Chapter 353 Exploration

"But how is that possible?"

It was past midnight when I left the bar. Under the dark night sky, a lone full moon hung high.

The bright moonlight shone on the ground, as if draping the earth in a pale silver robe.

Beautiful yet poignant.

Walking along a country lane, I listened to the subtle sounds of insects moving in the grass.

Jesse kicked a toad that was blocking his way away.

Countless chaotic thoughts flashed through his mind.

Just a few minutes ago, after several experiments, I finally accepted that I have a similar ability to make my words come true.

"So that Genesis guy you mentioned is the source of my superpowers, right?"

Jesse cautiously glanced at the blond boy walking ahead of him not far away.

"That's right, the little guy named Genesis, a creature born from angels and demons, whose existence even makes the God of your universe tremble."

Walking along the country lane, letting the breeze caress his face, the boy's eyes were filled with memories.

The gentle breeze reminded him of the happy times he and Lex had spent in Smallville.

However, times have changed, and both of them have been quite busy, not having had a moment of leisure for a long time.

"But why did he choose me?" Jesse pursed his lips. He knew himself well. He was a good-for-nothing who wasted his days, uneducated, and aimless. Why would Genesis choose him?

"There aren't that many 'what ifs' in the world, Jesse. Since I chose you, you're the most suitable one."

"But," Jesse tilted his head, "shouldn't this thing belong in Heaven? Won't anyone care?"

"Of course someone will take care of it, and they've already arrived."

As if confirming what Gino had said, the next second, two white elites in suits emerged from the countryside fields and meadows—one a beast and the other a fat man.

"Jesse, we are angels, you must hand over Genesis."

The skinny guy in the lead spoke first, completely unaware of Gino standing to the side. After all, this guy didn't seem to have any terrifying aura about him; he was probably just an insignificant passerby.

"That's right, this thing doesn't belong to you. It's a product of Heaven and will be recycled by us in Heaven."

"Give it to me?" Jesse shook his head immediately. "I don't want to give it to me!"

Just kidding, I haven't even had enough fun with such powerful superpowers myself, why would I want to hand them over to these two angels?

"And how can you prove you are angels?"

Jesse, the shrewd one: "The Bible says that angels have perfect wings and extraordinary heavenly magic."

"But you guys."

Jesse glanced at the two men. Neither of them had handsome looks, perfect figures, or even wings, which were the symbol of angels.

Simply put, it's like a product manufactured on a substandard assembly line in a third-rate factory; it not only looks cheap but is also of poor quality.

Upon hearing Jesse's words, awkward expressions immediately appeared on the faces of the two expressionless angels.

Wings? Heavenly magic?

Please, they are just low-ranking angels; they don't have the authority to have a pair of wings.

It seems that God cut corners when creating them; apart from their ability to resurrect indefinitely, these guys don't have anything particularly outstanding about them.

and,

They are just the lowest-ranking angels, responsible for handling the dirty and tiring work on earth.

And what's even more frustrating is that, I don't know who the management of Paradise learned from, but they have these damn performance targets every week.

Angels who fail to complete their tasks face the risk of being optimized.

"I'm sorry, but we really are angels."

"If you don't hand it over, we'll have to resort to violence."

Jesse, unfazed, raised his arm with fighting spirit: "Come on, let me see what you're made of!"

The two exchanged a glance, then, without further hesitation, roared and charged at Jesse.

"I said, stop right there!"

Jesse roared at the two of them.

The next second, it was as if an invisible wave emanated from Jesse and spread to the surroundings.

The two angels remained frozen in their raised legs, awkward expressions on their faces.

Unable to move an inch, his body was stiff.

They were so focused on finding Jesse that they forgot he had Genesis inside him.

What should we do now?

The two looked at each other and both saw the awkwardness on each other's faces.

The product of angels and demons is clearly not something that low-ranking angels like them can contend with.

"So, what should we do next? Kill these two? But they're angels." Jesse was at a loss as to what to do now that he had two angels under control.

"Killing them will only allow them to return to the mortal realm. Conventional physical methods can only kill the bodies of angels, but cannot erase their souls."

Gino told Jesse about the origins of these angels.

"You seem to know a lot." Jesse looked at Gino intently. Having dropped out of school at a young age and drifted through society, he knew a lot about the ways of the world.

Moreover, Jesse believed that nothing Gino did was out of interest, given his powerful status.

There must be a bigger secret and plan hidden beneath his actions.

"This has nothing to do with you. We each get what we need, Jesse." Gino smiled, unconcerned about the probing in Jesse's tone.

He came into this world with his own plans.

After having Tony forge the Iron Man armor, the boy began planning how to further enhance his strength.

So he came to the missionary universe.

After all, the God of this universe can be found, unlike in other universes where you simply cannot find God.

"Alright, then you two can dance Brazilian hot dances here for a week!"

Jesse, unconcerned about Gino’s schemes, spoke a divine command that caused the two to begin a magnificent dance on the spot.

Ignoring the two dancing clowns, Jesse dragged his slightly tired body back to the church.

He genuinely didn't understand why things had turned out this way.

Just as Jesse was getting comfortable on the stool, the piercing sound of police sirens blared outside.

"Jesse!"

A sheriff walked into the church and saw a blond boy standing under the cross, staring intently at the church's decorations.

But Chang Chang clearly wasn't paying much attention to the other person; he looked at Jesse and said, "Eugene hasn't come back all day. Do you know where he went?"

Hearing the sheriff's words, Jesse, who had been feeling annoyed, suddenly widened his eyes: "Shit!"

He blurted out a swear word, recalling how at noon the boy had been pestering him, pouring out his inner turmoil.

Annoyed to no end, Jesse remembers angrily saying, "Go to hell!"

"Could it be?" Jesse's face instantly turned ugly. Had he sent that boy to hell?
