A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 429 The Demon King's Failed Plastic Surgery Leads to Rejection in Job Application

Chapter 429 The Demon King's Failed Plastic Surgery Leads to Rejection in Job Application (Third Update!)

After being manipulated by Tom, Harry Potter turned to the dark side, joined the Death Eaters, and became his little spy.

It sounds exciting, but it's basically impossible.

Dumbledore, in particular, kept his gaze fixed on Harry.

Let alone turning evil, even if they go astray a little, the principal will forcibly straighten them out.

The light of righteousness shines upon Harry!

Since it wasn't Harry, William really couldn't figure out who it was.

This mole is very well hidden.

Could it be that Ron's little mouse, Scabbers... has become a spirit?

Since we can't figure it out, let's leave the matter of the mole here.

William said softly, "Professor, I have something else very important that I want to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Horregularities!"

"What?" Dumbledore looked at William in confusion.

"Hermione and I found one of Voldemort's Horcruxes in the Room of Requirement."

Dumbledore's confusion turned into surprise.

William pulled out the rusty crown.

Dumbledore stared at the crown, stunned, as if in disbelief. His expression was as if he had heard that his breakfast had been canceled.

After a long while, Dumbledore couldn't help but shake his head, a childlike smile spreading across his face.

"William, this is...exciting news! This is fantastic! This is the best news I've heard in a while!"

You've given me such a wonderful surprise, and I'm willing to give you and Hermione half of the gold in my vault as a token of my gratitude.

Of course, neither of you would want it.

Do not,

William is willing to take it!

He was also certain that

Hermione was willing too.

Dumbledore did not touch the crown immediately, but stood up.

"I'm so curious, how did you and Hermione manage that? I can't wait to experience such a great adventure!"

William's wand dangled at his temple, evoking a milky white memory.

Dumbledore walked to a cabinet and took out the Pensieve from inside.

William placed his memories into the Pensieve.

The two bent down and entered.

Half an hour later, I returned to the principal's office.

"I've been waiting for this evidence for a long time," Dumbledore said softly after sitting down. "It confirms some of our suspicions."

"Voldemort made more than one Horcrux," William said.

"That's right." Dumbledore nodded. "We still have a long road ahead of us..."

"When did Voldemort put this Horcrux into the Room of Requirement?" William asked, puzzled.

"Judging from his appearance, he's already disfigured. He'll definitely be gone after graduation."

Dumbledore thought for a moment and said, "He only came back once after he graduated... the time he came to apply to me for the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."

"Voldemort wants to apply for the Defense Against the Dark Arts position?" William was genuinely astonished.

It felt like the Führer initially just wanted to be a painter. Except he was a poor student and got rejected.

"Yes," Dumbledore nodded. "Very few people know about this."

In fact, the year Tom graduated, he approached the former headmaster…Professor Deppet, asking if he could stay and teach at Hogwarts.

Why did he want to stay and become a professor?

"That involves Tom's childhood, which we'll discuss later."

Simply put, as an orphan, he had a deep affection for this school, like it was his home.

William nodded slightly, remembering something else.

After the Chamber of Secrets incident fifty years ago, the school was to be closed, and Tom immediately found Hagrid to be the scapegoat to prevent the school from being closed.

From this perspective, he does indeed have a special affection for Hogwarts.

"This castle is also an ancient stronghold of magic, containing countless secrets and items left behind by the four great powers."

"He wants to continue digging for Hogwarts' treasures," Dumbledore continued.

"The most crucial point is that by becoming a teacher, he can attract young wizards, recruit more members, and expand his Death Eater army," Dumbledore recalled.

It seems Tom firmly believes that Death Eaters should be recruited from childhood!

Only by solidly strengthening the foundation of the team and staying close to the students can we maintain the progressiveness and purity of our subordinates from the bottom up.

He's a real talent!

"With Tom's grades and abilities, he should be more than qualified to stay and teach, right?" William asked softly.

"Yes, but I advise Professor Dippet not to apply for the job," said Professor Dumbledore.

Professor Dippet doesn't doubt Tom; in fact, he likes him very much. But he also thinks Tom is too young at only eighteen and welcomes him to apply again in two years.

Will he come back in two years?

"No. Tom applied for the position again... ten years later," Dumbledore sighed.

The headmaster's wand touched the Pensieve, stirring it continuously, and new memories appeared within.

William followed Dumbledore into the flowing silver substance and returned to the headmaster's office.

This should be Dumbledore's memory.

Fox was fast asleep on the perch. Behind the desk sat Dumbledore, whose face had slightly fewer wrinkles.

It was snowing outside. Pale blue snowflakes drifted past the window in the darkness and piled up on the windowsill.

Voldemort was sitting in a chair with a drink in front of him.

But he didn't move at all.

Voldemort is no longer handsome at all.

His face seemed burned, his features blurred, like wax, strangely distorted. The whites of his eyes also seemed permanently bloodshot.

After a standoff, Dumbledore and Voldemort...

The principal sat up straight, his fingertips touching, and said sternly:

"...Let's talk this out. Why did you bring your men here tonight to apply for a job that we both know you don't want?"

Voldemort showed a cold surprise.

"A job I don't want? Quite the opposite, Dumbledore, I want it very much."

"Oh, you want to go back to Hogwarts, but you don't actually want to teach any more than you did when you were eighteen. What do you really want, Tom? Why can't you just be honest for once?"

Voldemort sneered.

"If you don't want to give me a job—"

"Of course I don't want to," Dumbledore said, "and I don't think you expected me to give it to you. But you still came and made the application; you must have something on your mind."

Voldemort stood up, his face full of rage.

"Is this your final decision?"

"Yes," Dumbledore stood up as well. "I refuse your request."

"Then we have nothing to talk about."

"No," said Dumbledore, a deep sorrow on his face. "The time to frighten you with a burning wardrobe and force you to atone is long gone. But I hope, Tom... I hope..."

Voldemort merely smiled dismissively and left the room.

William was deeply moved as he looked at Dumbledore's memory.

Unsurprisingly, the Demon King, whose plastic surgery went wrong, was rejected from his job search.

This tells us one thing: appearance is extremely important in one's career.

Even if you're talented, it won't work if you look like an ugly monster.

Also, don't speak too aggressively to your boss.

If someone offers you a drink and you don't drink it, isn't that disrespectful?

Still want to work?

Want to eat peaches.

Of course,

It was this rejection that brought Voldemort, who had been beaten down by society, to his senses.

He resolutely led his younger brother to start their own business, creating the renowned "Death Eaters" company.

Just as the Death Eaters were at their peak, about to go public and expand beyond the British Isles... the Dark Lord died before his entrepreneurial journey was even halfway complete.

It's truly a pity.
