A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 400: The professor really can do whatever he wants!
Chapter 400: The professor really can do whatever he wants!
early morning,
Ravenclaw dining table
William leaned the notebook against the milk jug, eating the legendary "stargazing" while reading the contents of the notebook.
Looking up at the starry sky truly lived up to its reputation as England's culinary disaster. William had only taken one bite of sardines when he suddenly shuddered, his brain went blank for five seconds, and then he came to his senses.
Wow, that's exciting!
Hermione took a bite of her salad bread and glanced at William with a puzzled look.
William rarely reads while eating, and what he does read is... ancient magic script for third graders?
William's level of understanding is like someone who has graduated from university but suddenly picks up elementary school textbooks and studies them seriously.
This is very unusual.
Sensing the girl's gaze, William mumbled, "I suddenly wanted to take a look; it seems quite interesting."
"I wonder which professor teaches our ancient runes?" Hermione said, sipping her milk, a white ring around her lips.
"Professor Sprout substituted for sixth grade, Professor McGonagall for fifth grade, and you are Professor Flitwick."
Following this order, we are very likely Professor Snape.
Hermione wiped her mouth, looking unhappy, and said, "I'd rather it be Professor McGonagall than Professor Snape."
"Because he doesn't give you a chance to answer questions?" William couldn't help but laugh.
"That's because he's biased; he only ever asks Harry questions," Hermione said, pursing her lips.
"I wonder when Professor Babling came back from the United States. I heard she's the best teacher."
"She's not coming back... well, at least not this year." William looked up and asked, "Hermione, who would you like to have teach you Ancient Runes?"
"As long as it's not Snape or Professor Trelawney."
Snape didn't give Hermione a chance to answer questions, and Trelawney was the professor she hated the most.
"I need to work on my grades. Gryffindor has deducted too many unnecessary house points... I still want the House Cup." Hermione also pulled out her ancient runes textbook.
"I heard Professor McGonagall say that when I first entered the school," William laughed. "It's been said for many years. Come to think of it, Gryffindor hasn't won the House Cup in eight years."
So, just think about the Academy Cup; don't take it too seriously.
"That's because there are always unexpected events. I'll definitely work hard to get high marks in the Ancient Magic Runes class, just you wait!"
Hermione waved her fist and gave the boy a harmless glare.
"How about we make a bet?" William's eyes were captivating as he softly chuckled, "Hermione, I bet you... you won't get more than ten points in this class. If you do, I'll admit defeat!"
"What's wrong?" Hermione exclaimed in surprise. "You've already heard that Professor Snape is teaching a class?"
"I'm sure he won't go to class," William explained.
"Trillaun dropped out of school in her first year to attend a 'homeschooling magic school,' so she's definitely not going to teach you ancient runes..."
Hermione's eyes darted around, and she said eagerly, "Alright! As long as it's not them, you're doomed to lose. I don't believe I can't even get ten points!"
Hermione studied with William for a long time and basically taught herself all the ancient runes of the third grade.
This is another very difficult course. When the teacher asks a question, only she raises her hand and is guaranteed to get a high score.
Hermione asked confidently, "What's the stake? Let's bet big!"
William suppressed a laugh and said, "You...!"
"Hmm?" Hermione pouted, her eyes widened, and her face flushed like a peach blossom.
"You... decide the bet!"
Hermione rolled her eyes, gave a soft snort, and said in a tone that suggested she had William completely under her thumb, "Get the other person to do something, anything, the kind where they can't object... are you willing to bet?"
"Okay, just don't regret it," William said with a smile.
"I won't regret it, but I'm afraid you'll dare to agree but not to do it." Hermione proudly raised her pointed chin.
William put away his notebook and poured himself another cup of strong coffee.
He needs extra caffeine this morning, since it's his first class.
As for the bet... William owns the casino and he's the referee, so what can Hermione do against him?
William did whatever he wanted to her.
Silly girl.
After they finished breakfast, Hermione packed her books and headed towards the Ancient Runes classroom. William left with her.
"Are you going to the library?" Hermione asked.
