A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 913 The Youngest Death Eater

Chapter 913 The Youngest Death Eater

at dusk,

The dim light slanted and fell on the earth, and the ancient manor was as silent as a tomb.

The carved wooden windows and crystal glass reflected the remaining sunlight, casting dappled shadows in the study, making it difficult to see clearly.

However, upon closer inspection, one will find two people in the room... a man and a woman.

And intermittent...sobbing sounds.

The man stood in front of the bookshelf, a tall cabinet crammed with exquisite magic books, whose enormous shadows enveloped half of his body.

The other half of his body was bathed in light, his pale bald head gleaming.

As time goes by, the glory slowly fades.

The alternation of light and shadow left the room devoid of warmth, and the woman's sobs coming from behind the man made him look like... a demon!

"Narcissa, I can't pretend I'm not angry."

The man spoke.

"I gave you my trust, and I gave your husband Lucius a year, but what did he give me in return?"

The Dark Lord narrowed his red eyes, his expression cold as he said:

"He himself was caught, along with so many others, and the prophecy ball was never retrieved."

They even forced me to declare war... The timing was too rushed, not what I wanted!

Do you understand?!

"Please, Master, forgive us," Narcissa sobbed, her pale face filled with pleading.

"What are you talking about? Of course I will forgive you." Voldemort looked at Narcissa.

"You are the daughter of Signas Black and Druella Rozier."

They were both Slytherin students back then, and they were also my classmates.

Although they weren't Death Eaters themselves, they shared some of my views.

Voldemort shook his cloak and slowly walked up to Narcissa.

"And your sister Bella, she was my most trusted servant, though her whereabouts are currently unknown, she has probably been... killed by Stark."

The Dark Lord gazed at the woman who bore a striking resemblance to Bella, and who was even more pampered and well-maintained, and chuckled softly:

"Because of these people, after your husband Lucius is imprisoned, I will take care of you in his place and forgive you."

Narcissa took a breath and then covered her face with her hands, as if she were sobbing without tears.

But Voldemort suddenly changed the subject and asked:

"Have you been in contact with that older sister named Andromeda, or your cousin Sirius Black, lately?"

"I have no master. I have never seen them since you were resurrected!" Narcissa cried again.

"It's alright, Sirius is a member of the Order of the Phoenix," Voldemort chuckled.

"Your sister's daughter—that one named Tonks—is also very close to Stark."

"Getting closer to them will benefit your family too; it's like having a backup plan, isn't it?"

Narcissa trembled and immediately swore:

"If I see them, I will kill them with my own hands! I will have no contact with them whatsoever!"

"You see, Narcissa, of course I believe you." Voldemort slowly paced around.

"But because of the two of them, many Death Eaters believe that your family's stance...is not firm enough!"

"That's why your husband wasn't doing his job properly for me, and that's why he was arrested."

Voldemort walked to the window and looked out over the vast manor through the curtains.

"Many people even believe that he was Dumbledore's spy, which led to the leak of information about this Ministry of Magic operation in advance."

"Lucius... really didn't," Narcissa stammered, trembling.

"He has always been loyal to you, I swear, we are willing to do anything for you!"

"So, Narcissa, what can you do for me now?"

Voldemort abruptly drew the curtains shut, turned to face Narcissa, and said with interest, "Let me hear it."

Narcissa knelt on the ground, her hands, crossed on her knees, began to turn pale and tremble. She dared not look up, her eyes fixed on the pair of bare feet not far away.

Suppressing her humiliation and disgust, she slowly crawled over, kissed the feet, and cried out:

"I can join the Death Eaters and carry out missions for Lucius!"

Lucius was a Death Eater, but his wife Narcissa was not; she never joined.

Voldemort chuckled and sat down in the armchair. He leaned close to Narcissa's ear and slowly said:

"No, I don't need you! Aren't there any other men in the Malfoy family besides your husband?!"

Narcissa collapsed to the ground; she already knew what the Dark Lord wanted.

"What, you don't want to?" The Dark Lord's voice had turned cold.

"But Draco is only sixteen... He... He's my only son, Master!"

"I'm not young anymore. At sixteen, I've already killed quite a few people."

Your sister Bella is also willing to give herself to me.

Voldemort leaned back in his chair, his two pale hands resting lazily on the armrests, and smiled as he looked at Narcissa's tear-streaked face.

"I believe... with Lucius in prison, your son Draco should take up the honor of the Malfoy family on behalf of his father."

Narcissa felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her head; she knew the Dark Lord was punishing her husband.

But it's too cruel... Draco is her only son... she'll do anything for him, she'll make him do anything.

The only exception is my son... No way!

Voldemort smiled cruelly.

He preferred to punish his servants this way, taking away their cherished possessions, which was far more...comfortable than a "heart-piercing torture".

"How's it going, Draco?" The Dark Lord suddenly turned his head and laughed.

"Whether you're willing to become the youngest Death Eater and work for me, you should be proud."

Narcissa was shocked; she hadn't expected her son to have been hiding in the room all along.

Were you worried about being summoned by the Dark Lord, so you secretly followed him?!

The invisibility cloak was pulled open, revealing a thin figure standing in the corner, with a pale, thin, and blurry face beneath pale golden hair.

Draco's lips trembled, his whole body shook, and he dared not approach the Dark Lord, nor look at him.

"Draco, I will give you the Dark Mark and make you a Death Eater."

Voldemort said coldly, "But in return, I will give you a task."

Narcissa's knees, kneeling on the cold stone, felt a bone-chilling cold.

The chill rose up her body, and a sudden sense of fear washed over her.

Sure enough, the Dark Lord said, word by word:

"Kill Dumbledore and Stark for me."

Narcissa burst into tears, staring at the Dark Lord in despair.

She originally thought that the Dark Lord's punishment would at most involve Draco participating in missions, but she never expected that he would just... die!

It's even more cruel than death.

Because death is but a fleeting moment, the Dark Lord wanted Draco to retain a sliver of hope, so that he would ultimately die in despair amidst the impossibility.

"If you succeed," Voldemort hissed, walking towards Draco, grabbing his left hand.

"You will achieve greater honors than anyone else... I'm waiting for you."

Draco didn't hear the Dark Lord's words; he couldn't even think, because he only felt a sharp pain in his left arm.

The wand struck Draco's hand like a knife, and he felt as if his whole body was on fire.

"Ahhhhh!"

The manor, which had resembled a tomb, was suddenly filled with a heart-wrenching scream.

The peacocks that Lucius had carefully kept in the yard were also frightened and scattered.
