A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 647 William is my boyfriend!
Chapter 647 William is my boyfriend!
Ron walked dejectedly toward the Gryffindor common room.
The laughter around him turned into harsh mockery in his ears; everyone was whispering and surely ridiculing him... a toad trying to eat swan meat.
Ron walked with heavy steps, as if his legs no longer belonged to him.
"Fire Dragon".
Upon reaching the door of the lounge, he spoke dryly to the plump lady.
"Wrong, wrong! We've changed the password." The fat lady was putting on makeup in a mirror, not even glancing at Ron.
"Open the door now!" Ron said irritably.
"The password has changed. You must answer correctly, or I won't open the door." The fat lady ignored him.
"You've been here for four years, how come you're still as dumb as a freshman?"
Ron lowered his head for a moment, then suddenly roared without warning, "When was it changed?! I don't know! Open the door right now!"
"Why are you yelling so loudly?" The fat lady put down the mirror and looked up at Ron.
"Can't you be a little nicer? Besides, this was changed by Professor McGonagall. If you're not happy, go find her!"
"Toad!" a voice called out.
Ron thought he was being insulted, so he turned around and glared at her. Then he realized it was Ginny.
"This is the new password," Ginny said quickly, looking at the furious Ron.
"That's right, darling, it's a toad!" The plump lady smoothed her newly tied gold and silver hair ribbon as she turned forward.
Did Professor McGonagall already know and immediately change the password?
Ron thought sadly and went into the lounge without saying a word.
He found an empty sofa, lay down, and closed his eyes tightly.
The scene he had just witnessed kept replaying in his mind.
Ginny originally intended to go back to her dorm, but after thinking about it, she went there instead.
"Are you alright, Ron?" she asked in a low voice, trying to make it seem like she wasn't there to laugh at him.
Ron ignored her and just lay there like a corpse.
"It's not that bad, it's normal for the invitation to fail..." Ginny comforted her.
Ron suddenly opened his eyes, stared at Ginny, and snapped, "How did you know I invited you! Who told you?!"
"I... I was right there." Ginny's eyes flickered as she struggled to suppress a laugh. "It's okay, all the boys who invited Delacour failed... one more won't make a difference."
"..."
Ron glanced at Ginny's suppressed smile, then lay back down, feeling utterly hopeless, and ignored her completely.
The door was pushed open again, and Harry walked in, his face pale.
Upon entering the common room, Harry looked around and saw Ron lying in a corner in the distance, his face ashen.
Ginny sat down beside him and spoke to him in a very low voice, as if to comfort him.
"What's wrong, Ron?" Harry, eager to talk to someone, immediately went over to them.
Ron finally looked up at Harry, tears streaming down his face. He grabbed Harry's sleeve and said sadly:
"Harry, you're finally here. I just... I don't know why my mind just..."
"What's wrong?" Harry sat down next to Ron.
"He... um... just invited Fleur Delacour to the ball with him."
Ginny tried her best to appear somewhat sad, patting Ron's arm sympathetically.
"What's wrong with you?" Harry asked.
"I don't know how I could have done such a thing!" Ron said, panting. "I just acted impulsively and invited them without thinking."
What stupid thing am I doing?
There were people everywhere—a huge crowd—I was out of my mind—everyone was staring!
Ron covered his face.
"I saw her as I walked through the foyer—she was standing there talking to William—and I suddenly couldn't control myself—so I went up to her and asked her!"
He kept talking, but his words were barely audible.
"She just stared at me like I was some kind of sea cucumber. She didn't even bother to answer. Then—I don't know—I suddenly snapped out of it and ran away as fast as I could."
Looking at their expressions, Ron suddenly yelled, "Alright, laugh if you want to!"
Yes!
"I was a toad trying to eat swan meat, alright? Are you satisfied now?"
"No, Ron, I won't laugh at you." Harry said dejectedly, "I failed too. I just went to ask Cho, but she already agreed to Cedric's invitation."
Cedric, that beast!
Ginny suddenly stopped laughing.
"This is ridiculous," Ron said. "Is it just the two of us who don't have a dance partner?"
"I'm a brave warrior, how could I not find a dance partner? Can you believe it?"
