Chapter 234 Exploring the Truth

Zatanna's walk-in closet.

The clothes hanging in the closet are neatly arranged.

As a magician, the girl has countless clothes.

Squeezed together at a small table, Gino gazed at Zatanna.

Two pairs of eyes met.

"so."

Zatanna stared at Gino: "What do you want from me?"

"A crisis affecting humanity may very well originate from the magical world."

Gino stared at Zatanna, and the scumbag said sweetly, "I'm sorry, I didn't care about you enough before, mainly because I was too busy."

Gino sighed and reached out to grab the girl's small hand, causing Zatanna's face to flush.

"Can you forgive me?" Gino asked sincerely.

"You, just say what you want to say!" Zatanna shyly pushed Gino away, smoothed her long hair, and turned her head to say, "What do you want me to do?"

"Come with me."

Gino grabs Zatanna: "Let's go to the Justice League."

Before Zatanna could react, the boy wrapped his arms around the girl's slender waist, enveloping the two in a bio-field, and like a streak of light crashing through the ceiling, flew towards the Justice League Hall.

.....

Justice League.

Entrance.

Bart stood at the entrance with a serious expression.

Inside the meeting room.

The once empty hall with the round table was now filled with people.

Batman is still the same Batman who gives off a sinister feeling just by standing there.

And then there's Wonder Woman, who looks terrible.

Clark slumped in his chair, looking dejected and self-reproachful.

A wisp of smoke drifted around.

Smelling secondhand smoke.

"If you smoke in the meeting room again, believe me, I'll chop off your third leg with my longsword!"

Diana, who was already in a bad mood, frowned slightly and looked up at Constantine, who was curled up in the corner.

Constantine raised his hands, stubbing out the cigarette with two fingers.

"It was my fault."

He shrugged.

"Alright, enough with the nonsense."

Gino interrupted everyone.

"Please sit down."

Diana glared at Constantine, feeling utterly disgusted by this guy who exuded an aura of self-deception.

She sat down next to the girl Gino had brought.

Staring at the blue-eyed girl, Diana felt a strong liking for her, even though it was their first meeting.

"Everyone is probably aware of the situation."

Gino stood up and stood in front of the large screen in the lobby.

The boy pointed to the large transparent screen behind him.

It was displaying scenes of chaos from all over the world.

There were women driving into the crowd, and men wielding shotguns firing wildly at passersby, shouting "hunt down" demons.

"This group seems to be under some kind of spell," Gino tapped the table. "They're mistaking everyone around them for terrifying demons."

"We've been busy rescuing people all day," Clark said, panting as he raised his hand.

To be honest, even he, with his body of steel—Superman—couldn't withstand the endless running around.

"This matter needs to be resolved as soon as possible, so I found a professional."

Gino spoke definitively, his gaze sweeping over everyone before settling on Constantine and Zatanna: "These two are both powerful figures in the magical world."

"Yes, Zatanna and Constantine."

Zatanna smiled and nodded to everyone, while Constantine still looked dejected.

"The current plan involves two groups of people," Gino said, looking at everyone. "I will take Zatanna and Constantine with me to investigate."

"The others continued to maintain order and try to save as many people as possible."

Does anyone have any objections?

Hearing Gino's words, everyone shook their heads in unison.

Gino's plan was flawless and indeed the best option at the moment.

"So."

Gino chuckled: "Justice League, move out!"

……

Just like Gino said.

The group began to act in an orderly manner.

Batman and his crew went to rescue the poor people who were under a magical spell and curse, preventing them from harming more innocent civilians.

"Constantine, what are your plans for the future?"

Standing on the open-air balcony, he let the cold wind blow through Gino's robes.

"Go to my secret room." Constantine sighed. "I have many friends in Hell."

"Maybe they know some clues."

.....

The Mysterious House.

A building resembling a classic manor or castle.

The entire house was constructed using special magical materials.

No one but Constantine could find this house.

The existence of rules-like items ensures its safety.

Sometimes, when faced with vicious demons, Constantine would hide inside them to avoid the brunt of the danger.

Walking through the quiet hall, my feet creaked on the floor.

A fireplace nearby burned with a blazing fire, providing warmth to the room.

It seemed to sense the arrival of the visitors.

Ripples of space spread across the brown wall as a strangely shaped, bald woman with purple hair strode out to greet the three.

"Welcome, Constantine."

The purple figure stood ramrod straight, staring intently at Constantine, one of the three.

"An energy body?"

Gino stared at the woman's body and could see the magical energy surging within it.

"It is the spirit of this room." Constantine shrugged and walked past the woman to get a drink from the round table.

"A beautiful, pure lady." The being Constantine referred to as a spirit gazed at Zatanna with its purple eyes.

"You possess powerful magical energy, and you seem to still be angry with that blond man."

"But I can feel it."

"You're hiding deep feelings for him."

"It seems you've liked him since you were very young."

After the spirit in the room uttered those words, the air seemed to freeze.

An awkward silence filled the room. Zatanna gritted her teeth and glared at Ling: "I've never liked Gino!"

"I would never like him!"

Ling paid no attention to Zatanna's lies; she seemed to possess the ability to see through appearances and strike at the very essence of a person's heart.

She tilted her head and looked at Gino again.

The woman walked towards Gino.

"You possess immense power; I can sense its intense heat and terror, like the blazing sun in the sky."

"You have outstanding ideals and strong ambitions."

Ling also seemed shocked by Gino's strength.

She shook her head and said, "But I can sense that you are very annoyed."

"You're a decent spirit, but my advice is to shut up." Gino glanced at the spirit, then looked at Constantine: "Begin your plan."

"understood."

Constantine stood up and cut his palm with his arm.

It seems to be some kind of unwritten custom that magicians always use blood and strange creatures in their spells.

As Constantine waved his arm, he drew an intricate magic circle on the hall floor.

It was accompanied by a shimmering golden light.

The magic, which I don't know where it came from, but it was definitely not from heavenly magic, emitted a golden light, outlining a name.

"Rich".
