A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 514 Stonehenge... Flying In!
Chapter 514 Stonehenge... Flying In!
The Grand Canal in Venice is turbulent, with the water suddenly rising several meters high, like giant waves.
Wizards from the Italian Ministry of Magic are organizing Muggles to board a magical ship and escape from the city that is about to be submerged.
But almost everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up into the distance.
From the direction of St. Mark's Square, a series of loud banging sounds could be heard.
The sound grew louder and louder, and a moment later, a deafening roar pierced the eardrums.
The underground lagoon gushed out, creating towering waves; the scene looked like over two thousand tons of ammonium nitrate exploding all at once!
A mushroom cloud lit up, followed by a white figure piercing the sky.
A hundred-meter-long white dragon suddenly appeared, landing on the top of St. Mark's Basilica. With a gentle scratch of its giant steel claws, sparks flew everywhere.
The famous dome, known as the "Snow White Cake," collapsed instantly under the weight of the white dragon, filling the air with smoke.
The white dragon was so excited that it stretched its neck and roared at the sky, its voice echoing across the land.
Countless wizards covered their ears, staring in horror at the suddenly appearing monster, trembling all over.
Their wands were so frightened that they fell to the ground.
You must be kidding me!
Even a normal fire dragon is not something an ordinary wizard can handle! This behemoth in front of you... did you grow up eating fertilizer?
Yes, it must be a dream!
"Everyone hold your ground!!" Minister of Magic He Wen shouted.
But seeing this scene, who could remain calm?!
Many wizards immediately appeared in phantom form and fled without even looking back.
Many more wizards stayed behind, not because they didn't want to run away or insist on helping Muggles... but because they couldn't Apparate!
Bai Long looked down, a mocking glint in his eyes.
Ignoring the tiny insects, it spread its enormous wings, took a few steps with its claws over the ravaged square, and flew low along the river.
Its goal is... the Holy Grail!!
Only by destroying the magical artifact left behind by Merlin can it truly gain freedom.
Instead of being forever bound to the cup!
It once fought a red dragon underground for a hundred years, nearly destroying Britain.
Merlin then used his most powerful magic to bind them both inside the Holy Grail, so that they could never escape.
Seven hundred years ago, a group of dark wizards secretly studied the Holy Grail, hoping to borrow its power.
Taking advantage of the situation, the white dragon bewitched the wizards, disrupted some of the magic, and escaped. Upon hearing that Merlin was gone, he became so excited that he flooded Sardinia.
But then... it was once again bound underwater in Venice by the power of the Holy Grail.
It had had enough of this life and only wanted to destroy the Holy Grail.
The white dragon could sense the wine glass nearby, but couldn't pinpoint its exact location; it had to search for it itself.
The long wings billowed a strong wind, the river water rippled, and the giant waves surged even more.
The white dragon rampaged across the city, causing stones to fall and land in the canal, creating a series of deafening booms.
"Loud voice!" Minister He Wen pointed his wand at the throat.
He shouted, "All Aurors, follow me and drive this white dragon out of Venice!!"
Dozens of Aurors appeared, following the minister in pursuit of the White Dragon.
The crowd raised their wands, and a chaotic barrage of spells rushed toward the white dragon, landing on its thick scales.
Sparks flew everywhere!
The white dragon was unharmed. It opened its ferocious maw, and a jet of water as thick as a waterfall swept out.
The Aurors materialized and scattered in all directions.
With a flick of its tail, the white dragon leveled tall buildings. It swooped down again and again, and houses collapsed one after another.
The whole of Venice was engulfed by a tsunami.
Enjoy, humans!
Excited, wizard!
Just as the white dragon was about to completely submerge the city, it suddenly looked up and gazed toward St. Mark's Square.
It caught the scent of the red dragon.
That unique, pungent smell... even if you were dead, you wouldn't mistake it.
Bai Long sniffed hard and couldn't help but shiver.
