Chapter 162 Jorel's Will
Chapter 162 The Will of Joe El
As the sun sets, withered vines, old trees, and crows appear.
In the dense forest.
The tilted, crushed weeds grew haphazardly in the jungle.
"I really don't know how to describe your stupidity, Clark."
Gino sighed and rubbed his temples in exasperation.
"My bad." Clark chuckled, then pointed around: "This is where I passed out. The spaceship is probably nearby."
"It's obvious."
Gino chuckled. There was a dent in the soil not far away, which, in a blurry way, looked like someone had fallen there and left their face on it.
With his eyes scanning the surroundings, the boy quickly found Clark's lost spaceship.
A gentle breeze blew,
In the blink of an eye, Gino, standing in front of Clark again, was already carrying the spaceship on his shoulder.
"Bang."
The spaceship crashed heavily onto the grass, and a look of surprise appeared on Clark's face: "We found it! Martha is saved!"
The boy subconsciously glanced at his friend's face, only to find that Gino's expression was strange and he did not show any excitement or happiness.
"What happened?" Clark tilted his head, puzzled.
"Perhaps you should ask yourself that question." Gino turned slightly to the side so that Clark could see the situation of the spaceship.
The recessed area on the top of the spaceship was empty; the spaceship key that should have been embedded there was nowhere to be found.
Clark's expression changed at a visible speed; his lips twitched slightly, and his eyes looked lost, as if it wouldn't be surprising if he burst into tears at any moment.
"Think about it carefully." Gino sighed, somewhat exasperated by Clark's careless nature, and patted his friend's shoulder lightly. "Where did you lose that thing?"
"Where did you lose it?" Clark asked with a pained expression. "The thing flew out of the barn at home, passed through the dense forest, crossed the mine, and finally landed in the cave."
"Wait a moment." Gino interrupted Clark's thoughts and lightly raised his right leg to activate Extreme Speed.
It is faster than lightning and gentler than a breeze.
Running through farms and fields, across mountains and forests.
In just a few seconds, Gino ran over all the places and finally found the prismatic stone in the cave.
He bent down and reached out to grip the stone tightly.
Gino stared at the stone in his hand, his tone light:
"I've found you."
"Are you ready?"
Holding the stone in his hand, Gino slowly walked towards the spaceship.
Just seconds before, he returned to the dense forest with the key.
After discussing with Clark, they unanimously decided to restart the spaceship.
Their idea was simple: since the light within the spaceship contained peculiar abilities, restarting the spaceship might change everything.
"Click~"
As Gino placed the stone into the spaceship, it seemed to regain its power supply. The spaceship emitted a dazzling white light, and the next second, the once calm spaceship took off. The blazing white light spread from the spaceship and swept across the entire town.
"My eyes!" Clark cried out, covering his eyes. Gino snapped his fingers, and a screen of light rose in front of him. He then watched Clark's miserable state with great interest.
Fortunately,
The intense, blinding light didn't last long. When the light went out, Clark, his eyes slightly red, awkwardly lowered his arms that had been blocking his way.
"Is it effective?"
Gino glanced at Clark, and the boy hesitated before raising his hands, his fingers slightly bent and clenched into fists.
"Click click click~"
The immense power surging from his arms made Clark's eyes widen in disbelief; his power had returned!
"That's great!" Clark stared at his arms in disbelief.
"Beep beep~"
The ringing of his cell phone interrupted Clark's thoughts. When he answered the call and heard the message on the other end, his already happy smile became even brighter.
After hanging up the phone, Clark said excitedly, "It's Jonathan on the phone. He told me Martha has recovered."
"Go see your mother," Gino congratulated Clark with a smile.
Clark nodded in agreement, then glanced at the spaceship again: "Then, the spaceship will stay with you for now!"
Before he finished speaking, a figure flashed and Clark had already left the dense forest.
"So, where should we put this?"
Gino pursed his lips and examined the teardrop-shaped flying vehicle. After a moment of thought, he thought of the underground warehouse of his own castle.
That place was originally used as a dungeon. Luther's ancestors had also been involved in the Black Blood trade, and the place was once used to imprison some disobedient blacks.
As Gino approached the spacecraft and secured the cockpit, his gaze drifted towards his family's ancient castle.
Luther Castle at night.
As always, Lex will not be where Lionel is.
Lex continues to work overtime in the factory laboratory.
Meanwhile, Lionel is interviewing new security guards at the castle. After the Byron attack, the old man has become increasingly concerned about his life and has recently hired some retired special forces soldiers at high salaries.
Without being noticed, Gino carried the spaceship into the bunker and placed it into the dungeon room.
"Bang!"
The heavy spaceship landed on the ground with a dull thud.
"Buzz~"
It seemed as if some kind of switch had been turned on, or perhaps it was the operation of a program inside the spaceship.
The once quiet spaceship slowly lit up with a fiery orange light.
This sudden change naturally caught Gino's attention.
The boy crossed his arms, his expression calm as he gazed at the spaceship radiating dazzling light.
As orange light flashed and enveloped the entire spaceship, an orange sphere, resembling a small sun, slowly floated in mid-air. Then, a calm yet slightly deep voice emanated from within the sphere.
"Gino Luthor, the Wonder Child, your potential is limitless."
The voice was calm yet strangely reassuring, saying, "You have Kryptonian blood; your achievements will be limitless."
"What are you?"
Despite having some suspicions, Gino still chose to ask for an answer.
The sphere of light flickered and said, "I am Joe Al, and also the real father of your friend Clark Kent."
"So, you're living on a spaceship now?" Gino shrugged, his tone mocking. "What are you trying to say?"
"I didn't live in the spaceship; I am just his memory, his will."
"My mission is to fulfill his promise and guide you forward in the future of your life."
Hearing these slightly seductive words, Gino frowned. He stared at the spaceship and said in a strange tone, "But shouldn't you go find Clark? He's your son."
Could it be that the artificial intelligence found Clark too weak and chose itself instead?
If that's really the case, it only proves that Jor-El's consciousness, deep down, only believes in the theory of the survival of the fittest.
Without keeping him waiting long, the voice responded to Gino without hesitation: "Clark Kent is too cowardly. From my observation, he is indecisive, sentimental, and his pitiful head is filled only with narrow-minded love and romance."
"His adoptive father had raised him to be a weak coward."
The voice grew increasingly agitated, its pace quickening: "This coward, this weakling, he doesn't deserve to be a Kryptonian!"
