A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 585 Ravenclaw's Welcome

Chapter 585 Ravenclaw's Welcome

Whether it was a thousand Galleons or the immense honor, it all stirred the excitement of all the young wizards.

warrior!

This word permeates the minds of most students.

They all wanted to be warriors, the kind without armor.

"You know, Harry, I might participate!" Ron whispered from across the table.

He was so excited at the thought of potentially receiving such honor and wealth that his face lit up with excitement.

"Of course I thought about it too," Harry mumbled.

He not only thought about it, but went further, falling into a fantasy, with many brilliant images appearing in his mind:

Becoming a champion of Hogwarts… standing on the field, everyone cheering his name… winning the Triwizard Tournament… Cho Chang's lips slowly approached his…

"Who wouldn't want to participate?" Harry muttered.

"Yeah," Ron said, a dazed look on his face, "the winner even gets a thousand Galleons..."

Hermione didn't join their conversation. Instead, she picked up a sandwich and calmly stared at the book "Curses and Curses Breaking" spread out on the table.

"Seriously, Hermione? You can actually stand watching this?" Ron asked skeptically. "Don't you want to participate?"

"There's only one spot available per school."

Hermione didn't even look up, and circled the page about how to form a blood pact.

Hermione's words were like ice water poured over Harry and Ron's heads.

This time, they realized a cruel truth: Hogwarts only has one spot... What qualifications did they have to become champions?

To put it more bluntly, who can snatch the Warriors' spot from William?

I thought it was a random draw, but it turns out it was all pre-arranged.

"William probably wouldn't... be interested in this kind of competition, would he?" Ron muttered under his breath. "That would be too unfair."

After their initial excitement, many students realized this and gradually quieted down, then turned to look at William.

William was busy dealing with chicken rolls and didn't care about this at all.

Then Dumbledore spoke again, raising his hand, and the Great Hall fell silent once more.

"I know you all long to win the Triwizard Tournament trophy for Hogwarts," he said.

"However, the participating schools and the Ministry of Magic agree that an age limit should be set for this year's competitors."

Only students aged seventeen and above are allowed to apply, in order to be considered.

"This isn't fair!"

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, many students protested angrily.

"Why shouldn't we be eligible to participate?" shouted MacLagan of Gryffindor.

"I'm no weaker than many senior wizards!"

Dumbledore shook his head calmly.

"Really? But I think this measure is necessary for you because the competition is very difficult and dangerous."

No matter how many precautions we take, we simply cannot handle students in grades six and seven and below.

"Professor Dumbledore, can't even the Starks handle this?" a student asked directly.

"Mr. Stark is certainly capable of handling things..." Dumbledore explained patiently.

"But unfortunately... the principals of the other two schools unanimously agreed that he was too strong."

If William gets involved, it will disrupt the balance of the game.

One of the conditions on which the two headmasters agreed to hold the Triwizard Tournament was that Mr. Stark would not participate.

This is easy to understand. This project is designed to showcase the abilities of students from various schools.

The most basic point is that the Warriors' strength should be roughly on the same starting line.

The starting lines may differ by four or five meters... but it doesn't matter.

Good grief, you suddenly sent a Usain Bolt to challenge our elementary school amateur group, isn't that bullying?

A hundred schools of thought contending is more interesting than one school of thought standing out.

They were unwilling to do the job of accompanying the crown prince in his studies.

But this is something that can't be said outright; it would be too embarrassing if word got out.

In that case, we should just restrict minors from participating in the competition.

It can also help avoid Granger, who seems equally strong and has a great reputation.

But this argument clearly didn't resonate with the students. They felt it was unfair.

Dumbledore smiled slightly, and when his gaze swept over William, a meaningful glint flashed in his blue eyes.

"I personally guarantee that no student under the age of majority will deceive our impartial judges into becoming a Hogwarts champion."

The principal announced the start of the dinner and then sat down again.

But many people had no appetite and instead discussed the three-way battle in hushed tones.

Even as the banquet ended, the auditorium remained chaotic. Students stood up and surged towards the two double doors, entering the foyer.

As was customary, on the first day of school, William would need to "report" to Dumbledore about his work.

To put it simply, there are some things he's wondering about that he needs the headmaster to answer, or Dumbledore to investigate them personally.

However, he did not go immediately; as a prefect, he had to guide the new students to the Ravenclaw common room.

Back when he enrolled at the school, this job was still held by Prefect Robert.

Then, Robert led everyone to the door of the lounge and listened to his wife's "moaning" for half an hour.

Sadly, the door knocker that Prefect Robert loved most ended up in William's hands, and he still plays with it every night.

Ravenclaw's lounge is located on a high tower on the west side of the castle.

Led by William and Qiu, the freshmen spun around in dizzying circles as they slowly made their way up the stairs.

Finally, they arrived at the door knocker.

Since the door knocker ended up in William's hands, Dumbledore replaced it with a spare, but it could only produce a cold, mechanical sound.

Qiu knocked on the door, and the eagle's beak opened.

It asked:

"What is that?"

It can cry even though it has no mouth.

It can fly even without wings.

Toothless yet capable of piercing.

It has no voice, yet it murmurs.

William addressed the group of young wizards softly, "Unlike other houses, we Ravenclaws do not have hidden entrances to the common rooms."

Our common room door has only one enchanted bronze eagle-shaped knocker.

When you knock on the door, the eagle ring will ask you a question. If you answer correctly, you will be allowed to enter.

"Can anyone answer this?" Qiu looked at the little wizard with encouraging eyes.

Under everyone's gaze, the little girl named Aura Quel'Keefe raised her hand tremblingly and whispered, "Is it the wind?"

"Very good." William nodded, and as soon as he finished speaking, the wooden door was opened.

Autumn continued to introduce the group of young wizards to the famous figures of the academy, as well as the personality traits of the Ravenclaw hawks.

As an entrance ceremony, it is meant to strengthen a student's sense of belonging to Ravenclaw.

"Exceptional wisdom is humanity's greatest treasure," William declared loudly, standing beneath the Ravenclaw statue.

"What is the mission of our college?"

"Creating, disseminating, and protecting knowledge. Collaborating with others... pushing the limits of the world."

As Ravenclaw's successor, go for it! Change the wizarding world, change the future, and don't be afraid to make mistakes!

William poured out a lot of motivational platitudes, which greatly excited the group of young wizards.

Although this excitement can only last a few days, it will soon be crushed by the wicked teachers of each subject.

Especially Professor Snape.

"Finally, welcome to Ravenclaw."

All the young wizards clapped enthusiastically.