Just then, Hermione came out of the dormitory, carrying an ancient spellbook.
She skipped these classes and now needs to go to William for private tutoring.
Of course, it wasn't tutoring fourth-grade material; she had already been previewing sixth-grade material with him.
William should be out of school by now.
Hermione quickly spotted the three people in the corner and asked in confusion:
"What are you all doing here? By the way, Ginny, have you seen Anne?"
What has she been up to lately?
Hermione also noticed Anne's unusual behavior; Anne had been hanging around her less often lately.
"Anne... Hermione, I promised her I wouldn't tell." Ginny shook her head apologetically.
"As for the two of them..."
Ginny glanced at Harry, her eyes filled with despair.
"They're sharing their sorrows here—both their invitations to the girls at the dance have been rejected!"
Harry immediately fell silent.
"Thanks, Ginny," Ron said sarcastically. "You're so thoughtful. Should we write a note and post it on the bulletin board?"
"You're welcome!" Ginny was still staring at Harry.
"All the pretty girls have been snatched up, haven't they, Ron?" Hermione chuckled. "Didn't you want to find pretty girls?"
Unfortunately, Eloise had started to become very beautiful, but she already had a dance partner.
"Of course, it's okay. I believe you'll find someone who's willing to accept you somewhere."
Hermione suggested, "Or... how about we ask Pansy? Oh, she's already invited Malfoy."
You've missed out on another 'good' girl.
Ron stared at Hermione, seemingly scrutinizing her with a completely new perspective.
"Hermione, you're right—I shouldn't judge a book by its cover... You're pretty good too."
"Oh, so?" Hermione said sarcastically.
"Then—you can choose one of us!"
Hermione stared at Ron, bewildered, and sneered, "What nonsense are you spouting? Have you lost your mind?"
"Hurry up," Ron said impatiently. "We need dance partners. It'll be embarrassing if everyone else has one and we don't..."
"Yes, but what do your pride have to do with me?" Hermione said haughtily. "Besides, I already have a dance partner!"
"No, you didn't!" Ron said immediately. "I know, you definitely want to go with William!"
Girls were lining up to invite him; I just saw Delacour inviting him in the lobby.
William would definitely choose Fleur, anyone would! She's so beautiful!
"Really?" Hermione's eyes flashed with a frightening light.
"Ron, of course I know Fleur likes William. She's known him for many years."
But that's nothing.
You have no idea what William and I went through, in Gringotts, in Paris, in Italy… those near-death adventures.”
Hermione's voice grew louder and louder, and everyone noticed the argument.
She made no attempt to hide her feelings, saying passionately, "I am irreplaceable to William."
He feels the same way about me!
I don't think William will accept Fleur's invitation, even though they are very good friends.
"Because..." Hermione raised her chin and said calmly, "William is my boyfriend!"
It always has been!
After saying that, she stormed off towards the exit of the lounge.
"She's lying," Ron said expressionlessly, watching her retreating figure.
"She didn't," Ginny whispered. "That year in Paris, William and Hermione became a couple."
They just don't want to tell anyone!
William had invited Hermione well in advance.
Ron, what nonsense were you spouting? You're such a pig!
"Okay," Ron said, looking completely bewildered.
"This is getting more and more ridiculous. Ginny, you can go with Harry, and I can invite Anne...isn't she your best friend?"
"I can't," Ginny said, her face flushed. "I already promised—I promised Neville."
Neville invited Anne, but she refused, so he invited me instead.
I think... anyway... anyway, if I don't agree, I can't go anyway, I'm not even in fourth grade yet.
"As for Annie... forget it, she wouldn't even look at you," Ginny said bluntly.
Ron glared at his sister.
"I think I have to go find her." Ginny stood up, lowered her head, and walked toward the hole behind the portrait.
Ron stared wide-eyed at Harry. "What's wrong with them? I didn't say anything!"
Hermione is William's girlfriend?! That's insane!
Harry remained silent.
He felt that...anyone could see the unusual nature of William and Hermione's relationship.
No one could possibly say what Ron just said.
Harry suddenly realized that compared to Ron, he didn't seem so bad after all.
He simply invited Qiu and was rejected... that's all.
Cedric... I'll burn you!
