A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 717 Phoenix Command
Chapter 717 Phoenix Command
"I'll say it one last time: Mysterio was not resurrected! And there was no Death Eater gathering!"
Minister Fouché's voice was loud, and his face was flushed red, as if he needed a fresh oxygen tank to breathe.
He waved his arms excitedly and said:
"The Death Eaters are all waiting patiently in Azkaban, with Dementors watching over them."
Everything is safe and under my perfect control.
The magical world is peaceful; wizards live in harmony and their families are happy!
"Cornelly, you've ruined the whole plan. We could have captured those Death Eaters," Dumbledore said angrily. "Voldemort, he..."
Fudge was horrified, as if someone had punched him in the face with a left jab that grazed his right eye.
"Don't mention that damned name! Albus, the mysterious man is long dead, long dead, wake up!"
"Did you drink fake alcohol?!"
Fudge jumped and bounced around on the spot, looking like someone who had drunk fake alcohol.
"I forbid any Auror to go to the so-called graveyard, do you hear me, Dexter, where the hell have you been?"
"Minister, I've been watching from the door the whole time." Delix went inside.
"Then watch closely!" Fudge roared. "Anyone who dares to leave the ministry even for a moment will be immediately expelled and never hired again!"
Because he let Black go, Fudge always believed that Dexter was a traitor and one of Dumbledore's men.
That's why he was made to stand at the door to prevent him from taking the Aurors to the cemetery, while secretly Kingsley was sent to watch over the others.
But Delilah, unaware of this, excitedly exclaimed, "It's the Minister, I'm keeping an eye on him!"
The door opened again, and Mrs. Longbottom stormed in.
She was arguing with Umbridge, with Neville following at the back.
"What happened?" Dumbledore asked sternly, glancing at Umbridge and then at Mrs. Longbottom.
"It's nothing, Professor Dumbledore," Umbridge said in a high-pitched voice, all smiles.
Dumbledore completely ignored Umbridge and instead looked at Mrs. Longbottom, asking:
"Augusta, you should be with Neville, watching over Barty Crouch Jr...."
Umbridge's expression was rather grim.
"There's no need to guard him anymore, Dumbledore!" Mrs. Longbottom said angrily. "This Ministry official ensured that!"
Mrs. Longbottom's cheeks flushed with anger, and she clenched her fists as if she wanted to slap Umbridge.
"She suddenly brought the Dementors into the room, and the Dementors pounced on Crouch, then gave him... a kiss!"
Neville shuddered, seemingly still thinking about the horrific scene that had just occurred to him.
"My dear Mrs. Longbottom!" Fudge explained, "It was I who had Dolores bring the Dementors."
As Minister for Magic, I have the right to decide whether or not I want to have bodyguards, because Crouch is very dangerous—”
"But he can't come forward to testify now, Cornelius," Dumbledore said in a deep voice.
He stared sharply at Fudge, as if seeing right through him for the first time.
"He cannot provide evidence to support his plans."
"A plan? Heh, isn't that obvious!" Fudge scoffed.
"He's a madman, just like Black! He came to Hogwarts to kill, to avenge his master!!"
"He was following Voldemort's orders, Cornelius," Dumbledore said.
Crouch used the Imperius Curse to control Ludo, Krum, Weasley, and Harry.
Voldemort regained his physical form.
Umbridge gasped, seemingly startled.
"William has gone to rescue Harry and will bring him back," Dumbledore said firmly.
"They witnessed Voldemort's resurrection."
Fudge turned his head away, deliberately avoiding looking into Dumbledore's eyes.
He clutched his collar, and said uneasily:
"Dumbledore, I advise you not to believe everything you hear and always try to create a big news!"
This is fake news. Wait until William returns…
"It's not fake news, the mysterious man is back!" Neville, who had been standing silently in the corner, suddenly said.
"My grandmother and I both heard Crouch's words."
