Chapter 5 Let Me Show You How to Be Cool

This was the first time Clark had met Gino.

The young man in the driver's seat had one hand on the sports car door and the other on the steering wheel, his long fingers tapping rhythmically on the steering wheel in time with the car's music.

The boy said firmly to Clark, "No time to waste, get in the car and come with me, you big oaf!"

"Let's catch up with that school bus ahead!"

"I," Clark sighed. He had planned to use his super speed to take a shortcut to school, but this sports car boy suddenly barged into his life like an alien. The rebellious desire to show off, coupled with Gino's words, made him feel the pressure.

As if by some strange impulse, Clark reached out and opened the car door, then sat in the passenger seat of the sports car.

Who could resist the allure of a sports car? Especially the innocent and carefree Clark.

"That's more like it, big boy, buckle up."

Gino stared straight ahead, cracked his neck, and said coolly, "Next, it'll be very soon!"

With his foot on the clutch, he shifted gears, released the brake, and lightly pressed the accelerator. The previously calm sports car suddenly roared to life, instantly transforming into a blur as it sped towards the road ahead. The Bugatti shot off like an arrow, chasing after the school bus.

Amidst the howling wind, Gino steered the car with one hand, swerving through the corner in a beautiful arc, shouting to Clark, "That's cool, isn't it?"

The wind howled in his ears, and the roar of the sports car ignited the man's passion. Even Clark, who had always restrained himself, felt an urge to cheer loudly.

Although he could easily catch up to a sports car with his own speed, sitting in a sports car was a completely different experience. He nodded emphatically and replied loudly, "Your driving skills are excellent!"

"Ah, this is nothing." Gino's expression was indifferent. As the sports car continued to accelerate, the two could already see the school bus in sight.

Gino grinned mischievously and said, "Let's make it even more exciting!"

After saying that, Gino stepped on the gas again, and the sports car roared straight toward the taillights of the school bus!

"Wait! What are you doing?!" Clark's expression changed drastically as he watched the sports car hurtling toward the school bus at an incredible speed.

Three hundred meters, two hundred meters!

The engine roared, the car screeched, and the tires rustled as they rolled through the mud.

"We're going to crash!" Clark gripped the car door tightly; he was about to jump out and stop the tragedy!

Meanwhile, Gino kept hearing Clark's negative emotions.

Just as Clark was about to jump out of the sports car to stop the impending car accident, Gino suddenly turned the steering wheel and pulled the handbrake.

The sports car, which had been moving smoothly and at high speed, suddenly swerved, and the huge inertia almost threw Clark off. The sunny boy gripped the car door tightly, watching nervously as the sports car used a professional "drainage ditch cornering" maneuver to pass the school bus.

The tires emitted a piercing scream!

The sports car easily overtook the school bus with a nimble, swift, and elegant drift.

This is thanks to Lionel's training with the world's top racing drivers when he was very young in Gino, and his driving skills are superb!

On the school bus, the driver was so angry that his face turned green.

He watched as the arrogant sports car sped past his school bus, overtaking him with a drift maneuver. For a man, this was a silent provocation!

The driver was furious, thinking that if it were twenty years earlier, he could have done the same drifting maneuvers! How dare this junior be so arrogant?

The driver grumbled and complained:

"These young people nowadays really lack martial ethics and have absolutely no respect for the elderly or care for the young!"

The students inside the car gasped in surprise, but for these hormone-fueled guys, this behavior was absolutely awesome!

In the back of the school bus, a Black boy rubbed his eyes in disbelief, looked at the passenger seat of the sports car, and said in a strange tone, "Wait, Chloe, that looks like Clark sitting in the passenger seat!"

"What?"

The girl with short blonde hair bit her lip. Her name was Chloe, and she was one of Clark's few friends on campus.

She stared in surprise at the familiar brown jacket and red backpack, rolled her eyes at the black man, Pete, beside her, and said, "That's not just a resemblance, that's Clark."

"Shit!" The Black boy pouted his thick lips, his feelings a jumble of emotions. "I had no idea that our farm boy had a friend who drives a sports car. We've never seen that guy at school."

The girl tossed her short blonde hair and said, "That guy seems quite young? Maybe he's a transfer student or something. Do you think I have a chance to invite him to the prom?"

Pete shrugged and said, "I didn't get a good look at the guy's face, but if he's handsome, you might not have a chance."

"Those enthusiastic cheerleaders will tear him apart, not you, Chloe. We're the school's weirdo trio, aren't we?"

"It's one thing to be rich, but if he's also tall and handsome, believe me, he'll easily replace Whitney as the undisputed heartthrob of the school. He can invite any cute girl to his house to play poker."

"Because no girl could resist such a perfect man," Pete, the black guy, said, rubbing his cheek. "If I were a woman, I would love him to death too."

Outside the school bus,

The sports car on the other side resumed its steady driving. Gino raised his right hand and gave a thumbs-down to the school bus behind him. Then, amidst the driver's angry curses, he stepped on the gas and sped away.

"My God, you're insane!"

Still shaken, Clark pursed his lips, a sign of his anger: "Your behavior is utterly irresponsible towards life, and shows a complete disregard for your own!"

Clark continued his incessant lecturing, while Gino absorbed Clark's negative emotions, listening attentively with an expression of agreement on his face. He nodded and said, "You're right, it won't happen again."

Upon hearing Gino's words, Clark was slightly taken aback and looked at Gino with some suspicion.

When the boy took off his sunglasses, revealing a sincere and earnest look in his eyes, Clark remained silent for a moment before deciding to believe Gino.

Perhaps this new student is just spoiled by his family because he is too rich?

Kind-hearted Clark always liked to trust others.

"We've arrived."

Just as Clark was pondering this, the sports car slowly pulled up in a parking space outside the campus.

Gino pulled out the car keys, patted Clark on the shoulder, took a pack of chewing gum from his pocket, and gestured for Clark to have one: "Let's get acquainted, my name is Gino Luther."

Clark politely took a piece of chewing gum, then stared at Gino with some surprise: "Lewther? The Luther family from the town's chemical plant?"

"Ah, that's right. If there isn't another Luther family in town, I'm the Luther." Gino raised an eyebrow, winked at Clark, and extended his right hand in a gesture of friendliness.

Clark pursed his lips. Although Gino's actions just now were a bit crazy, fortunately, they didn't cause any major disaster. After thinking for a moment, he still grasped Gino's right hand and said seriously, "My name is Clark Kent."
