A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 329 I, Tom, am an idiot!
Chapter 329 I, Tom, am an idiot!
Crossing the Bastille, William and Hermione stopped in front of a marble slab at the corner of Rue Saint-Antoine and Rue Jacques-Gall.
The marble slab is inscribed in French: "This was originally the gate to the front courtyard of the Bastille."
The main gate is definitely gone; it's now the entrance to the Minotaur Bar.
Like Station 9, this place is enchanted, and Muggles generally cannot enter.
William and Hermione walked through the marble and into a dilapidated, low-ceilinged underground bar.
The surroundings were dark, like a prison.
Those who frequent this place are mostly criminals from the French magical community. Many male and female wizarding criminals from Paris gather here, and their wanted posters are displayed on the four walls.
William spotted the arrest warrants for the two of them immediately:
Stark and Granger were listed as extremely dangerous wizards for attacking Clegane, the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, in Paris. A reward of 500 Galleons was offered for information leading to their capture, and 5,000 Galleons for information leading to their capture.
"..." When did they attack Clegane?
William stared at the words "five thousand Galleons," his heart pounding with desire... He wondered if he could claim the reward if he turned himself in.
Then let Dumbledore step in and get him and Hermione out of trouble, and they'll make a fortune in no time!
Why not take advantage of this opportunity?
Hermione stared at the photo, not very happy. She thought the angle was bad and made her hair look messy.
William comforted him, "Once the shampoo is improved, we'll take a stroll to the Ministry of Magic and have them take another picture."
Hermione laughed so hard she couldn't stand up straight.
The two spent five or six minutes commenting before entering the bar.
Several female fairies danced on the stage, while a radiant fairy jazz singer sang softly.
Her wand sprayed out a trail of swirling smoke, creating a visual image to accompany the lyrics.
Dumbledore would probably like this fairy; he could suggest to the headmaster that she be invited to sing at Hogwarts.
As they entered the bar's lobby, many people stared at them. The two were dressed smartly and looked quite young, not like dark wizards at all.
It felt like a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor had entered Hogwarts... wasn't he just asking to be delivered to the slaughter?!
Especially William...
Several older witches stared at him with burning eyes, licked their dry lips, and revealed covetous smiles.
Tom was definitely a handsome guy when he was young, with a bit of a pretty boy vibe... His looks were only slightly less attractive than William's original face.
But he can definitely go toe-to-toe with Cedric.
Old witches love young, handsome men like this.
The shopkeeper was a witch. When she saw William, this handsome young man, her eyes lit up, and she immediately ran over.
She grabbed William's arm and dragged him toward the bar... She kept squeezing with a certain surprisingly large part of her body, and didn't forget to stare straight at the boy with her alluring eyes, which were adorned with crow's feet.
That woman is fierce!
"Today, it's on me," the woman said with a beaming smile and a seductive voice. "If you'd like, you can also try some unusual drinks!"
She shook the pair of incredibly bouncy jellies.
William pretended not to understand and said with a smile, "Auntie, I'm still a child. Two cups of eggnog will be enough for me."
"Auntie..." The witch took a breath, snapped her fingers, and exchanged a knowing glance with the house-elf beside her.
The little elf hurriedly left.
Soon, two goblets filled with brown liquid landed on the bar from above.
William reached out, took a glass of eggnog, swirled it, sniffed it, and grinned broadly.
"The wine is good, but it has a little aphrodisiac added... Oh, it tastes quite mild... Has it been stored for long enough?"
Of course, the longer it's kept, the stronger the effect.
The witch's face immediately turned sour; she hadn't expected to be seen through so easily.
You're an expert!
Hermione was taken aback and glared at the old woman!
She hated love potions the most! So every year, she would throw all of William's chocolates into the trash.
As for checking? No need. Better to kill the innocent than let the guilty go free!
William swirled his glass, then downed it in one gulp. His eyes were clear, showing no signs of being affected by the aphrodisiac.
He said softly, "Another one, with some ice."
This composed demeanor is all the more attractive to women.
"Speak, what brings you here?" She rested her chin on her hand and placed the milky white jelly on the table.
"This is not a place for a wizard like you."
William glanced at the table, feeling as if it were about to collapse under its weight.
"I'd like to ask your aunt something."
"What is it?" the woman yawned.
Where is the mystery circus performing recently?
"Why are you looking for the mysterious circus?" the woman asked, frowning.
"Of course we're going to see the show," William said matter-of-factly.
Hermione nodded, a curious expression on her face.
The woman glanced at Hermione, who, sporting Costa's face, tried to raise her chin and adopt an arrogant demeanor.
"It's hidden somewhere." The woman took a flyer from the counter.
The sign read: Mysterious Circus – Monsters and Deformed Children! See you at the hidden location!
The mysterious circus is an illegal activity and has long since moved underground; you can't find it without these flyers.
William folded the paper, put it in his pocket, and smiled, "Thanks. In return for the deal, what do I need to give you? Galleons or...?"
The woman stared intently at Tom Riddle's face, licked her lips, and said in a seductive voice, "Now that you're here, you think you can just leave?!"
William shook his head regretfully and said, "Auntie, even if you covet my body, I really can't agree to this!"
"Not because of that lame excuse that I still want to work hard!" William shouted, drawing everyone's attention.
"It's because I, Tom, am a bastard, a beast, an animal, a parasite."
So I advise you all to cherish life and stay away from Tom. Of course, if you dare, come to America and chop me up!
"Grab him!" The witch paused for two seconds, then said coldly. "Break both legs, leave one!"
Hermione picked up the eggnog from the table and splashed it on the woman's face.
Five or six wizards rushed over, and William flicked his left hand, throwing away the ring wrapped around his finger.
That's not a ring, it's a bird-snake!
The bird-snake instantly swelled, crushing the wizards to the ground. The Niffler darted left and right, taking advantage of the chaos to steal wallets from the bar.
A male wizard with a face full of tattoos charged forward, grinning maliciously and brandishing his wand.
William waved his wand, and the chair on the ground turned into a thin snake that coiled around his legs.
Caught off guard, he fell to the ground.
"Disarm you!" Hermione, working with William, was reaping heads.
The wizard was thrown out and slammed hard against the wall.
Screams erupted from the bar, and many customers quickly disappeared, including the bartender.
Five or six voices rang out from different places—followed by a series of dazzling flashes of light.
William's magic flowed, and with a gentle wave of his wand, a white light enveloped him and Hermione.
The spells sounded like raindrops hitting glass.
William left Hermione in the magic shield and teleported behind a wizard.
Before the other person could react, William flung him away as if he were whipping a whip.
"Avada Kedavra!"
William Apparated again, and a green light appeared where he had been standing.
William materialized behind a short wizard, raised his left hand, and a silver longsword appeared, plunging directly into the man's chest.
William recognized the other person; he was also an "international friend" on the wanted poster.
William held his wand to his chest and chanted a spell. Suddenly, he aimed it at the bar lobby, and a beam of blue light shot out, instantly shattering the bar counter.
The magic raged wildly. Dust rose and the entire building shook, dust falling from the cracks in the walls.
Once things quieted down, all the wizards fled.
The harpy shrank again and returned to William's hand, resembling a ring. The Niffler had stolen a large amount of Galleons and was happily stuffing them into its pouch.
Hermione walked over, holding two wands.
"Let's go, the Auror should be here soon," she said softly.
William nodded and Apparated Hermione with him.
He's kept his achievements hidden, William did attack the dark wizard. Hopefully, Tom's name will resonate throughout the Parisian underworld.
Ideally, someone would issue an arrest warrant and go to America to find him... to play games.