"No... I can't go to the library lately; Mrs. Pince won't let me in."
"Why?"
"I was speaking a little too loudly in the library yesterday, and she won't let me go anymore," William mumbled.
"I'll go with you to the ancient magic script classroom. A special teacher will be coming today, and I plan to audit the class."
Ah, even William wanted to audit the classes with that special teacher...
"Could it be Professor Dumbledore?" Hermione immediately imagined.
"If it were the principal teaching the class, I might have to use a time converter to attend the class multiple times... and I'd also have to use a compound decoction to become someone else."
William smiled without saying a word.
The classroom for ancient runes was located at the end of the third-floor corridor, through an ebony wooden door.
The door had no handle, only a bronze bat statue hanging on the edge of the door, which looked like a large-mouthed bat.
As the two approached the classroom, the bat statue suddenly opened its eyes, its mouth agape, revealing sharp teeth.
The ebony door opened automatically.
William went inside. The classroom was already sparsely populated, with only seven or eight students sitting there.
Hermione sat down in the middle of the first row. This was the typical area where top students congregated.
The other students sat in the back rows.
Everyone looked at William curiously, whispering among themselves, wondering why he was there.
Did I fail the ancient magic script last year and need to retake it?
But this idea was immediately dismissed; Stark needed to be rebuilt, which was completely impossible.
Several Slytherin girls looked at Hermione with envy, wondering whether they should sit in the front row.
Five minutes before class started, the professor still hadn't arrived, and the whole classroom was buzzing with chatter, all discussing who would be filling in for them.
Everyone generally believed it was Professor Snape, and all the little snakes were extremely proud.
After a moment, the door suddenly opened and Professor McGonagall walked in.
She wore a bright green cloak, her expression serious, her eyes sharp as knives, sweeping across the room through her square glasses.
Everyone shut up and immediately sat down in their seats, as quiet as a silly badger.
McGonagall said sternly, "I could hear you all arguing in my office. Your class is the loudest in the whole grade."
"If I hadn't come, would you have been able to blow the castle away?!"
Professor McGonagall glanced at William again and said in a serious tone, "Mr. Stark, I know this is your first time and you have no experience, but you still need to maintain discipline."
"I understand, Professor McGonagall, I'm sorry." William stood up awkwardly and left his seat.
Professor McGonagall gently closed the door.
William took a few deep breaths and calmly walked towards the podium. When the bell rang, everything was ready.
Everyone stared in surprise as William walked to the podium. They seemed to realize something.
William looked around and said in a deep voice, "Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I will be temporarily taking over as the teacher of ancient magic script for the third-year students this semester..."
The classroom was completely silent. Hermione stared at William with her mouth agape in disbelief.
Her boldest idea was for Dumbledore to come to class, but she never expected it would be... William.
"Are you kidding me, William?" Simon Finigan shouted.
"Oh, Mr. Finnigan, I wish it were a joke. I'd prefer I'm still dreaming," William laughed.
"William, were you eavesdropping on me? I was just telling Harry and the others yesterday that I wish you would come to class!"
Simo Finigan slammed his fist on the table in excitement.
"They'll be so jealous of me!"
William gestured for them to keep their voices down. "You wouldn't want Professor McGonagall to sit in on the class and help maintain discipline, would you?"
Everyone chuckled softly.
No one doubts William's abilities, of course, are sufficient for the professor.
Merlin's Medal of Merlin and the Medal of Valor, along with his fight against the Thunderbird on the train, have already demonstrated his strength.
They couldn't wait to follow William and learn some powerful magic.
at this time,
The door was opened again.
Malfoy, Pansy, and a group of people walked in.
Malfoy stared at William on the podium for five seconds, rubbed his eyes, and then walked out, glancing at the classroom number.
"Mr. Malfoy, come in quickly, you haven't come to the wrong classroom." William glanced at his watch.
"However, you're three minutes late... I think, Slytherin... deduct ten points!"
Wow, being a teacher is pretty awesome!
At least he can deduct points from Slytherin's score.
William winked at Hermione again.
Remind her,
do not forget,
The matter of the bet.