That's fucking awesome!
It escaped the Holy Grail back then, but the red dragon did not, and has always been bound within it.
Where the red dragon is, that is where the Holy Grail resides!
The white dragon spread its wings and soared into the distance.
……
……
The Grand Canal in St. Mark's Square.
Several magical ships floated on the water; the ships were dark and had long masts.
Venice boasts some of the world's finest large magical ships, capable of carrying many people.
At this moment, many Muggles were standing on it, discussing the monster in fear.
The old imam stood in the crowd, boasting about his piety, claiming that God had sent him Noah's Ark.
He also claimed that God would send Death to subdue the monster.
Before the old imam could finish speaking, every single Muggle on the boat screamed at the same time.
The boats, large and small, beneath their feet began to move uncontrollably and rapidly backward, like arrows.
Soon it was noticed that the water level was dropping, and the water in the Grand Canal seemed to be suddenly being drained away.
A blue-white flame shot into the sky from underwater.
A man and a woman, each holding a wine glass, slowly emerge.
Both of them were radiating large amounts of blue and white light, which caused the wind and rain around them to evaporate in an instant!
All the Muggles and wizards stared at them. Many wizards recognized the two.
Stark and Granger are very famous, but many Italian wizards had never seen their photos before yesterday.
With Secretary General Martell's arrest warrant, the vast majority of Ministry of Magic officials became acquainted with the two men.
At least when you meet the real person, you can recognize them.
William and Hermione's entrance was quite bizarre, but the wizards didn't have time to speak before turning their heads away again.
A roar came from afar.
A white line could be seen moving from east to west across the misty water.
A white rainbow arches across the river, and the waves rise higher and higher as the river advances.
The white dragon went away and then returned!
It surged forward rapidly, its body leaving a straight line, and its body stirred up huge waves, causing wind and rain to ripple outwards.
Upon arriving near St. Mark's Square, the waves had already reached seven or eight meters high, covering the sky and the earth.
All the wizards and Muggles were plunged into despair; to think they could survive such a massive attack was simply a pipe dream!
We can only hope for a miracle!
Just then, William put his arm around Hermione's waist and Apparated her.
They didn't leave; instead, they appeared on the Bridge of Sighs.
With the height of the waves, the Bridge of Sighs would surely be washed away, and the two men would certainly die.
Are you crazy?!
Many people covered their mouths, staring in shock at the two people at the very front.
William held the Goblet of Fire in his left hand, and a tremendous amount of magical power poured into his body from the Holy Grail.
The Holy Grail seemed to be a mana replenishment tool, giving him a continuous source of magic.
At that moment, William felt incredibly powerful, capable of anything!
The last time I had this feeling was in Gringotts, when I received a blessing from Phoenix Fox.
William knew where this power came from.
Within the Holy Grail, another red dragon is also bound.
Merlin left behind a spell that could temporarily channel the red dragon's magic into his body through the Holy Grail.
William and Hermione's task was simple: to trap the white dragon back into the Goblet of Fire!
William pointed his wand forward slightly and whispered, "Wildfire!"
The Goblet of Fire spewed out a large amount of blue and white flames, which, under William's control, transformed into a giant fire dragon.
The fire dragon was incredibly powerful, rushing forward swiftly along the river and colliding with the giant waves.
The waves did not engulf the fire dragon; instead, upon contact, they evaporated into wisps of white, hazy mist.
Whether wizards or Muggles, everyone was captivated.
Everyone pinned their hopes on William and Hermione.
Hermione held up the Holy Grail, muttering incantations as if she were singing.
As she sang, the clouds gathered in mid-air into a vortex, and in the middle of the vortex, there was a blue-white light that met the sky.
William held up the other corner of the Goblet of Fire, pointed his wand at the sky, and shouted:
"Stonehenge... coming!"
Everyone looked up. In the sky, giant rocks rained down like locusts, as if… meteorites were falling from the sky!
