A certain broken Hogwarts

Chapter 79 Plans and Unexpected Events

Chapter 79 Plans and Unexpected Events

After making thorough mental preparations, Owen regained his usual composure and began to subtly inquire about Voldemort's plan, deciding to use his intelligence to help him refine it.

"Professor, should we start by robbing these?" Owen pointed to a nearby stall. The old witch sitting behind the stall shakily raised her head, revealing a sinister smile and a mouthful of black teeth.

"The most valuable things on the black market aren't here; they're all stored in the deepest tents, guarded by a few insignificant little groups." Voldemort seemed to be in a pretty good mood, even having the mind to explain to Owen, "That's our target."

"Small organizations?" Owen raised an eyebrow. "Professor, you must be referring to some of the most powerful dark wizarding organizations in the country..."

"At the height of their power? Hah..." Voldemort said sarcastically, "Just a fleeting little gang. Back when I frequented the black market, they weren't the ones running it."

"Did the professor used to come here often?" Owen couldn't help but silently mourn for those dark wizarding organizations for a second.

Voldemort chuckled: "I haven't come here often since then, because I've taken over those small organizations and turned this place into mine."

Ah, what kind of inspirational drama is this, where a man from humble beginnings rises to become a winner in life through hard work... Owen thought to himself.

A tall black tent could be seen in the distance, with a steady stream of people coming and going from the entrance. Outside the tent stood two burly guards, waving their wands menacingly at the passersby.

At that moment, Voldemort told Owen in a very soft voice what he needed to do. His voice was so low that it reached Owen's ears clearly without attracting the attention of the passersby.

"Next, I'll make you invisible. You just need to follow the guidance of my spell to find a few people, secretly cast the Imperius Spell on them, and order them to say the command simultaneously ten minutes later," he said calmly, without any intention of explaining his plan.

"Um, could you please tell me about your plan, Professor?" Owen said earnestly. "I think even the most meticulous and perfect plan can have unexpected problems. To ensure that the operation won't fall apart because of some small thing, I think I'd better understand the specifics of the plan..."

"Yes, I don't want to let you down." He said these words against his will, his voice filled with immense pain.

Voldemort was silent for a moment, the atmosphere heavy and oppressive. After a long while, he suddenly chuckled and said, "It won't hurt to tell you. Don't disappoint me, Owen."

"I've always been confident in my execution and adaptability," Irving said with a confident smile, revealing eight teeth.

Voldemort slowly said, "To prepare for a possible Auror attack and to facilitate an escape with valuable goods, the black market tents have a unique and convenient emergency mechanism that can expel everyone inside in a very short time and shrink into a portable box. This is something we can utilize."

"The password to activate emergency measures is usually shared by three people from different wizarding organizations. They hide in tents, and outsiders will not know who holds the password. Only when danger strikes will they simultaneously recite the secret incantation and then appear out of nowhere with the tent as a phantom."

"I happen to have developed a little spell that can be used to find these people. Of course, there are usually ways to detect magical fluctuations inside the tents, and if a guest casts a spell inside, the guard will immediately lock onto them... So, I need a helper."

"I'll first disable that little device that monitors magical fluctuations. This will raise some alert, but it will also buy us some time. Next, I'll work with you to find the three people scattered throughout the tents, and we'll each take control of them."

Voldemort slowly explained his plan, something he was probably very skilled at, as his plan was quite thorough.

"Do you have any more questions?" he asked indifferently.

"No problem, Professor." Irving shook his head.

Voldemort extended his pale finger and tapped it twice around him. Without a sound, the two figures vanished into thin air.

Irving glanced at his body and found that he had become completely transparent. At the same time, three thin silver lines, like spider silk, meandered into the tent in front of him. One line led forward, two pointed straight to the right side of the tent, and one of them was constantly shifting its direction.

"Ha, after all these years, they still haven't remembered to improve this mechanism." Voldemort's low, mocking voice came through. "You go to the right."

Owen pursed his lips, took his wand in his hand, carefully avoided the passing crowd, and followed a strange-smelling guy into the tent.

