Chapter 57 Ravenclaw Bronze Ring

Chapter 57 Ravenclaw Bronze Ring

Before the dinner ended, the twin brothers sneaked up to the Ravenclaw table.

The two of them had huge panda eyes and kept yawning, clearly looking tired and having stayed up all night.

In their quest to find the killer, the twin brothers spent the entire Christmas night staring at the Marauder's Map and monitoring Snape's medicine pantry.

It's impossible not to be moved by their serious demeanor... Sure enough, their unreliable attitude was all an act; when it really matters, the twin brothers are more reliable than anyone else!

Without saying anything more, William prepared to brew some "life-saving water" for the two of them so they could get a good night's sleep.

The Water of Life and Death is the best sleeping pill, more effective than any melatonin. Of course, this is William's first time trying it, so it's a good opportunity to practice.

George took a notebook out of his robe and handed it to William.

"So many suspects?" William asked in surprise. "They're even using notebooks to take notes, that's incredibly professional..."

He froze before he could finish speaking.

The first page of the notebook reads: Super Mario Walkthrough!

So, the twin brothers weren't being monitored at all; instead, they went to Hogsmeade to play games and complete the game?

Fred asked with a headache, "William, how did you get past level seven?"

"Yeah, Fred and I tried several times but couldn't get over there."

The twin brothers spent their childhood playing with goblins and flying broomsticks; they had never played video games as fun as those Muggle games.

In just one Christmas holiday, they have become addicted to video games and even secretly went to Muggle houses to recharge!

"It's not that we weren't monitoring, it's that nobody went to Snape's medicine pantry," George said.

"Including us, there aren't many students in this school. They're all staying in their own college's common room," Fred yawned.

George continued, "We initially suspected Professor Tywin, but he left the school on his first day."

A few days later, Professor Snape returned, treating us like murderers and constantly finding excuses to harass us. Of course, we had to hide at Hogsmeade.

As he spoke, George handed William a large pile of snacks he had bought from Hogsmeade.

William picked up a small bag of peppercorns and said, "Never mind, we're bored anyway, let's just ignore it."

"We still need to keep an eye on them," Fred said seriously. "So that next time they cause trouble, we can help them out."

"..."

After the dinner, William and Cho followed the rest of the Ravenclaws to the Ravenclaw Tower along their usual route.

Everyone was making a lot of noise and seemed to be having a great time.

But when they reached the wooden door, they found the corridor crowded with people.

"Why isn't anyone going in?" Marietta asked curiously.

William looked over the crowd and saw that the wooden door seemed to be closed.

"Please let me through," Prefect Robert's voice rang out as he quickly stepped out from the crowd.

"Why are you blocking the way? Answer the question quickly, I'm waiting to hear the door knocker—"

The crowd quieted down, starting from the front, so it was like a cold front spreading through the corridor.

In the silence, a deafening, heart-wrenching scream suddenly rang out, so poignant that it inexplicably sent a chill down William's spine.

The crowd dispersed, and Robert was seen slumped against the wooden door, his back pressed against the wall, his toes digging into the ground as he tried to stand up, but he only managed to stand halfway before falling back down.

Next to Robert, there was a hole about the thickness of an arm.

—Eagle-shaped bronze door knocker

lost!

"Oh my God—" Marietta exclaimed, grabbing William's arm tightly.

William felt a sharp pain again. During the holiday, Marietta's arm strength had increased. It was a pity she wasn't a batter.

"Go and fetch Professor Dumbledore, quick!" someone shouted.

After a while, Professor Dumbledore arrived and hurried toward the wooden door; the Ravenclaw students crowded together to let him through.

Dumbledore glanced quickly at the damaged wooden door, then took out his wand and tapped the door.

A row of red letters slowly appeared, turning into a sentence: Ravenclaw Bronze Ring, I've taken it!

"Professor Flitwick, please go to Filch immediately and tell him to seal off the entire castle," Dumbledore said sternly.

"That person has already escaped!" a hoarse voice suddenly said.

Peeves hopped around on the heads of the crowd, looking quite pleased with himself, as he always did when he saw scenes of destruction and sorrow.

"What do you mean by this, Peeves?" Dumbledore asked calmly.

Peeves' smile faded slightly, and he avoided looking directly into Dumbledore's sharp blue eyes.

He switched to a slick tone, which sounded better than his hoarse voice.

"Excuse me, Principal, just over ten minutes ago, I saw a figure rushing past from this side."

He caught sight of me, smiled at me, and even spoke to me.

Mischievous Ghost was overjoyed.

"Oh, what did he say?" Dumbledore asked quietly.

"Let me think... Oh, I remember now!" Pee Pee smirked, glancing maliciously at all the little wizards, and lowered his voice again.

The man laughed and said, "I am a Death Eater, and I will use Ravenclaw's ring to resurrect the Dark Lord."

Screams erupted from the crowd, and the young wizards began to scramble together.

"Quiet!"

Dumbledore's voice seemed to possess a magical power, and the noise gradually faded away.

Dumbledore glanced at the text, a flash of anger in his eyes, but he calmly asked, "Peeves, did you get a good look at what that person looked like?"

"Yes, I see clearly." Peeves glanced fearfully at Dumbledore. "I see clearly, he looks exactly like Professor Snape!"

Suddenly, Pikachu did a somersault in the air and flew quickly into the sky.

The surroundings were deathly silent.

That's impossible! Professor Snape has been sitting in the guest of honor seat tonight, and hasn't left his seat at all!

Not only him, but all the professors William knew were sitting in the main seat and didn't leave for a moment.

Professor Dumbledore thought for a moment, then called all the Ravenclaw students back to the Great Hall.

Ten minutes later, students from Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and other houses arrived, all looking completely bewildered.

"The faculty and I will conduct a thorough search of the castle," Professor Dumbledore said solemnly.

"You may all sleep in the auditorium tonight."

At this moment, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick closed all the doors of the auditorium.

"For your own safety, I think you may have to spend the night here."

I instructed the prefects to stand guard at the entrance to the auditorium, and the male and female student council presidents to remain inside to manage the situation. Report any incidents to me immediately.

Professor Dumbledore paused, about to leave the Great Hall, then added, "Oh, by the way, you'll need..."

With a casual wave of his wand, the long tables flew to the edge of the Great Hall; with another wave, the ground was covered with hundreds of purple sleeping bags.

"Sleep well," said Professor Dumbledore, closing the door behind him as he left.
