Chapter 21 New TV Series

The dim light shone on the bar at midnight. Emily counted the day's earnings, feeling a little excited. Thanks to the disappearance of the motorcycle gang, the number of customers had been increasing these past few days, and her income was rising daily. She was getting closer and closer to her goal!

Amidst a series of shouts, Lin Jue rushed toward Emily at the bar, who was quickly handing out glasses of wine.

"Emily, why didn't you call me?"

Lin Jue quickly took some of the wine that needed to be passed around, while complaining somewhat.

"I wanted you to sleep in a little longer, after all, you work so hard every day, and I don't even give you a single day off!"

Emily chuckled softly.

"Emily, you're such a great boss!"

Sitting at the bar, Dam said with some envy.

Soon, Lin Jue moved between the bar tables, delivering all the drinks to the customers, and then he came to Danm's side.

Dam was the one helping to serve the drinks.

"Hey, why are you thanking me? I'm your best friend!"

Dam opened his eyes wide, feigning displeasure.

A large glass of wine was placed in front of Dam, and Emily's clear voice rang out.

"Dam, this drink is on me!"

"Haha, thanks!"

A look of excitement spread across Dam's face as he took a big gulp, seemingly drinking in a hurry.

"Cough cough cough!"

Lin Jue patted his back with a helpless expression.

As Emily turned to tidy up the wine rack, Dam quickly moved closer to Lin Jue.

"Lin, did you hear? It seems like someone else died on the next street last night—three people! My friend at the police station told me that this time the killer seems to be the guy who had the fight with the motorcycle gang!"

"Hmm? Why do you say that?"

"Their deaths were either caused by having their breastplates shattered by a single blow or by being kicked to death on the spot—it was incredibly brutal. However, those three weren't exactly good guys either; they had multiple criminal records and were fugitives!"

Lin Jue feigned surprise.

Dam narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing him intently.

"Lin, come quickly and bring the wine!"

Lin Jue quickly jumped away, darted to the bar, and took Emily's plate.

"Could it be him? What a coincidence!"

Dan watched Lin Jue move thoughtfully between the tables.

At noon, the bright sunlight shone on the snow outside the window, illuminating the entire street.

Lin Jue leaned back on the sofa, his legs propped up on the armrest, basking in the sun, looking extremely lazy. Noon was a rare time for rest, as everyone went home to eat or work. This leisurely time would continue until 3 p.m., after which people would gradually leave work and flock to the bar.

With a thought, a semi-transparent light screen appeared in front of Lin Jue.

Looking at the information above with surprise, the movie cover had changed. Next to the original vampire series cover, a new dimensional cover appeared.

Suddenly, a small head appeared in front of Lin Jue. The delicate face reflected a strange halo under the bright sunlight, making Lin Jue's heart beat faster.

"Huh? Lin, this didn't even scare you!"

Emily pulled her head back, looking somewhat dejected. From her perspective, Lin Jue was expressionless, showing no signs of being frightened at all!

Lin Jue's slightly constricted pupils relaxed, and he closed the dimensional cover, looking at the pretty girl sitting on the opposite sofa with a knowing smile.
