Chapter 367 Gringotts' "Original Ore Treasure" Harvesting Plan

Chapter 367 Gringotts' "Original Ore Treasure" Harvesting Plan

Anne is a repeat offender with a criminal record, at least that's what Hermione thinks.

For example, last night, after she finished showering, she pushed open the door and saw Annie lying on the bed, tossing a fluffy mint high in the air, wanting to eat it with style.

Annie's performance was a failure as expected; the mint didn't end up in her mouth but hit her face instead, and she rolled off onto the bed.

Although she only saw it once, Hermione had reason to believe that this was just the tip of the iceberg!

Anne might have eaten ham, buttered bread, or even the luxurious mini version of Xiao Yang's pan-fried buns that William mentioned in her bed!

"I didn't eat..."

Anne only managed to say half a sentence before Hermione pounced on her.

The two started wrestling, tickling each other's armpits and tearing at each other's clothes. Hermione, who had just taken a shower, was wearing a floral sundress and almost exposed herself.

Wow... even when girls fight, it's such a pleasant sight to watch.

"Ah!" Hermione suddenly exclaimed, the book in Anne's hand almost biting her hand.

The book jumped up and bit at Hermione's hair.

William, who was cheering them on from the sidelines, gently waved his wand, and the book crashed into the wall.

It was a beautiful book with a green cover and a gold title: "The Monster Book of Monsters".

After the monster book crashed into the wall, it seemed a little dazed. After a moment, it stood up again and ran rapidly along the floor like some kind of strangely shaped crab.

It headed straight for Hermione's treasure bookshelf, seemingly wanting to feast.

Hermione, disregarding her disheveled appearance, angrily jumped off the bed, stomped on the monster book, and kicked it twice more.

The book trembled angrily, but unable to move Hermione, it could only let out a sharp cry.

Anne hurried over and said, "Just run your finger down the spine and the book will quiet down."

She demonstrated, and the monster book indeed quieted down. Annie wore a smug expression, as if to say, "I'm so smart, aren't I? Come and praise me!"

William and Hermione exchanged a glance. William asked, "Where did the book come from?"

"Hagrid just sent it. Since neither of you were here, I picked it up and started reading it," Annie said with a grin.

She squatted down again, sticking her butt out, and pulled a book out of the trash can. She was wolfing down the book while chewing on maltose, her mouth sticky with it.

"See? I didn't eat in bed, it ate everything!" Anne glanced at Hermione.

Hermione blushed slightly. Just as she was about to huff in a haughty manner, Anne beat her to it, mimicking her gesture by raising her chin and letting out a soft hum.

"They've all learned to answer first!" William laughed.

"..." Hermione's cheeks flushed red and she turned to glare fiercely at William.

"Looks like Hagrid gave us new textbooks," William said, suppressing a laugh.

Professor Kettleburn has retired, and the books Hagrid sent, as the new professor, are undoubtedly textbooks!

"How could Hagrid buy a book like this?" Hermione complained.

"She probably just thinks it's fun." William walked towards Hermione, and as the girl slightly lifted her leg, he quickly bent down and picked up the book at her feet.

Hermione sighed, rubbing her forehead. "He really does say things like that!"

William's book started to fuss again, as if it also wanted some malt candy.

"We can't keep stroking the spines, can we? Look, they're acting up again," Hermione said worriedly. The books on the shelf are precious treasures; they can't withstand the tearing of monster books.

"That's easy, just watch me."

William waved his wand, and the table slowly floated up. He placed two books on the ground to prop up the table legs.

The two books were suddenly pressed down on the heavy table.

William raised his wand again, and two small orange flames lit up. He covered them with a dome and placed them on the book.

"Alright, gravity and high temperatures will bring them to their senses. In a few hours, these two books will probably behave themselves." William blinked.

If that didn't work, he would just roast it over a fire.

Simple, direct, and effective!

