Inside the conference hall,
Mrs. Weasley pushed open the door and sat down next to Arthur.
Many wizards looked at her, but no one spoke, because Snape was giving a report.
He always hated it when people interrupted him during his presentations... Sirius Black did that before.
During the duration of a report, it was tactically interrupted seven or eight times, each time lasting thirty seconds.
The duration may be short, but if it happens too frequently, no one can stand it.
The two ended up arguing and almost came to blows.
From then on, no one dared to mess with Snape... So in the quiet meeting room, he read the long stack of documents as if he were chanting.
Is this report interesting?
Of course it's fun.
Not seeing Mungerston, Snape nodded approvingly with his head down, as if he were reciting a beautiful sonnet rather than a report.
Of course, it would be even better if you didn't drool.
Fortunately, Mrs. Weasley's arrival made Snape realize that his speech had indeed been a bit long.
It seems I need to be concise and speed things up.
He picked up his cup, took a small sip without haste, cleared his throat, and read the report for another twenty minutes before concluding his remarks:
"In short, the disastrous failure of recruiting giants in the Alps greatly angered the Dark Lord."
After punishing a few Death Eaters, he dispatched more troops and a large number of gifts for the giants.
"Still not giving up?"
With Dumbledore absent and McGonagall in charge, she pondered for a moment before speaking:
"According to William, Friedwafa should have already gained an absolute advantage."
"We do have advantages, but we can't say they're absolute," William explained to the crowd.
"Giants are a short-sighted race. Even if they surrender to Friedwafa out of fear, they may later rebel due to greed."
"Write to Hagrid," McGonagall ordered. "Tell him and Mrs. Maxim to be very careful."
William nodded slightly, indicating that he had made a note of it.
Voldemort's intentions are still uncertain, and it is indeed necessary to remind the two of them.
But William always felt that Old V had other plans.
That old man is ruthless!
After Snape's report, it was the Ministry of Magic's turn.
Mr. Weasley provided an important piece of information:
"Malfoy has recently been getting very close to Minister Fudge, and they're supposedly talking about donating a building, but he's not the type to be so proactive."
Snape nodded to himself; from what he knew, Malfoy was indeed not such a generous person.
This must be the master's task!
He has been investigating the task the Dark Lord gave Malfoy, but has made no progress.
"Be careful, he might use the Imperius Curse to control Fudge," Mad-Eye Moody said gruffly, his eyes wide.
"We can't let Fudge end up like that idiot Ludo Bagman."
Last year, Ludo was controlled by Barty Jr.'s Imperishable Curse for a whole year, and no one noticed.
"I'll be careful." Mr. Weasley was also taken aback, sensing that this was a possibility.
After all, looking at Fudge's idiotic actions, it felt like he was being controlled by a soul-stealing curse.
No normal person would do such a thing!
"Now we need to discuss the trial," McGonagall spoke again. "William, about Hermione..."
"Don't worry, I'll defend her innocence," William said softly. "She'll be fine."
Everyone looked at William with curiosity.
Hermione's problem was incredibly difficult, and it seemed like there was no way to turn things around. They had no idea why William was so confident.
Furthermore, Hermione actually knocked out three Aurors and a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Magic all by herself...
All I can say is... they're incredibly bold!
Perhaps, this is what makes a strong person!
"Very well, since you put it that way, William, then the problem lies with Harry." McGonagall tapped the table.
"First, we need a witness, someone who saw the Dementors."
"How's that Muggle named Dudley?" Tonks asked. "He's definitely been attacked."
“No, Muggles may be affected by Dementors, but they can’t see them,” Lupin countered. “They can’t testify.”
“What about Mrs. Figg?” William suggested. “Squibs can see Dementors too.”
"Fudge will question the Squib's testimony," Moody said gruffly.
"Squibs have human rights too!" Tonks muttered in dissatisfaction.
"If someone hadn't deserted their post, this wouldn't have happened!" Mrs. Weasley glared at Mundungus.
However, Mundungus's Sleeping Arhat Fist has already reached the later stage of cultivation, and he has not yet awakened.
McGonagall made the decision:
"Mrs. Figg will be my witness. But I need her to be able to describe the Dementors accurately."
"Tonks, write it down and have Mrs. Figg memorize it. There can't be any mistakes."
Tonks nodded.
"Also," Professor McGonagall looked around, "we need a lawyer to defend Harry."
William definitely couldn't do it; he had to defend Hermione.
The two trials were held on the same day, with only an hour between them.
The trial is not over yet, and the second one may have already begun.
William couldn't possibly defend Hermione while simultaneously defending Harry.
Professor McGonagall could, but she's been very busy lately and simply doesn't have the time.
With Dumbledore away from school, she not only had to oversee Hogwarts affairs but also manage the Order of the Phoenix.
The principal should be hands-off, but she can't do that.
Professor McGonagall stated that she was getting on in years and needed to train a secretary.
William is great!
Just then, Snape suddenly smiled maliciously and said, "I'll go. I'll definitely get Potter... acquitted."
William looked at him suspiciously.
If Professor Snape had pleaded not guilty, Harry would have been kissed by the Dementors and would have been imprisoned for life, wouldn't he?
Professor McGonagall also frowned, considering whether it was feasible.
Although Dumbledore said to trust Snape, however...
Of course, apart from a few Hogwarts professors, most of the other members of the Order of the Phoenix had no objections.
They were unaware of the conflict between Snape and Harry.
Although puzzled that the usually aloof Snape would take on this matter, he didn't think much of it.
Perhaps Professor Snape secretly liked Harry?
Besides... what bad intentions could the old bat possibly have?
Since Snape insisted on going, even Professor McGonagall, after much deliberation, had no choice but to agree.
After the last item in the discussion was finished, everyone stood up.
Snape had landed a good job and was quite pleased with himself. He was the first to step out, his steps light and graceful.
But as soon as he opened the door, he froze... Five or six large dung balls suddenly came flying at him, landing right on him.
Snape was dumbfounded.
No one could have imagined that such an important meeting place as the Order of the Phoenix would be bombarded with excrement after the meeting room door was opened!
Feeling his body soaking wet, he screamed and Apparated away.
The stench began to spread, permeating the room.
Good guy.
William quickly cast a hair-soaking spell on himself.
"It must have been Anne and Ginny who did it!" Tonks laughed, bending over with laughter, next to William.
"I told them that Mrs. Weasley had cast a 'disruption spell' on the door to prevent eavesdropping."
"If you throw something at the door and it doesn't touch you, it means you've recited an anti-interference spell. I'll have them try it with a dung ball..."
"..."
After leaving the room, Annie and Ginny both pretended that nothing had happened.
Ginny went even further and blamed it on her cat.
"Harry, long time no see. How was your summer vacation?" William greeted him.
Harry wanted to say it was terrible.
But recalling what Cho had just told him... especially knowing William and Hermione, and after his experiences this summer, he really couldn't bring himself to use the word "bad."
Because he was simply staying safely at his aunt's house.
Harry forced a smile and said, "Not bad... Any news about Sirius? I wrote to him, but haven't received a reply."
"He's gone on a top-secret mission and won't be back for a while... This is a letter he gave you, and he asked me to bring it back." William took out several letters.
Harry happily accepted it.
"William, will you be staying for dinner?" Mrs. Weasley invited.
"No, we just got back to England today and haven't even had a chance to go home yet," Hermione politely declined.
William reached out his hand, and Hermione and Anne, standing on either side of him, took his arm.
"Well then, everyone, goodbye."
Under everyone's gaze, the three disappeared into thin air.