Fudge turned his head in surprise, and everyone looked at Neville.
Neville's hands trembled slightly, his empty palms clenched into fists, and he shouted loudly at the Minister of Magic:
"The mysterious man has come back to life! What are you afraid of?!"
"Scared?" Fudge asked, as if he'd stepped on someone's tail, his anger and embarrassment rising.
"Rebellion! Rebellion!"
"Even a mere wizard dares to speak to me, the minister, like that."
"You fool!" Mrs. Longbottom cried. "Bah! You're not even as good as my grandson!"
No, you're nowhere near as good as my grandson!
Fudge's face turned purplish-red, as if he were about to suffocate.
"In my view, you are all determined to create a sense of panic and destroy everything we have painstakingly built over the past thirteen years!"
"Voldemort is back," Dumbledore said again. "Cornelly, if you accept this fact immediately and take the necessary measures, we may still be able to turn the tide."
Dumbledore's voice gradually rose.
"If you follow my advice, the Ministry of Magic and the entire wizarding world will remember you forever and regard you as the greatest Minister of Magic in history."
If you do not take action—history will forever condemn you.
"Ridiculous!" Fudge muttered, continuing to back away step by step. "Insane...you're insane!"
Dumbledore said disappointedly, "If you insist, we'll have to part ways."
You be your Minister of Magic. I—act according to my own will.
Fudge flew into a rage, as if Dumbledore were approaching him with a wand in hand.
"Very well, very well, Dumbledore," he waved his arms.
"So you're saying you want to oppose me? You want to stand up to me?"
I have always held you in high esteem. I may not agree with some of your decisions, but I always maintain…
The door was pushed open again.
"Forget it, Professor. You can never wake someone who's pretending to be asleep. He's already wasting our time."
William led Hermione in quickly, followed by Professor McGonagall.
William was covered in blood and looked menacing.
"William, are you hurt?" Dumbledore asked with concern.
"It's Voldemort's blood... I stabbed him several times, and he's quite badly injured. He probably needs a healer right now," William said calmly.
Everyone in the principal's office gasped.
But only Dumbledore understood William's words.
It's time to send out the top little spy...Professor Snape.
"William," Fudge said, twirling his top hat, a hint of pleading in his voice, "he won't come back, it's impossible... You... you tell Albus..."
William completely ignored Fudge and didn't even glance at him.
A minister who won't stay in office for long isn't worth his time.
"Cornelly, the only one we want to oppose," Dumbledore said, "is Voldemort. If you also oppose him, Cornelius, then we're still on the same side."
Fudge seemed unable to think of a reply. His little feet wobbled unsteadily for a moment, then he looked up at Dumbledore and whispered:
"I don't know what tricks you're playing, Dumbledore. I've had enough."
I'll contact you again tomorrow to discuss the school's operational methods. I must return to the Ministry of Magic.
He stopped at the door, turned around, strode across the room, and stood beside Hermione.
"Your prize money, Miss Granger!" he said curtly, pulling a large bag of gold coins from his pocket.
"A thousand Galleons. There should have been an award ceremony, but you won in such a short time, and against twenty-three warriors."
But under the current circumstances…
Hermione didn't take it, but just gave him a cold look, and then took William's hand.
Fudge looked at William, opened his mouth, put Garon on the ground, put the top hat on his head, and quickly walked out of the principal's office.
Umbridge glanced back at the people in the office, then followed them out.
Dumbledore sat down in the chair, sighed, and looked at William, saying:
"This was my fault; I actually still had a sliver of hope for him..."
"Professor, we should have our own power, otherwise we wouldn't be restricted by the Ministry of Magic and the Aurors tonight," William said.
"Yes, you're right." Dumbledore looked up at Fawkes.
"I need to issue the Phoenix Order to restart... the Order of the Phoenix!"
Fox's eyes flashed, it let out a loud cry, and after a flash of light, it disappeared into the office.
