A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 52 Prank System

Chapter 52 Prank System (Third Update)

The four of them stood at the library entrance, surrounded by people coming and going.

After rubbing his ears, George maliciously speculated, "She didn't do it because I wrinkled her book, but because I talked badly about Filch!"

All four of them wore lewd, wicked smiles.

There are rumors that Mrs. Pince and Filch have an unusual relationship.

Fred suggested, "We can't stay in the library. How about we go to the Gryffindor common room to study the Marauder's Map?"

The four of them are still making Hogwarts maps, preparing to sell them.

The group had intended to copy the Marauder's Map, but it turned out to be much more difficult than they had imagined, certainly beyond their age.

As for the Hogwarts Castle layout that Dumbledore had suggested, William also went to the library to see it.

The set of books was divided into seven volumes, each containing several thousand pages.

William suspected that Dumbledore introduced the books simply to give him some entertainment so he wouldn't have time to break school rules.

But is that something people can use for amusement?

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event.

William has no intention of studying architecture and civil engineering... His major in college in his previous life was civil engineering.

Advising someone to do civil engineering is like being struck by lightning.

Cedric glanced around and whispered, "We can go to the Room of Requirement and check on Lou Williams while we're at it; nobody's there."

William nodded.

"Wait a minute..." The twin brothers looked completely bewildered. "The Room of Requirement? What's that?"

Standing opposite the tapestry depicting the giant stick beating Barnabas on the eighth floor of the castle, William wandered around three times before a very smooth door appeared on the wall.

After they went inside, the interior had completely changed.

To be precise, this place was really turned into a junkyard by Lu Wei, and many items were torn to pieces.

Fred looked around the house, puzzled. "That's strange," he said. "We hid here from Filch, George, do you remember?"

"Yes, it was just a broom cabinet back then..."

The two quickly became excited; discovering the secrets of Hogwarts was their greatest pleasure.

George and Fred's attention was drawn to Lou Williams.

George paced around excitedly for a few moments, then complained, "You guys actually kept a three-headed dog here without telling us?"

"No, these are Hagrid's pets."

William recounted what had happened the previous night.

"Charlie knew about this place and didn't tell us! We're his own brothers!" Fred complained loudly.

"So, when you were in Luway last night, you didn't see who attacked Snape's medicine pantry?" George sat on a cabinet, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Could it be Professor Tywin? You saw him sneaking downstairs when you were going upstairs..."

Fred continued, "Indeed, don't forget, William also witnessed Professor Tywin and Snape clashing at the hospital!"

"But we have no evidence, and..." Cedric shrugged.

"Professor Tywin had no reason to attack Professor Snape's medicine pantry. If it was just simple revenge, it doesn't seem like something a professor would do; it's more like..."

His gaze fell on George and Fred.

Fred casually threw the doll Hagrid had made for Lou Williams at Cedric, but the latter caught it with a laugh.

Cedric touched something wet, and when he looked down, he saw a large puddle of unidentified liquid on the chest of the nearly torn doll.

Cedric quickly threw it away and reached out to wipe it off William's robe, but William swiftly dodged it.

The group burst into laughter.

Cedric, with a pained expression, had no choice but to grip his wand and use "Clear Spring" to wash his arm.

As Cedric washed himself, he said, "I think that since that person attacked once, he might attack a second time, as long as..."

"As long as we crack the Marauder's Map's secret code and keep an eye on that hut, we can catch him!" George pulled the tattered parchment from his robe.

Just then, a cry of surprise rang out.

Fred was teasing Louie with dried fish when Louie's middle head bit his right hand.

Fred fell to the ground, and Louie pounced on him, tearing at him.

He cried out for help, "Quick, someone please help me! How can I get this guy to talk?"

William shouted, "Music! Louis loves music; he falls asleep when he hears music!"

Fred immediately started whistling.

The three dog heads simultaneously released their grip, tilting their heads and staring at Fred's lips with suspicion, as if they were looking at two greasy sausages.

Fulve is an unusual three-headed dog who loves music, much like Dumbledore.

Its weakness is music; it falls into a deep sleep whenever it hears beautiful music.

But among all kinds of music, whistling is an exception. Louie is particularly sensitive to whistling; it not only doesn't sleep, but it also gets especially excited.

Lou Williams rushed forward, and the three dog heads began licking him like madmen.

Fred was forcibly kissed by the three-headed dog.

It took them a long time to separate the two sides. Fred spat a few times, covered his mouth, and remained silent; his lips had turned into sausage lips.

"Alright," George said, suppressing a smile, "let's get back to studying our map."

The four men stared at the map, their expressions inscrutable.

This map is both loved and hated.

It can display a map of Hogwarts and provide real-time information on the status of each staircase. Most importantly, it accurately pinpoints the location of everyone, including Dumbledore.

It's practically the ultimate weapon for nighttime outings.

William planned to use this magical map to create a simplified version and sell it to other young wizards.

The problem is that the map wasn't completely cracked by the four people; it requires a secret code to be used properly.

Simply put, this map contains a secret code. Before you learn the code and fully unlock it, you are just an ordinary player.

Want to use the map? Easy! Besides praising the four people who created the map, you also need to complete a large number of commands to publish the map!

Even if the prank is successful, the map's usage time is limited. Initially, it had 24 hours, but with increased usage, it now only lasts for one hour at a time.

This is also a major reason why the twin brothers haven't been going out at night recently.

To put it simply, without cracking the secret code, you're just playing on the test server and can't fully control the map. To use the map, you have to keep performing pranks!

It's not entirely impossible to obtain the secret code. The simplest and easiest way is to complete thousands of pranks according to the map's requirements. The map will then display the secret code, allowing you to become a genuine player.

So this is a prank system that constantly tempts you to break school rules, which is also the perverse sense of humor of the person who created the map.

"I've learned a new method that might work," William said.

"The secret command has appeared!" He held his wand and gently touched the map.

This is a spell I overheard from Professor Flitwick, and the dean swore it would work!

But nothing happened.

A moment later, as if an invisible hand were writing on the parchment, words appeared on the smooth surface of the map.

Mr. Moonface greeted Professor Flitwick and told Mr. Stark not to bother anymore, as they had thought of every spell the other could think of.

William gave an awkward laugh.

But the map wasn't finished; new text appeared below the first paragraph.

Mr. Fork agreed with Mr. Moonface and added that he admired Mr. Stark, but because of his failed challenge, his map usage time would be reduced by five minutes next time.

"..."

But there's more below... Mr. Bigfoot expressed surprise: Mr. Weasley, you've been playing fewer pranks lately, have you encountered some difficulties? I can make up for these five minutes.

Mr. Wormtail greeted Mr. Diggory, saying that good children shouldn't associate with such bad children, good boy.

The writing disappeared very quickly.
