Chapter 760 Stark and Grindelwald's Alliance

There's a reason why Fiendfire is classified as an extremely dangerous form of black magic.

It cannot be extinguished with water, and it can continue to grow, devouring anything that can burn, giving it a similar feel to Amaterasu.

The Kraken was sent by Death to kill the owner of the Deathly Hallows; it is a monster of the same level as the twin dragons of the Goblet of Fire.

Since they are monsters of the same level, it is only natural that they cannot be killed.

Merlin couldn't kill the Red and White Dragons; he only managed to seal them within the Goblet of Fire using Stonehenge... It seems the Kraken could only be sealed as well.

This suggests that the two Stonehenges share a common origin, or are essentially one entity.

In other words, both Stonehenge were set up by Merlin, like a prison, with Merlin as the warden.

With the warden gone, Vivian, a prisoner, plotted to escape, projecting her powers to trick the mermaid into helping her collect something.

William, holding another cell—the Holy Grail—discovered her escape and could then resonate with the power of Stonehenge to limit its projection.

Similarly, the red dragon and the white dragon were originally in the same cell, but after the white dragon was taken away by Vivian, he went into her cell.

But in essence, the Red and White Dragons are still in a prison and have not escaped, so the power of the Holy Grail cannot be triggered.

This was clearly a deliberate scheme by Merlin... As for the reason, only he himself probably knows.

Since the Holy Grail cannot be used, the Kraken cannot be sealed; the only option is to use Grigorovich to lure it away.

What William had to do was buy enough time.

With a hissing sound, similar to cold water dripping onto a frying pan, the intense heat finally stopped.

Countless raindrops the size of soybeans contained powerful magic, along with offensive spells inscribed by Niven and acceleration magic.

In an instant, the rain poured down indiscriminately and violently upon the Kraken.

It felt as if ten thousand swords were falling from the sky.

Even though the Kraken is truly immortal, it is afraid of pain and unwilling to endure it completely.

The octopus spewed out a massive amount of water, turning the Danube River into a vast, blue ocean.

The siren's entire body submerged completely underwater.

A roar came from beneath the water, and towering waves were suddenly swirled up. Under the octopus's control, columns of water were forced to rise into the sky and crashed towards the young wizard on the shore.

The wizards watching from afar were terrified by what they saw.

William chuckled softly, slightly bent his knees, raised his wand high, and unleashed a torrent of magical power from below, summoning a massive silver shield.

If Voldemort were here, he would surely be cursing again:

Damn it, he stole my skills again!

A silver shield, summoned from the air, resembled a mirror, and water jets, like giant hammers, slammed into its surface.

Under the immense impact, the shield began to shake violently, followed by a series of thunderous booms.

Starting with William, the water began to freeze at a visible speed.

In just a few dozen seconds, the two of them had frozen the Danube River for several kilometers.

Even in the sweltering summer heat, the river was chilly.
