A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 591 Ginny Defies Fate

Chapter 591 Ginny Defies Fate

In the evening, Hermione finished her meal as quickly as possible in the Great Hall.

Then, he rolled up some smoked meat and black pudding for William, and put a fried egg on his plate.

She acted like a gentle, submissive wife.

William was slightly taken aback, but still enjoyed Hermione's attentive service with a clear conscience.

It would be even better if he were wearing a maid outfit... He ate while his mind wandered.

When she was halfway full, Hermione suddenly asked with a smile:

"Aren't those fusiform snails cute?"

"..."

Looking at the chili sauce on the smoked meat, the tomato sauce on the meat and eggs, and the sticky pumpkin juice... with the maid outfit gone, William's mind was filled with images of fried snails spitting out feces.

Hermione was still chattering on, describing the appearance of the Blasttail.

The imagery is becoming increasingly vivid.

William covered his mouth, trying his best to stop himself from vomiting.

He said helplessly, "Hermione, please stop talking."

She narrowed her eyes slightly, gently raised her chin, and said softly with a smile:

"Anyway, I've already eaten, so I'm not worried. I'll just talk about what I'm saying, and you can eat what you're eating."

By the way, those frizzy-tailed snails are really cute.

I'll ask Hagrid for one tomorrow, and have it accompany your meals.

William flicked his finger as if to tap her forehead. She looked up, muttering about the fried snails and their crunchy texture.

William's lips twitched, then he used Occlusive Technique to quickly clear his mind, otherwise he really would vomit.

This is a war without gunfire, a war to decide whether or not to eliminate the blasting snail!

In fact, both of them knew perfectly well that the focus was no longer on the bombed snail... They were making a bet on who would surrender first.

They had played this private game, which was limited to just the two of them, several times already.

The loser of the bet must agree to any condition imposed on the winner.

Last year's bet: Could Hermione get a score of 10 or higher in Ancient Runes?

William was the professor of ancient runes, and the venue was his, so Hermione was naturally completely defeated.

This year, a new bet has begun: whether or not to eliminate the frizzy-tailed snail.

Hermione, of course, wanted to kill the Blasttails to nip the danger in the bud. William, on the other hand, stood on the other side, believing they should be kept.

Of course, since the tamarin was killed, William also lost.

So, no matter how disgusting it was, William had to grit his teeth and persevere, and he couldn't agree to eliminate the blasting snails!

If he wins, he can make a request: Hermione can dress him up as a maid on Christmas Eve.

If we lose...

God knows what strange requests Hermione might make. Her requests last year were certainly "bold" and "excessive"!

Judging from Hermione's eager look, she seems to want to retaliate even more fiercely.

"What's so cute?"

Annie, with her hair in pigtails, walked over quickly, carrying a large, bloated orange cat in her arms.

She sat down between the two of them, effectively separating them.

Luna and Ginny sat down on either side.

Hermione glared at Anne and Bobo, seemingly annoyed, and blocked their way.

Bobo Tea looked completely innocent; it had just been enjoying some snacks when Annie forcibly took it away.

Ever since William cut off the Boba Tea treats, the cat, bored with its life, has had no choice but to start a career of acting cute and begging for dried fish.

Five packs of dried fish allow you to touch them for 30 seconds; if you want to extend your time, you'll have to wait in line. If you want to hold them or stay overnight, you'll need to pay extra!

Without enough snacks to replenish its energy, how could it have the strength to run and sprint around the castle with Lady Lorris?

Ignoring Hermione's gaze, Annie gently tugged at the neck of the large orange cat in her arms and looked up to ask:

What were you two just talking about?

"You'll find out when you take the class on protecting magical creatures," Hermione said with a mischievous grin.

"The slug is your brother's favorite animal, isn't it, William?"

William felt nauseous again.

But for the sake of the maid outfit, no matter how hard or tiring it is, I have to grit my teeth and persevere!

"Okay." Annie took out her textbook and started doing her homework.

"A divination class?" Hermione asked curiously. "Who's predicted to die this year?"

Third-grade wizards can now select their courses.

As a tradition for each new student, Professor Trelawney would announce the death of a student.

Then, she would use her third eye to "predict" a wave of flu in each grade.

With so many grades, there's bound to be someone who guesses correctly.

Annie opened the book "Seeing the Future Through the Fog" and shook her head, saying, "It wasn't explicitly stated... she vaguely said that the three-way competition would result in the deaths of students."

"..."

Well, this prediction... if we look at past matches, it's not really that far-fetched.

The most recent competition, the championship match of 1792:

A monster with the body of a chicken and the tail of a snake went out of control, rampaging and injuring all three principals, and killing several spectators.

Anne took out a cup and tea leaves, and poured water into the cup.

After finishing your tea, shake the tea leaves three times with your left hand, then turn the teacup upside down and place it on the saucer.

She squinted, observing the shape of the tea leaves.

"Having seen the shape of the Thunderbird, perhaps my Silverwing will come back to me," Anne predicted to herself.

After predicting her own fate, she then helped others predict theirs.

"The sight of the fire dragon indicates that an unexpected event will occur in the Three Kingdoms Tournament."

Hmm... Durmstrang might lose a hundred students... and their principal might get injured too.

"..."

Hogwarts is her own school, and Anne also knows Fleur from Beauxbatons.

These two schools were difficult to rank, so she turned to Durmstrang.

Soon, Anne wrote down a series of startling prophecies.

Judging from the prophecy alone, Durmstrang will likely suffer a complete defeat this time.

"Durmstrang has really had a lot of bad luck," Hermione laughed.

"But I really saw it," Anne said, denying that she was making it up.

"But only adult wizards participate in the Triwizard Tournament. Durmstrang can't possibly bring over a hundred students," Hermione pointed out her mistake.

"Really?" Annie quickly looked down at her prediction. "Then I'll change more than a hundred to a dozen."

"Still saying you didn't make it up?" Hermione grinned.

Ginny chimed in, "Trillauni loves watching this; it's a high-score trick that George and Fred told us."

William leaned closer and glanced at Ginny's prophecy.

Goodness, all the predictions about myself are good.

Regarding prophecies from other people:

On Monday, Ron fell into the water, and Harry found five Galleons;

On Tuesday, Ron's cauldron exploded, and he was put in solitary confinement; Harry received praise from Professor Snape.

On Wednesday, Ron was criticized by McGonagall, while Harry received extra points from Professor McGonagall.

Ah this...

Is Ginny defying fate, absorbing Ron's luck to replenish Harry's?

William grew increasingly terrified as he looked at it.

Luna's predictions are more interesting; she either discovered the Bigmouth Ballfish or caught the Harassing Mantis.

At this point, Hermione and Anne started fighting again.

Anne wrote that Hermione would encounter a dragon and have her hair burned off.

The little girl wanted to run away as soon as she finished writing, but before she could take a step, Hermione, who was fuming, grabbed a ponytail and gently pulled her back to her original position.

Annie frowned and said pitifully, "I'll change it, okay? I'll change it to 'brother'."

William: "..."
