Chapter 50 Nighttime Attack (First Update on New Year's Day)

As midnight drew ever closer, they carried Louie up the marble steps of the foyer, down the pitch-black corridor, up one floor, then another.

"Don't move!" William suddenly said.

Bobocha twitched his airplane ears, signaling to William that there were people in the distance.

Professor Tywin, dressed in plaid pajamas and carrying his wand, cautiously made his way downstairs.

"Are there other students out at night besides us?" Cedric asked in surprise.

While the group was talking, the professors had already hurried down to the first floor.

Professor McGonagall, dressed in a floral nightgown embroidered with a golden lion, held her wand and called out loudly, "Who's there?!"

"This is bad. Someone attacked Snape's professor's medicine vault. I heard the noise and came down here," Professor Tywin said.

"Have you found out who did it?" Professor McGonagall bent down to examine the debris on the ground.

"I'm not sure. They were running very fast. Maybe they were students out at night, trying to cause trouble while Professor Snape wasn't around."

Professor McGonagall was furious. She roared, "This is outrageous! Don't let me catch you!"

Filch strode over carrying an oil lamp, followed by Mrs. Lorris.

He looked around and concluded, "It must be the Weasley brothers. Someone deliberately lured me away; it must be them!"

Professor McGonagall's expression turned grim. In an extremely serious voice, she said, "Do not slander my students without concrete evidence."

Filch's face flushed red, and he snorted, "If I catch who did it, I'll definitely throw them into the Forbidden Forest."

He glanced through the smoke at the medicine storage room, a hint of schadenfreude in his eyes.

These are all Professor Snape's most beloved treasures, and no one is allowed to enter them normally, including Headmaster Dumbledore.

Now our base has been raided.
