A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 825 Images Engraved in DNA
Chapter 825 Images Engraved in DNA
Professor Trelawney's performance in class quickly spread and sparked heated discussions among the students.
In particular, her almost curse-like prophecy about Umbridge earned her the reputation as the most courageous teacher at Hogwarts.
Everyone used to think she was a fraud, but on the other hand, the students hated Umbridge.
Between two evils, choose the lesser... The young wizards generally sided with Trelawney, cheering her on.
If her prophecy is false, I hope it is true.
If her prediction is true, I hope it comes true immediately!
Of course, many students were also worried that Professor Trelawney would be expelled.
Umbridge is a senior investigator with the power to dismiss teachers, and it would be unwise to go against her.
On another note, there's a long-standing rumor circulating at Hogwarts:
Trelawney is Dumbledore's illegitimate daughter.
It is said that the divination class was originally planned to be discontinued as a major, but it was ultimately kept for her.
This person has incredibly powerful connections.
Who knows, Umbridge might be kicked out by Dumbledore in a few days.
However, Umbridge didn't care about any of that; she had already investigated and found out that Trelaw had no powerful backing.
There's a strategy to making things difficult for her first.
A persimmon needs to be soft to be easy to squeeze; that's how you establish authority!
The second step is to bare your fangs and confront the toughest opponent head-on.
Besides Dumbledore, who has the most power at Hogwarts?
Of course, it's McGonagall.
She was Dumbledore's right-hand woman; when the headmaster was away, she was the one in charge.
The key point is that Professor McGonagall is the vice principal; once they find her problem, they can expel her from the school.
And at that time, the position of vice principal... belonged to her.
But Professor McGonagall was no pushover either; she didn't care about Umbridge at all.
Or perhaps, having taught for decades, her professional skills are so strong that it's impossible to find any mistakes.
Umbridge mimicked the behavior in the divination class, coughing incessantly.
Professor McGonagall didn't hold back at all and directly retorted:
"If you have a sore throat, go to the school clinic; if you have a brain problem, go to St. Mungo's."
Umbridge grimaced, and it wasn't until get out of class ended that he finally had a chance to ask a few students some questions.
But no one dared to say anything bad about the McGonagall Church; they all acted like they were praising the church, exaggerating its achievements.
As Umbridge inquired, everyone learned that Professor McGonagall had been teaching at this school for thirty-nine years.
Shocking! There was a Gryffindor headmaster who lived for nearly forty years?
It seems that Dumbledore's exceptionally long tenure has prevented Professor McGonagall, the vice-principal, from advancing any further.
After class, all the students left.
Umbridge quickly finished his questioning and headed towards his office.
She has another date!
She wanted to give Dumbledore a surprise at the Halloween dinner!
Umbridge had heard of the "Halloween curse" and now she's ready to carry on this precious tradition herself!
After entering the office, Umbridge dressed up a little and changed into her best leopard-print outfit.
She also sprayed on some perfume.
Not long after, there was a knock on the door. It was the agreed-upon rhythm.
"Come in," she said sweetly.
Cedric pushed the door open and came in, then sneezed several times.
What's that smell...? It's so pungent!
He covered his nose and said:
"Professor, William and the others have begun; they are currently crafting a magical item for you."
"Great, let's go!" Umbridge said excitedly.
The two left the Defense Against the Dark Arts office; there weren't many students left in the corridor, as most had gone to the Great Hall.
Cedric deliberately bypassed the crowd and led the way:
"Professor, let's go this way, through this secret passage."
He pushed aside a portrait to avoid the crowd.
"A secret passage?" Umbridge paused, taken aback. "Can't we just go directly there?"
“No, William’s spies are everywhere in this school,” Cedric explained.
"If they are seen, they will likely tip them off."
"What a thoughtful young man," Umbridge said with a sweet smile.
Cedric felt so disgusted that he got goosebumps.
The two entered the secret passage, and Umbridge said gently:
"If this succeeds, Cedric, you can work in my office after you graduate."
Cedric forced a smile and said, "Yes, Professor, I'd be happy to work with you..."
Seeing that there was no one else in the secret passage, Umbridge suddenly reached out her short, stubby, ring-adorned finger and grabbed Cedric's arm.
Cedric tried to break free, but Umbridge held his hand tightly, her smile stretching her puffy, wide mouth wide.
"If I had gotten married back then, my child would probably be about your age now."
Unfortunately, I'm so unlucky, I'm already this old...
Umbridge started sobbing, looking disgustingly like she would keep crying unless Cedric comforted her.
Cedric really wanted to slap Umbridge, but the words that came out were:
"It's alright, Professor. I've heard that Muggle technology is quite advanced."
Even at your age, you can find a surrogate mother and have two children... you won't have any regrets.
"Really? You can accept this?" Umbridge's eyes widened.
"Of course, that's acceptable," Cedric waved his hand.
Umbridge laughed:
"But more than children, I prefer a big, caring young man who can take care of me... like you."
Cedric regretted it.
He shouldn't have taken Umbridge through the secret passage, otherwise the other party wouldn't have been so blatant in touching him!
The last time something like this happened was last year during the Three Kingdoms Tournament at Black Lake, when I was almost kidnapped by the Little Mermaid.
And this time, Umbridge took a liking to him again.
As expected, being too handsome isn't always a good thing.
Cedric felt he had sacrificed too much, and William would have to make it up to him later!
Fortunately, the distance wasn't too far. After some pulling and tugging, the two finally emerged from the secret passage and arrived at the door of an abandoned washroom.
"This is Myrtle's bathroom. Nobody comes here usually, so William uses it as a secret base." Cedric quietly pushed open the door.
"No wonder we couldn't catch them; they were hiding here." Umbridge, unsuspecting, drew her wand.
The two stepped into the room together, and Cedric asked softly as a final question:
"Professor, are you sure you can really swim?"
"Of course we will. Didn't we just agree that we're going to France for vacation this Christmas?"
Umbridge winked. "I can teach you."
"William, if you don't make a move, I will!" Cedric roared, veins bulging on his face.
William's voice, tinged with laughter, came from behind: "Fainted on the ground!"
Umbridge didn't even have time to react before collapsing to the ground.
William walked over and teased:
"Have you all developed to this point?"
"Get out of here! If you dare tell Qiu, I'll fight you to the death!" Cedric roared in exasperation.
"You said it yourself, that Umbridge wanted to recruit you as a spy." William laughed so hard he bent over.
"I initially thought you were just a spy, but it turns out you were using your charm..."
In my past life, I often saw news reports about male students being assaulted by female teachers.
There were also many comments below expressing envy, jealousy, and resentment, wishing they could take that student's place.
It's unclear whether anyone is willing to take Cedric's place and develop an improper relationship with Umbridge.
"Hurry up, the dinner is about to start," Cedric urged.
"Okay, I'll alter her memories and replace you with someone else. Otherwise, when she wakes up, she'll cause trouble for you and Mr. Diggory."
William raised his wand and aimed it at Umbridge.
Cedric hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said:
"William, give me a moment of 'complete forgetfulness' too, so I can forget what happened in the secret passage!"
The scene from just now is etched into Cedric's DNA. He's afraid he'll have nightmares every night if he doesn't completely forget it.
William, however, was thinking:
It would indeed make Cedric forget, so that he could seduce Umbridge a second time.