The space inside the tent was much larger than it appeared from the outside. In front of you was a corridor with two branching paths, lined with shops on both sides. Through the dirty shop windows, you could see rows of shelves inside the shops.

Irving followed the silver line leading to the right into the side path, hurrying along the dark passage. Guided by the silver line, he only needed to avoid the crowded people and move towards his goal.

"Wow, it's really too easy for a magic master to rob a black market or Gringotts." He clicked his tongue slightly. A guy in a black cloak next to him suddenly sniffed in his direction, making a whimpering sound in his throat, as if he were a hungry vampire who had keenly caught Owen's scent.

Owen quickly slipped past a tall wizard, and the vampire who was chasing him and sniffing him bumped into him, getting kicked hard to the ground. The surrounding pedestrians didn't seem surprised at all, they just lowered their heads and walked a little faster.

Just as he rounded another corner, Owen unexpectedly encountered his target; the silver thread connected to a figure ahead who was examining the merchandise in a shop window. Owen quickly glanced around and, unsurprisingly, saw two men standing a short distance away, cautiously looking around—presumably his guards.

Next, Owen leisurely followed behind this person, waiting for Voldemort to finish things up.

Less than two minutes later, Owen noticed a slight commotion around him. His target nearly jumped up in alarm, and the two guards hurriedly pushed through the crowd.

Owen pointed his wand at the target in front of him and whispered, "Out of body."

The presence of the Dark Guardian amplified his inner emotions, and the spell was cast with ease. He felt a tingling warmth surge from his mind, a sensation that traveled up his arm to his wand and connected to its thoughts.

The figure in front of them paused slightly before continuing to frantically approach their guard, appearing completely normal.

Irving watched as the silver thread connecting him to the person in front of him snapped, chuckled, pulled his hood down a little, and continued on his way, following the direction indicated by the other silver thread.

When he finally managed to get to the shop that the silver thread connected to after evading the heavily guarded soldiers, he discovered that another silver thread had also broken.

"Looks like this is all that's left..." Owen crouched down and slipped into the shop from among the guards at the door, quickly weaving through rows of black shelves displaying boxes of various colors.

He went to the deepest part of the shop and saw the silver line extending straight into a room ahead. From inside the tightly closed door came eerie, agonizing screams, as if leading to hell.

As a man in black robes opened the door and went inside, Owen slipped in and found that there were also rows of shelves. However, the items displayed on them were even more chilling.

On the heavy shelves were jars, inside which floated slightly murky water the jars, pounding hearts, slightly wriggling brains, and bobbing eyeballs, and even the heads of dead people, the corpses of infants, and withered limbs.

Several customers were slowly examining the goods on the shelves, occasionally commenting on them.

Owen frowned as he examined the goods, noticing the labels below indicating the creatures they came from. These included common or rare magical animals, werewolves and vampires, fairies, and even humans… It was hard to imagine just how many creatures they had harmed.

The wailing and screaming coming from deep within the shelves grew even more agonizing; it was a shrill female voice. Owen followed the silver thread to the depths of the shelves and saw a group of men in black robes, some standing and some sitting, gathered in the open space between the shelves, grinning as they tormented a woman with spells.

The red-haired woman, sprawled on the ground, let out inhuman screams. Her face, covered in blood and scars, was unrecognizable, except for a pair of eyes burning with hatred, like a blazing fire.

Owen glanced at the woman, but had no time to pay her any attention. He simply drew his wand and chanted "Out of body" at one of the men in black robes.

The man pointing his wand at the woman suddenly froze, his laughter abruptly ceasing. He raised his wand slightly and then pressed it down again, as if stuck, uttering a muttered incomprehensible sound, drawing puzzled glances from those around him.

Owen sensed something was wrong the moment he finished reciting the Imperius Curse. This person possessed an extraordinary resistance to his control. It wasn't due to strong willpower; rather, he had already been controlled by the Imperius Curse long before!

Irving could sense that the guy who had controlled this person earlier was the black-robed man to his right!

He tried to dispel the Imperius Curse, but it was too late. The man to his right, sensing something, looked towards Owen's position and suddenly pointed at him, shouting:

"Intruder! Someone has sneaked in!"
