A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 636 A One-in-a-Million Potions Prodigy
Chapter 636 A One-in-a-Million Potions Prodigy
Dumbledore acted faster than William had anticipated.
Less than two days after that conversation, he met Fox.
This also shows the headmaster's impatience. He certainly doesn't want another Horcrux to fall into Tom's hands.
Fox suddenly appeared in the classroom, startling the students.
Where did this huge bird come from?!
Fox was also a little confused. Had he come to the wrong classroom?
It sniffed. Strange, why does the air smell like fried eggs?
It looked around and finally found the source of all evil.
A green flame had appeared on William's desk.
A frying pan sits on the flame, with seven or eight eggs cracked into it. The eggs have turned into golden fried eggs and are emitting an enticing aroma.
Is this definitely a divination session?
That's right, this really is Professor Trelawney's divination class!
William stopped attending the class in the second semester of his third year.
But now that the exams are coming up soon, he came to check if there was anything he wanted to gain.
Professor Trelawney teaches like that, and still manages to get so many students through the exams every year... she must have some hidden gems up her sleeve.
In this lesson, Professor Trelawney taught everyone how to use eggs for divination.
Egg divination is a branch of divination that involves breaking an egg and interpreting the shape of the yolk as it falls.
However, many students were really shameless; they picked up raw eggs, broke them, and then ate them.
Especially McClargan, he ate seven or eight in a row, and then... he got diarrhea.
At his classmates' insistence, William made a magic fire and placed it on the table. He also added a magic potion to the table so it wouldn't burn.
So, the divination class turned into a food class, and the classroom was filled with the smell of smoke and fire.
As for Professor Trelawney, she seemed to have drunk too much fake alcohol and was slumped in her chair.
He claimed he wanted to use his third eye to see the future, but in reality he was just sneaking off to sleep.
He was snoring loudly.
Fox's small breasts and large buttocks caught the eye of many students.
Is this today's main dish?
Paired with a fried egg, I love it!
Fox glanced at the eggs in the pan and couldn't help but swallow.
Lately, it's been accompanying Dumbledore on his searches, always staying up late into the night. It hasn't even had time to eat yet today.
Upon seeing Fox, William stood up and walked towards Trelawney. He whispered:
"Professor, the principal needs to see me, I have to go now."
Professor Trelawney jolted awake, reaching for the crystal ball on the table, muttering to herself:
"I wasn't sleeping, I wasn't! Minerva, don't deduct my salary without permission, I'm warning you..."
"..."
Trelawney opened her eyes and, seeing it was William, wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth and quickly said, "
"Um, William, what were you doing? I was so engrossed in the world of the future that I didn't hear you."
"Professor Dumbledore wants to see me," William said, pointing to Fox.
I never expected it to be stealing fried eggs.
Stop, Fox!
Look at you, so naive and unsophisticated!
"William, I advise you not to go." Professor Trelawney reverted to her old charlatan persona.
She said mysteriously:
"I just traveled through the future, gazing into the abyss with my Heavenly Eye... Guess what I saw staring at me?"
"Is the abyss staring at you?" William wondered.
"Or perhaps a river formed by sherry?"
"It is death, my dear," Professor Trelawney sighed solemnly.
She spoke in a tone of overwhelming sadness:
"It's coming, getting closer and closer, like red and white dragons circling overhead, getting lower and lower... right above the castle... many people are going to die..."
"Well, but I think I'm going to be late." William pretended to glance at his watch. "Professor McGonagall is probably waiting for me there too."
Professor Trelawney's expression immediately changed, and she waved her hand as if shooing away mosquitoes.
"Hurry up and leave! I wasn't sleeping, so don't talk nonsense in front of Minerva! I'm warning you!"
William was about to leave the room when he realized that Falk hadn't followed.
It has already started stealing the fried eggs from Qiu's bowl.
William walked over, grabbed Fox's long tail feathers, and dragged it outside.
Look at you, so pathetic!
That's a disgrace to the principal.
……
……
The underground classroom was so cold it felt like it was frozen solid.
Some people are strange; they seem unafraid of the cold, wearing only the thinnest coat even in the dead of winter.
They don't even wear thermal underwear.
People who prioritize style over warmth are generally referred to as "playing the coquettish card"!
