Chapter 1 Reborn as the Rich Second Generation's Brother

A small town in Kansas.

A huge GG sign stands in front of an endless cornfield, with the words "Welcome to the World's Creamy Corn Capital" written on it.

Zooming out, a helicopter wobbles across a cornfield, stirring up gusts of wind that rustle the corn stalks.

This is a small helicopter, and inside the cabin sits a blond man reading a newspaper.

Seemingly distracted by the howling wind outside the window, the man put down his newspaper and looked at the seat behind him.

Two blond boys sat on either side of the cabin. The younger, cuter boy was peeling an apple with a fruit knife, a stark contrast to his brother beside him, who had his eyes closed and looked tense.

Witnessing this scene, the man felt increasingly dissatisfied with his eldest son's behavior. Compared to his younger son, who was intelligent and mature since childhood, his eldest son seemed like a real child—timid and cowardly.

The man pursed his thin lips and snapped, "Lex, open your eyes!"

"But Father, I'm scared!"

Young Lex Luthor bit his lip, and if you looked closely, you could see that the boy's lips were already trembling.

One of the smartest humans in DC, a super-rich man whose wealth rivals that of Bruce Wayne, incredibly wealthy, a tech tycoon—any of the qualities of a high-quality man would be fitting for the future Lex Luthor.

As the younger brother of the future tycoon Lex Luthor, Gino was born with the advantage of being a rich second-generation heir, which means he was born at the end of his life.

This small gesture gave Lex some courage. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at Gino with a complicated expression.

From childhood to adulthood, he was always compared to his younger brother by his father. For example, his brother would care for their parents and bring them breakfast, which would become a weapon for his father to attack Lex.

Although his grades were better than Gino's, he couldn't compete with Gino's emotional intelligence. The only thing he could be proud of at home was that he was older than Gino.

"Alright, stop arguing. Look at the town down below, isn't it beautiful?" Lionel was annoyed by the noise.

The old man interrupted their argument, while Lex grabbed Gino's small hand and looked fearfully at the field scenery outside the plane.

Looking at the town's chimneys, the beautiful asphalt roads, and the faint tractors, Lex cheered with delight at the sights he couldn't see in the city: "It's really beautiful."

To be honest, this kind of view is not common in the metropolis.

The roaring helicopter landed, and Lex, who had been listless on the helicopter, immediately perked up. He jumped off the helicopter first and looked up at Gino with a defiant gaze, as if he had won a victory.

"See? I got off the helicopter before you!"

Gino ignored Lex's provocation and followed his father off the helicopter.

As soon as he got off the plane, several factory workers surrounded him and asked him to process some documents.

Gino sighed:

"Listen carefully, my foolish brother."

Lex stopped and listened.

"Help me!"

"Please, please, save me!"

A faint, almost inaudible whisper echoed in their ears, like an unseen, strange ghost.

"What happened?"

Lex gripped Gino’s arm again, swallowing nervously.

"The sound seems to be coming from over there." Gino looked up to his right and stepped toward the direction of the sound.

"Wait a minute! Don't run around! What if there really is a ghost?" Lex watched Gino leave, worried about his little brother's safety, so he gritted his teeth and chased after Gino.

The two walked through the damp mud and pushed aside the corn stalks, finally finding the source of the sound.

"Is that a person?" Lex asked in surprise.

In the cornfield, a shirtless young man was tied to a wooden cross with ropes. A large "S" was painted on his chest with red paint, and his black hair was soaked with sweat and stuck to his cheeks.

Upon seeing the two men, the man's eyes lit up, and he pleaded, "Please, save me!"
