A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 427 Professor McGonagall's Perverse Interest

Chapter 427 Professor McGonagall's Perverse Interest

early morning,

William and Hermione finished breakfast before leaving the safety gate and then the ruined Room of Requirement.

The corridor was very quiet; the students were still sleeping in the auditorium.

The Room of Requirement is on the eighth floor, as is the Gryffindor common room.

The two then headed straight for the Gryffindor common room along the corridor.

Before he even got close, William could smell a stench so strong it was almost lethal.

He quickly cast the Bubble Head Charm, turning himself and Hermione into two little Celestial Dragons.

The fat lady has disappeared, and the damage to the portrait is more severe than William had imagined.

Small pieces of canvas were scattered all over the ground, and large pieces of canvas were completely torn from their frames.

The door was opened by someone, and the two of them crawled inside through the passage.

Professor McGonagall stood alone in the lounge, a large fish tank balancing on her head, inspecting the damage to the armor guards she had made.

Fortunately, she had placed some guards here to ensure the safety of the lounge.

It seems we need to increase the budget, temporarily cut or reduce the expenses of other professors, and invest the money in our small workshop to produce another batch of "figurines".

This is absolutely not to satisfy personal preferences, but to ensure student safety.

Who agrees, and who disagrees?

After this incident, I imagine no one would object to her in person, right?

Hearing a noise at the door, Professor McGonagall turned around and exclaimed in surprise:

"Oh! Mr. Stark, Miss Granger... where did you two go last night?!"

"Professor Dumbledore assigned us a task to complete," William explained vaguely.

"What kind of task requires you two little wizards to do, and it takes all night?" Professor McGonagall said angrily.

"Black is probably still in or near the castle. It's so dangerous. Professor Dumbledore is really... old... um, senile!"

This didn't sound like something Professor McGonagall would say. She seemed to be channeling Mrs. Pomfrey, radiating the authority of a head nurse.

To this day, Madam Pomfrey remains the only witch who has spoken out against the headmaster on multiple occasions.

In her opinion, schools shouldn't offer so many dangerous courses; they should just teach one medical care course.

One of her small goals was to transform the Death Eaters into an army of white-clad angels. The mysterious head nurse was...

The mysterious head nurse can probably only teach people about cosmetic surgery and longevity.

However, it is well known that experts who teach longevity usually die young.

There's a reason why Professor McGonagall transformed into Pomfrey... after all, William had done too many dangerous things.

In their first year, they captured Tywin Lannister, a Death Eater, in the Defense Against the Dark Arts office.

She mistakenly believed that Dumbledore had sent the two of them to hunt down Black.

How could William and Hermione possibly do something so dangerous?

They captured some Dementors and, incidentally... dealt with Voldemort's Horcruxes.

Compared to this, doesn't it make you feel much more at ease?

Actually, William dealt with the Horcruxes before 10 p.m. last night.

Afterwards, I had a video call with Nicole, who was in the United States, via Phoenix Book.

Nico was participating in a large-scale parade on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., experiencing American daily life and customs.

He also asked William if he wanted to buy these items for him; they were all genuine luxury goods, but there were no invoices.

The two discussed the Ravenclaw crown for a while, and he said he would return to England as soon as possible.

After the conversation, William realized it was almost eleven o'clock, so he didn't return to the auditorium.

Why go back to the auditorium... to squeeze into sleeping bags with so many students?

Wouldn't a House of Requirement and a safety meter be better?

He and Hermione simply didn't leave.

"The headmaster is looking for you, and all the patrolling professors are searching for you too," Professor McGonagall said worriedly. "Are you two really alright?"

"Yes, really, everything's alright, Professor," William asked hurriedly. "Is Professor Dumbledore in his office right now?"

"Yes, I am," Professor McGonagall said. "But Minister Fudge is here too; he's been here for a while."

William nodded, and he and Hermione helped Professor McGonagall examine the damaged armor "figure".

Luckily, Professor McGonagall isn't from China, otherwise she would have to replicate a whole bunch of terracotta warriors!

It seems that McGonagall, like Qin Shi Huang, is a figure collecting enthusiast.

William hinted several times that since it was damaged, he could give it to him.

But Professor McGonagall just mumbled "uh-huh" and rambled on, refusing to join the conversation.

In this tug-of-war between "McGirl fleecing the school" and "William fleecing McGonagall's cat," Professor McGonagall ultimately prevailed.

No wonder he's the vice principal, while William only gets a penny a month as a poor substitute teacher of ancient magic script.

Not without reason.

The lounge still had a strong stench, all caused by the traps set by the Pikachu.

He set up a large amount of dung eggs and a mixture of dragon dung in the lounge.

Blake and the armored guards fought a fierce battle, from the sofa in the common room to the boys' dormitory, and then another thirty meters to the washroom, where they fought and showered at the same time.

Any place that others might use for inappropriate purposes for children was now being used by the two guys in a fierce battle.

The smells spread everywhere as the two moved, and the flavors have seeped in; it will probably take some time for them to completely dissipate.

"Was the girls' dormitory attacked too?" Hermione asked in surprise.

"No," Professor McGonagall shook her head. "Blake can't get into the girls' dormitory."

"Why are there so many skirts... and girls' clothes too?" Hermione pointed to the student items placed to one side.

Professor McGonagall said strangely, "After Blake entered the boys' dormitory, both sides caused damage inside, with things scattered all over the place."

Since I don't know whose they are, I'll just keep them here and wait for the lost and found.

"..."

"I doubt anyone would willingly claim it, right?"

"Yes," Professor McGonagall nodded, "but there are still many items scattered around the damaged dormitory."

"I will use a magic live stream to sort out the items in each dormitory, and let whoever's items belong to them claim them."

If no one claims it, let the students in the dormitory identify it from each other.

William looked at McGonagall intently and nodded slightly.

He inexplicably remembered a friend from a past life.

Due to the pandemic, the school broadcasted a live stream showing students how to pack their dormitory belongings in preparation for sending them back home.

That friend left some strange inflatable doll—something William didn't understand—in the closet, and ultimately… he suffered social death.

It seems Professor McGonagall is also a Lion King with a lot of wicked humor.

Of course, uncovering the mastermind behind the cross-dressing incident is also for the students' benefit. It allows them to address the students' inner concerns promptly.

Everything is for the children.

Hermione stayed behind to help Professor McGonagall, while William left the common room and headed toward the headmaster's office.

He went around in a big circle and finally arrived at the little monster on the third floor.

After the command was given, the monster suddenly came to life, jumped to the side, and the wall behind it split in two.

To be honest, William had been eyeing the little monster outside the principal's door for a long time.

It can attack, it can guard the door, it combines the functions of the Fat Lady and the Armored Guard... it's practically an essential magical item for the home, for both guarding and protecting against enemies.

William followed the spiral staircase to a gleaming oak door with a brass door knocker in the shape of a griffin.

He knocked on the door.

"Please come in."

Dumbledore's weary voice came through.

William opened the door and went in. Minister Fudge was sitting in a chair, his face flushed, and he seemed very excited.

"William, could you wait a moment? I'll be finishing my talk with our minister soon."

Instead of letting William leave, Dumbledore subtly hinted to the minister to end the conversation quickly.

He was clearly already impatient.
