A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 5 Come on, let's rob a bank!
Hagrid looks like a regular at bars.
As soon as the three entered, the chattering suddenly stopped, and everyone smiled and waved at Hagrid.
The old ladies sitting in the corner of the room, drinking sherry from small cups, were especially enthusiastic towards Hagrid.
One of them even handed Hagrid his long pipe, trying to get him to have a puff too.
Hagrid was entangled for quite some time before he was able to break free.
That's amazing! I never knew Hagrid was a friend of middle-aged and elderly women!
The bar owner, who looked like a shriveled walnut, picked up a glass, wiped it, and asked, "Hagrid, would you like another drink?"
"No, Tom, I'm on business at Hogwarts right now, I can't drink."
Hagrid refused with a serious expression, as if anyone who hindered his work was his enemy.
But a man in a top hat standing nearby, squinting his cloudy eyes, asked doubtfully, "Really? But I saw you when I came this morning..."
"Ahem... I'm taking William to Diagon Alley now, goodbye everyone," Hagrid hurriedly interrupted.
But as he was leaving, he glanced at his boss, Tom, and asked, "Hasn't that old Greek man returned yet?"
Tom shrugged and said, "He hasn't shown up since we had drinks this morning."
Hagrid was somewhat disappointed.
Passing through the bar, Hagrid led the two to a small courtyard surrounded by walls. There was nothing there except a trash can and some weeds.
Roy stopped and couldn't help but ask, "Hagrid, you said you were held up by something this morning, so you were just drinking here?"
Hagrid scratched his beard and said dryly, "Dear Roy, I can explain!"
He cleared his throat and said, "Look, I've come all the way from Hogwarts to London, so it's not unreasonable for me to sit here and rest for a few minutes, is it?"
Roy nodded: "That makes perfect sense."
Hagrid continued, "This is a bar, I can't just sit here, I have to support Tom's business, so buying a few eggnogs to soothe my throat isn't too much to ask, is it?"
Roy, chin in hand, said, "Well-reasoned and supported by evidence."
"So, you drank too much?" William interjected.
"No," Hagrid stammered for a moment, glanced around, and whispered, "I was about to leave when I ran into a Greek."
The Greek man was chatting with me and said he had a three-headed dog, but the dog ate too much and he couldn't afford to keep it.
William, you have no idea how rare and adorable a three-headed dog is.
I can't just stand by and watch these furry little creatures wander the streets and get sent to the Department of Magical Creatures Control...
Hagrid lowered his head, like a child who had made a mistake.
"Okay, we won't tell anyone," Roy reassured him.
Hagrid laughed and said, "Thank you so much, Roy, you're truly my best Muggle friend."
"Don't worry about William, leave him to me. No one at Hogwarts will dare bully him!"
Hagrid patted Roy on the shoulder with his huge hand, almost knocking him over.
"Hagrid, is Cerberus really that cute?" William couldn't help but ask.
"So cute!"
With a "whoosh," an orange cat's head peeked out from William's backpack. Bobocha glanced at Hagrid with a puzzled look; it seemed like it had just heard someone compliment it on its good looks.
"You and that little guy will become good friends." Hagrid chuckled twice and patted Boba's head.
Bobo Tea meowed and then burrowed its head back inside.
At that moment, William inexplicably pictured the dog heads of the three Siberian Huskies.
He started imagining a three-headed dog with the heads of a Samoyed, a Husky, and an Alaskan Malamute... that would definitely be adorable!
Hagrid counted the bricks on top of the trash can, having to bend over and stick his butt out because he was so tall.
"Count three pieces up—then two pieces across—" he muttered softly. "Alright, stand back."
He tapped the wall three times gently with the end of the umbrella.
The brick he had knocked on began to shake and move, revealing a small hole in the middle.
The opening grew larger and larger, and soon a wide archway appeared before them, large enough for Hagrid to pass through, leading to a winding, seemingly endless cobblestone street.
"Welcome!" Hagrid announced loudly, opening his arms wide. "Welcome to Diagon Alley!"
They walked along the archway, the bright sunlight shining on a stack of pots outside the nearest shop.
Above the pot hangs a sign indicating that it is a large pot made of copper, brass, tin-plated silver, and available in various sizes. It features automatic stirring and is foldable.
"Oh, William, you need to buy one," Hagrid glanced at the sky, "but the sun is about to set, we need to get the money first."
They arrived at a snow-white building that stood tall above the surrounding shops. Beside the gleaming bronze doors stood a figure in a scarlet and gold-trimmed uniform—a dark-skinned man with an intelligent look and a pointed beard.
"This is the fairy I told you about," Hagrid whispered as they walked up the white stone steps toward the man.
Roy's professional instincts kicked in again; he couldn't help but stare at the fairy's smiling, wide-open mouth, as if he wanted to check the health of his teeth.
William felt that he could no longer allow his family to come to Diagon Alley alone.
Roy is alright; at most, he'll just glance at other people's teeth. But his mother, Lyanna, would probably pull out a scalpel from her pocket on the spot to dissect them and see the differences between species.
As for Annie, she will most likely treat the fairy as a pet and ask to buy it back.
Good heavens, what a bizarre family this is! William suddenly realized that he was the only normal person there!
He didn't have many strange thoughts; at most, he only considered robbery.
William stood before the second gate of Gringotts, his figure half bathed in sunlight and half shrouded in shadow.
On the two doors before him were engraved the following words: Please enter, stranger, but beware of the consequences of greed. Those who take without working will be severely punished. Therefore, if you wish to take a fortune from our underground vault that has never belonged to you, thief, you have been warned. Beware that what you will gain is not treasure, but retribution.
For some reason, at that moment, looking at those lines of text, William really had the idea of robbing Gringotts.
Well, in his past life, he would have had the same impulse when he saw those armored trucks.
However, the soldiers, armed to the teeth, always managed to extinguish his desires in the shortest amount of time.
Surely there can't be that much defense here?
William looked up at Hagrid and asked in a low voice, "Hagrid, is the defense here strong?"
Hagrid nodded: "Of course it's strong. This is the safest place in the wizarding world besides Hogwarts."
"How so?" William raised an eyebrow.
Hagrid bent down and, in a tone of intense passion William had never heard before, said mysteriously, "Down there... there's a dragon!"
"dragon?"
Hagrid's eyes gleamed as he said enviously, "Yes, I really want to have one. I'd give anything for it!"
Hagrid then said dejectedly, "But twenty years after the enactment of the International Secrecy Act, in order to promote this act, the Wizarding Council officially passed a law banning the keeping of dragons."
He gritted his teeth and said, "I dare say this is the stupidest decision the International Federation of Wizards has ever made!"
Hagrid's description gave William the most vivid picture.
Most importantly, the image of Daenerys Targaryen's great black dragon, Drogon, popped into his mind... If the magical world also had dragons of this caliber, he didn't think he had any chance of robbing them.
Well, William's desire was extinguished once again, this time by Hagrid's scattered spittle.
