Chapter 67 Remember this in your next life: Don't mess with Luther (Bonus chapter for the author Noon Time)
"The Luther family!?"
The black man suddenly became enraged.
"It's all because of the Luther family!"
He shoved Gaber aside and swung the butt of his gun, striking Lex hard in the cheek.
"Bang!"
The immense force knocked Lex down, and the bald man fell, spitting blood onto the floor.
That blow just now caused his mouth to ulcerate and become injured.
"Perfect timing." Earl grinned maliciously as he approached Lex, pointing the gun at Lex's head. "You lead the way, take me to the entrance to the third level!"
Lex endured the burning pain in his cheek, his mind racing.
He had no idea there was a third floor in the factory.
But now Earl, the black man, is not in a good state and is on the verge of a breakdown. The first thing he needs to do is to stabilize his emotions.
At the same time, they used a scheme to lure the Black people to where Keno was.
Lex rolled his eyes, feigning weakness: "The third floor has already been emptied."
"Where is it now!?" With Lex's confirmation, Earl was even more convinced of his judgment. The damned Luther family had indeed concealed the exact location of the room.
He spat on Lex's bald head, then lowered his head, his eyes glazing over: "The third floor has been moved to the basement level, right in the elevator."
"Too slow, too weak!"
"Bang!"
A sharp and swift fist slammed into his pale, withered cheek.
Like a zombie, Bizarro collapsed onto the cold iron plate, one hand covering his cheek, looking up at Gino with a belly full of grievances: "Uncle Gino, you're bad."
Hearing Bizarro's strange tone, Gino sighed and facepalmed. "Shut up, Bizarro, call me Gino."
"But."
Gino ignored Bizarro and picked up the water glass on the ground, taking a sip.
"Beep beep~"
A cold, electronic voice echoed in the empty laboratory.
Gino turned his head and, through the slowly rising massive blast door, saw Chloe standing anxiously outside the iron gate, her fists clenched and her eyes filled with tears.
"Chloe?"
Gino frowned and looked at Bizarro: "Go back to your room, Bizarro."
Bizarro obeyed Gino and disappeared in a flash, like a gentle breeze.
After Bizarro left, Gino also stepped towards the door.
"How did Chloe know the code to the underground base?"
Gino frowned, pondering the reason.
"Did Lex tell her?"
"Bang!"
He reached out and pressed the close button to prevent the iron door from opening and exposing the laboratory's secrets, and then rushed out of the laboratory at lightning speed.
"Bang!"
The previously open electronic gate slammed shut again.
Chloe.
A boy's gentle voice sounded from behind Chloe.
The girl was startled when Gino suddenly appeared behind her, and she even bit her lip in her panic.
But the next second, as if she had found her anchor, the girl threw herself into Gino's arms, sobbing uncontrollably, "Gino, please, save my father!"
"What happened to your father?"
Gino wanted to push Chloe away, but seeing the girl crying, he silently lowered his arm.
Large tears soaked Gino's shirt. He patted Chloe on the back and asked patiently, "Tell me quickly, otherwise how can I help you?"
He remembered that Chloe's father was a factory manager, and then he realized that the girl knew the lab's password.
A bad feeling crept into my mind.
Sure enough, when Gino heard Chloe's next words, his guess was confirmed.
"Yes, it was a murderer from the Metropolitan Police Department who broke into the factory. He took the visiting students hostage, pointed a gun at my father, and your brother was among them!"
"They're on the fourth floor now. Clark tried to stop Earl, but he was defeated," Chloe rambled on, but strangely, she didn't get a response from Gino.
The girl looked up, only to see a face as cold as ice.
His deep blue eyes were filled with murderous intent, and Gino stood silently with his lips slightly pursed.
But this invisible silence was like a mountain pressing down on Chloe, preventing her from speaking.
"Kino, Kino..."
Chloe swore he had never seen Gino with that expression before.
That handsome face held a brutal killing intent, silently venting its anger.
"Click click click".
The sickening cracking of bones was merely the sound of a boy slowly clenching his fist.
Gino slowly raised his head and looked up.
His gaze swept across the solid concrete floor, past the tangled mess of wires and steel pipes, and finally settled on the elevator descending, suspended by steel cables.
Inside the elevator, a familiar figure was being held at gunpoint by a black man, and the two seemed to be having a heated conversation.
Gino's gaze swept across the elevator shaft, and an idea formed in his mind.
The elevator slowly headed towards the basement level.
Earl's hands trembled involuntarily. Soon, very soon, he would recover soon!
"boom!"
A tooth-grinding vibration exploded in the elevator lobby.
"What is that?!" Earl looked up, his face full of tension.
It seems something jumped from the second floor onto the elevator.
The black man drew his gun and pointed it at the metal roof above his head: "Whatever you are, I'm warning you! Lex Luthor is in my hands!"
"Thump!"
Another crisp sound rang out, and this time, the sound seemed to be getting closer and closer.
"Get out of here!"
Earl roared and pulled the trigger above his head.
"Bang bang bang!"
Three bullets shot out from the muzzle, whistling as they pierced the metal and disappeared into the darkness overhead.
In the deep silence, everything seemed to return to tranquility.
"Dead? Is he dead?" Earl breathed a sigh of relief, even feeling that he had been a little too tense.
"Bang!"
Before Earl could even exhale, five long, slender fingers suddenly pierced through the metal sheet above his head.
"Rip!"
Two hands above his head easily tore through the sheet metal, and then Earl saw a pair of deep blue eyes that shimmered with a blue light.
"Buzz!"
The icy light struck Earl's right arm immediately, freezing his entire arm at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"My hand!"
Earl let out a miserable wail. The thick freezing ray might only cause a slight sting to Superman, but for Earl, who was only of average physique, it was tantamount to stripping him naked and throwing him into an Arctic glacier.
The heavy ice encased Earl's entire arm, along with the pistol, making it look like a work of art full of violent aesthetics from a distance.
"Snapped!"
Gino jumped down the elevator through the torn crack.
The boy glanced at Lex, whose mouth was stained with blood, and a shadow crossed his eyes.
Gino raised his head, looked down at Earl, and slowly opened his right hand.
Earl's eyes widened.
Three flat bullet heads lay on that large palm.
"How is this possible?"
Earl was momentarily lost in thought, his mind filled with fear as he recalled the scene at the hospital.
"You, you're a devil!"
"Snap!" Earl was met with an iron hand gripping his chin.
"Click~"
A sickening cracking sound rang out as Gino crushed Earl's jaw.
"Ugh!" Earl's tongue trembled as he uttered muffled sounds, his voice mingled with blood and broken teeth.
"Good boy, open your mouth and eat them." Gino smiled and shoved the bullets into Earl's mouth, squeezing Earl's neck to make him swallow them. "Littering isn't good for a good guy."
Watching Earl devour the bullet, Gino looked thoughtful, then pointed at Lex and said:
"You punched my brother, so I'm punching you back. Is that fair?"
Earl shook his head frantically; he knew exactly what would happen if Gino punched him.
Ignoring the pleas and sobs of the black man, Gino slowly raised his right fist under Earl's desperate gaze, his eyes calm: "Remember this in your next life, don't mess with Luther."
Well, actually, the purpose of this plot is to show the growth of the protagonist and Clark. From chapter 30, the conflict between the protagonist and Clark has been laid out. One is decisive and ruthless, while the other is innocent and kind. Then, the disaster caused by Clark in the factory incident is used to ignite the explosive barrel. The conflict between the two is completely exposed to drive the change in the characters' mentality and growth. After all, it is better to teach people once than to teach them a thousand times. Four chapters completed today, over.