……

……

In the evening, after dinner, William and his two companions went to Diagon Alley.

Instead of taking the Knight Bus, and since Hermione's house didn't have a fireplace, William Apparated directly with the two girls.

They went to Gringotts first.

Upon entering Gringotts, the two goblins bowed to them and led them into the grand marble hall.

The old fox Bogrod, upon seeing William, had a sudden flash of inspiration and immediately dropped his gold coins and walked toward him.

"Good evening, Mr. Stark, Miss Stark, Miss Granger!" Bogled said in a high-pitched voice.

William and Hermione are now practically household names in the British wizarding world.

During this period, Rita revealed Black's prison break and devoted a lot of time to describing the Dementors' disappearance in France.

The Ministry of Magic had no choice but to frantically change the subject, directing its "mouthpieces" to report on events in France, using William and Hermione's popularity to grab headlines!

It's no longer unusual for them to appear in the newspapers; it would be a miracle if they didn't!

Everyone is very interested in the story of Stark and Granger saving Paris.

The two of them had been vacationing in France, separated by the English Channel, so they didn't receive as many letters from fans.

William was already quite famous, and now he's even more so; while Hermione is also entering the public eye for the first time, as the youngest recipient of the Medal of Valor.

The Ministry of Magic even fueled the flames by deliberately creating official pairings... without even asking the parties involved, giving people the illusion of an official decision.

"I need to withdraw 1,000 Galleons and transfer all the money in my account to my vault."

William took out a black card bearing the insignia of the French Ministry of Magic.

This contains 10,000 Galleons, the Ministry of Magic's compensation to William and Hermione. Clegane originally intended to pay in installments over ten years.

Ten thousand Galleons to be divided over ten years? Why don't you just die?!

William didn't refuse; that would be too disrespectful. He only asked for 70% interest, which is 7% per month.

Clegane was furious and called him heartless.

William was speechless. If you don't want to lend it, then don't lend it. Why curse at me?

How rude!

"This is a Gringotts card from France, of course I can transfer it to you, but..." Bogrod's tone became increasingly enthusiastic.

"What's wrong?"

"This is an international transfer, so the fees are a little higher... but of course, it's nothing to you."

"How many?"

"7%"

"..." He's going to deduct 700 from every 10,000 Galleons he asks for. Isn't that blatant robbery?

William couldn't help but want to curse Gringotts for being heartless.

So dark!

Keep in mind that Mr. Weasley's monthly salary was less than 100 gallons, and even if they won the grand prize, it would only amount to 700 gallons.

A Nimbus 2000 doesn't even cost 700 Galleons, but with a simple bank transfer, a top-of-the-line sports car is gone.

William and Hermione quickly discussed it and immediately realized it wasn't worth it. They couldn't send Galleons to Gringotts.

"Never mind then, we won't go. We've bought a house in France and will probably be living there for a long time," Hermione said.

Bogrod was dumbfounded... That's not how it is!

Shouldn't the normal procedure be to first cut the price in half?

Then, during the wrangling, Baugrod asked the other party to add some money to a larger vault to reduce the fees; he also persuaded them to buy some Gringotts bonds and various other financial products to further reduce the fees...

You guys just stopped sharing it altogether, you're not playing by the rules!

Bogrod quickly explained, but William and Hermione really decided not to transfer the money; they would just leave it in France.

Anyway, we won't need it for the time being!

For safety reasons, Hermione and Anne didn't go into the vault. They were simply traumatized by it.

William had no choice but to follow the old fox Bogorod to the vault alone.

On the way, Baogrod also tried to recommend a futures product called "Original Mineral Treasure," telling him that he would definitely only make money and never lose.

William squinted at the old fox. It was obvious she wanted to fleece him.

He bought it today, and by this time next year, he might not only lose all his principal but also have to pay Gringotts in return.

Tsk tsk, they really think he's a big leek to be harvested.

William, holding the Fairy Diamond, immediately felt at ease.