Professor Snape loved to show off; even in this cold weather, he was only wearing a thin black robe.
That's what he likes to wear in the summer... well, he wears the same outfit all year round.
But the underground classroom was extremely cold, so he had to keep his head hunched over and pace back and forth in the classroom.
Therefore, his temper became even more volatile.
"Longbottom, get your head out of your heel and use it again! Where's your salamander blood?"
Neville frantically grabbed a bottle and poured all the blood into it.
With a whoosh, the crucible burst into flames, emitting a pungent smell of burning rubber.
"Another zero, Longbottom," Snape said viciously.
Ron couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Laugh, didn't I say you were, Weasley?" he said, turning his head.
Ron immediately shut up.
"Looks like becoming a warrior has made your already fat face even more swollen," Snape said sarcastically.
"Gryffindor -5 points deducted!"
He stared at Harry's potion again, a malicious smile spreading across his face.
Harry lowered his head and smashed a bowl of scarabs with a hammer, as if it were Snape's face.
His potion had turned completely black, like paste.
But Harry had no idea which step he had gone wrong.
"Before Halloween, I told you all that I would poison one of you before Christmas to see if your antidote would work..."
Snape's thin lips twitched as he stared at Harry. "I think... it's time."
Not just Harry, all the students held their breath.
In fact, only Hermione's antidote in the entire class achieved the silver cyclone effect that Snape required.
She cooked it in just half an hour.
Hermione's methods of handling materials were very familiar to Snape... and were almost identical to William's.
Some of their techniques were even exactly the same as his.
Snape knew Hermione learned it from William. He just didn't know where William learned it from.
Just then, there was a knock on the door of the underground classroom, and everyone turned to look.
William appeared at the doorway, with a large bird perched on his shoulder.
"Excuse me, Professor Snape," William said.
"Shit, what is it?" Snape asked impatiently.
He was just waiting for William to step into the classroom so he could deduct points.
But William didn't come in; instead, he stood at the door and whispered:
"Excuse me, I need to take Hermione to the Headmaster's office. We have an appointment with Professor Dumbledore."
Snape's gaze dangled from his hooked nose as he looked at William with suspicion.
He always felt that William was lying to him, and then he took Granger on a date.
"Granger has an hour of Potions class," Snape said coldly. "She'll go with you after class."
"But the principal is waiting, we're probably going to be late." William tilted his head and gestured to Fox.
Snape squinted at William and remained silent for a moment.
Dumbledore hasn't returned for two days, and it seems to be related to this matter.
He frowned slightly with concern, but quickly relaxed.
Dumbledore should be safe, otherwise it would have been Big Dumbledore who went, not Granger who was also taken away.
"Fine!" Snape glared at William.
Hermione stood up with delight, while Ron looked at her jealously. This meant that she wouldn't be poisoned by Snape.
Snape thought for a moment, then suddenly walked toward Hermione.
He placed his left hand on the edge of Hermione's cauldron, bent down to examine it, and unusually said:
"The antidote is so-so, barely usable! Granger—take your things and get out of my sight!"
Hermione packed her things and hurriedly ran towards William.
Snape also went out.
Seeing him leave, Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, then immediately took their cups and scooped a large cupful from Hermione's cauldron.
They didn't care that the potion was too hot to handle and hurriedly poured it into their mouths.
Didn't you hear what Snape said?
Hermione's antidote was so-so. If even he said it was so-so, then it must be perfect!
Now we don't have to worry about Snape poisoning us anymore.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Hermione hugged William's arm.
Fox flapped his wings, hooked his claws around William's shoulders, and after a flash of fire, the two disappeared from the spot.
Professor Snape deliberately stood at the door before striding into the classroom.
He revealed a sinister smile.
Harry and Ron were already slumped over the table. Their faces were enormous, shiny, and red, as if they had been stung by bees.
Her lips also turned into sausage lips.
"I knew you two would drink Granger's antidote."
Snape shook his robes and sneered, "So I poured poison into her potion."
"Oh, I think I poisoned the wrong person. The antidote she made didn't work either."
Snape said in a softer, more sinister voice:
"However... give it a try, you two can try your own antidote."
If you can't drink it, then try each other's...unknown liquid!
"What if you two are one in a million potions prodigies?"
