on the spot, then silently retreated to his original position.
……
Deng Deng Deng!
The smooth ground echoed with the patter of footsteps as Patricia walked through the underground passage, her figure passing by men who stared at her, their eyes fixed on her in a daze.
She was used to this situation. Recalling the scene she had just witnessed, Lin Jue's blurry face lingered in her mind.
The two men glanced behind them, seemingly casually, and quickly turned away, appearing to be having a pleasant conversation.
"Oh!"
The next moment, Patricia suddenly quickened her pace, her figure weaving swiftly through the crowded throng. Thanks to her stunning appearance, many men who noticed her quickly made way for her.
Amidst a crowd of fawning gazes, Patrina quickly disappeared into the flow of people.
"Fuck!"
At this moment, two men, struggling to break free in the crowd, shouted angrily and shoved the people around them, but they still lost sight of Patricia.
In the dimly lit alley, Patricia, carrying two bags of clothes she had bought that day, quickly went upstairs and entered her room.
I pressed the switch next to me, and with a click, the room remained pitch black.
"It's broken again?"
Patricia set the bag aside, took off her heels, and walked slowly toward the living room.
Just as she passed the wall between the hallway and the living room, a dark shadow suddenly attacked. In an instant, Patricia bent backward, dodging the swift blow.
He somersaulted backward and kicked the oncoming black shadow hard.
boom!
With a muffled groan, the mysterious man was sent flying backward. The next moment, a flash of white light forced Patrina, who was about to rush forward, back. One strike after another, the second assassin's attacks were extremely fierce, but he could not do anything to Patrina. She skillfully dodged every blow.
With lightning-fast movements, Patrinia reacted with extraordinary speed. After a straight thrust, she slammed a powerful punch into the tall man in front of her.
The small fist seemed to contain immense power.
boom!
The man flew backward, crashing heavily into his companion who had just gotten up. He then grabbed a dagger from his side, and with a flash of light, the blade shot out at lightning speed, instantly piercing the man's shoulder.
"snort!"
With a muffled groan, the man collapsed heavily onto his companion behind him. The next moment, Patrina nimbly took two steps in three and rushed to the front of the two men.
Boom!
Two heavy stomps landed on the heads of the two men in quick succession.
In an instant, the two collapsed to the ground.
Without any shortness of breath, Patricia turned and walked to one side of the living room, turning on the power switch and illuminating the hall with yellow light.
Looking at the two people slumped beside the shelf, I lifted their masks, revealing two ordinary faces.
After a casual search, she found two sharp daggers and a silenced pistol. Patricia's eyes flickered, and she slowly dragged the two unconscious people out of the house.
30 minutes later, the Eastern District Police Chief arrived.
As a taxi pulled up outside the police station, two officers who had been smoking outside instantly drew their pistols as they watched the three men get out.
"What are you doing?"
One of the younger officers shouted sternly, but the next moment, as the person approached, both officers were taken aback.
Patricia handed the two men to the police, her face expressionless as she looked at George, who was staring at her.
"So you took care of both of them by yourself?"
"Hmm, I'm pretty good!"
George frowned; now, he understood the beautiful woman in front of him less and less.
"Ms. Patricia, I never knew you were not only beautiful, but also so capable!"
The young police officer standing nearby had his eyes shining and couldn't help but boast. Patricia nodded slightly in response, a small gesture that instantly made the young officer's face light up with excitement.
"I suspect they are assassins sent by the Al Group, and I strongly urge all officers..."
"Alright, case accepted, you can go back now!" The East District Sheriff strode out of the office, his gaze quickly sweeping over Patricia's face, and said directly.
"……All right!"
With a look of despair on her face, Patricia slowly walked out of the police station, instantly creating an eerie atmosphere inside.
"What are you looking at? Get back to work!"
The East District Sheriff looked grim, seemingly realizing that his actions had gone too far, but there was nothing he could do; orders came from above to minimize the damage and let the matter drop.
In addition, a large sum of money inexplicably appeared in his account. This incident must be suppressed. As for the two people who were arrested, he will personally handle their case!
As Patricia walked out of the police station, her expression changed rapidly. Her sharp eyes looked at the darkened street outside, where all the streetlights that should have been illuminating the area were now off.
"Ms. Patricia, would you like us to take you home?"
The young police officer quickly ran up to her and couldn't help but say that even though the police station was located here, fights often broke out between people just a street away.
"Thank you, I can go back by myself!"
Patricia gave a forced smile and quickly disappeared into the darkness.
"Ugh!"
The young officer watched her departing figure silently, sighing softly. Crime was everywhere in Gotham, even in the police station!
