Chapter 152 Clark's Dilemma

On the walls of the cave.

It is decorated with all sorts of unique and colorful paintings.

Gino's voice echoed within the cave.

"And...is it related to me?"

Clark rubbed his cheeks, looking completely surprised.

"Look there." Gino walked to the center of the wall on his own.

At the very top of the wall, a series of meteor flames were etched, falling from the sky.

Next came a mysterious flying machine that resembled a round frisbee.

The next image shows the spaceship hatch wide open, with a person who is larger than the other figures stepping out of the hatch.

Clark, observing the case, explained his reasoning: "A person in a spaceship fell from the sky?"

"It's not just these."

Gino reached out and pressed his hand on a painted surface: "This image indicates that this extraterrestrial visitor was able to hunt wild beasts with his bare hands."

Clark looked at the painting that Gino was pressing on, which depicted a burly little man fighting a tiger with his bare hands.

"So, what kind of person can hunt a tiger with their bare hands?"

Gino raised an eyebrow, his gaze returning to the groove in the center of the stone wall.

"Does this thing look familiar?"

The octagonal cube groove seems to unlock certain secrets by simply embedding something within it.

This reminded Gino of the prismatic fragment in Lex's hand.

"This fragment... I think I've seen it before?" Clark frowned. "My ship at home has this groove too."

"Maybe."

Clark felt as if a heavy stone was pressing on his heart, making it hard to breathe.

"My ancestors—no, our ancestors," Clark looked up at Gino, "visited this planet!"

Clark was excited; he clenched his fists and felt his breathing quicken.

Clark started a brainstorming session: "So what is their purpose in coming to Earth?"

The older boy looked at Gino, hoping the young man could give him an answer.

But Gino simply shrugged, replying in a bachelor-like manner, "I don't know."

The atmosphere fell silent for a moment, until a beam of light shone through the corner onto the two of them.

"Who?" Clark frowned and looked around the corner, his expression serious.

"Who are you people?"

A woman's voice slowly rang out, followed by a pair of long, straight legs that strode lightly toward the two of them.

Her slender figure paired with denim athletic shorts and a purplish-red short-sleeved top, along with her healthy tanned skin on her arms, proves that this girl exercises regularly.

This was undoubtedly a very beautiful girl, with a high nose bridge and delicate features. Her turquoise eyes were slightly narrowed, and she stared at Gino and Clark with a slightly serious expression.

"What are you two doing here?"

"Uh, we're here to investigate the werewolf incident," Clark explained nervously. Sensing the girl's wariness, he waved his hand and said, "We mean no harm."

The girl glanced at Clark suspiciously, then her gaze returned to Gino. She crossed her arms and said, "I recognize you, young master of the Luther family."

The girl lowered her hands, feeling a sense of relief.

The Seed family is not a monolithic entity; everyone has conflicts. According to the information the girl has gathered, Wayne Enterprises and the Luther family are competitors.

"So, you know the meaning of the murals here?" Gino had seen the wolf fangs hanging from the girl's earlobe.

Just as a black man likes to wear a gold necklace around his neck, the wolf tooth hanging by the girl's ear proves her identity: Native American.

However, based on the girl's appearance, Gino speculates that she is more likely to be of mixed race.

"I never expected you would be able to find these murals."

The girl walked towards the two, her gaze falling on the exquisite murals on the wall, and sighed, "These record the story of Nama."

"Nama? What's that?"

The girl gazed at the strong little figure in the mural:

"In our legends, Nama will fall from the sky with a rain of fire."

"He is incredibly strong; one man's strength is equivalent to that of ten men."

"His eyes can shoot out intense light that melts everything."

Listening to the girl's description, Clark glanced at Gino, his expression one of shock.

Just as Gino said, the murals in this cave are indeed related to his own life story.

"Alright, that's roughly the story. My grandfather knew more about the legend than I did." Kayla rubbed her shoulders and looked at Gino and the other man. "So, are you leaving?"

"I can take you out."

Clark pursed his lips and looked at Gino, intending to listen to his friend's choice.

Gino winked at Clark, signaling him to handle it.

"Alright, we'll leave with you." Gino said to Kayla, extending his right hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Gino Luther."

"My name is Kayla." The girl gently stroked her long hair.

"Clark Kent."

After leaving the cave, the two parted ways with Kayla.

Once the girl was out of sight, Clark couldn't wait to grab Gino's shoulders with both hands: "Did you hear that? Gino, you're incredibly strong, you can shoot flames from your eyes."

"The events recorded on that stone wall are those of our ancestors."

"Yes, that's certainly the case given the current situation."

Clark shook his friend. "So what should we do?"

Gino narrowed his eyes slightly, pondering the prismatic stone he had obtained from Lex, then looked at Clark and sighed, "Perhaps there's something I need to tell you."

Patting his friend on the shoulder, Gino said quietly:

"I've seen those prismatic stones on the rock face before."

"Ever since I saw the green stone, I have had people collect stones from the town."

"And a few months ago, someone found that prismatic stone in a mud pit east of the town."

He looked into Clark's eyes, which were filled with shock, and a hint of fear.

Clark seems to be both eagerly anticipating and afraid of getting closer to the truth about his origins, a contradictory mindset.

"So, so?" The big boy's face tightened as he swallowed hard.

"If you really want to know the truth, come find me in the cave at midnight tonight."

The boy released Clark's arm, his voice low and somber: "Of course, you can also choose to give up investigating your true identity."

"I chose to live as Clark Kent."

Gino waved to Clark, smiled, and turned to leave, leaving behind the words, "Sometimes knowing too much is a form of torture for yourself."

"The choice is yours, Clark."

Watching Gino's figure disappear over the hillside, Clark slumped to the ground, looking utterly dejected.

As he watched the setting sun, Clark was filled with conflicting emotions.

Just like the implication in Gino's words.

Clark also had some suspicions.

The truth behind my arrival on Earth may not be so simple.

The reason is simple: like the law of the jungle, higher civilizations will only exploit and plunder lower civilizations. How can an elephant reason with a monkey?

Clark looked down at the watch on his wrist.

There's still some time before midnight, and now I should consider whether to choose to seek out the truth.
