A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 327 William and Hermione were here!
Chapter 327 William and Hermione were here!
Hermione's words left William completely bewildered.
He didn't know if Newt's trunk was in the Louvre, but he knew Hermione couldn't possibly know either.
Because the two were always inseparable and never separated.
But he didn't refute it.
Based on his understanding and trust of Hermione, William knew that the girl must have noticed something he hadn't.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go to the Louvre and find the box now," William said in French, matching Hermione's performance.
Hermione laughed and took William's hand to stand up.
"We've changed our minds!" Hermione shouted to Apache. "Just stop up ahead, we're going to the Louvre!"
"The Louvre?" Apache asked, sounding quite nervous. "What, not going to the Boulevard Lyon?"
"No, we're not going!" William shook his head. "Let's go to the Louvre, now!"
The driver, Russell, slammed on the brakes, and the divine horse drifted rapidly, coming to a stop in the square in front of the Louvre.
William took the money out of his pocket, tossed it to Apache, and then quickly ran with Hermione toward the famous glass pyramid in the Louvre.
Hermione excitedly spoke to William again, talking loudly about the box.
Apache hurriedly returned to the fireplace, stuck his head inside, and said quickly, "Mr. Auror, the two of them got out of the car and went into the Louvre."
"What happened?" Odom asked seriously. "You've been exposed?"
"No, I didn't say anything. The girl suddenly suggested going to the Louvre. She told the boy something in the Louvre... Oh, right, it looked like a box!"
"They mentioned the box?" Odom asked nervously.
"Um...yes." Apache hesitated for a moment, then asked curiously, "What's in the box? Dark magic items, or Muggle...bombs?"
"Where are they now? Have they entered the Louvre?" Clegane suddenly asked.
The driver, Russell, peered out the window. "There are a lot of tourists. They're queuing up, getting ready to enter the glass pyramid..."
Clegane roared, "Immediately recall all Aurors heading to the Boulevard Lyon! Now surround the Louvre! We're going to catch them! We need to find the chest!"
Take immediate action!
"Sir, I remember the Louvre has an Anti-Apparition Charm..." Odom said.
To prevent wizards from stealing artworks, the French Ministry of Magic has installed various protective spells in major tourist attractions.
Among them is the Anti-Illusion Spell.
"That's right, so once they're inside, there's no chance of them escaping!" Clegane's eyes lit up.
"Seal off that area immediately! We're only one step away from success!"
Odom turned and left to gather the Aurors who had already departed.
Five minutes later, fifty Aurors appeared in phantom form in the neighborhood a little further away from the Louvre.
They sealed off the entire neighborhood as quickly as possible.
Clegane led a dozen or so men toward the glass pyramid.
The idea of building a pyramid in front of the Louvre was met with opposition from most of the French people when the design was first proposed.
However, French President Mitterrand overruled objections and chose this option.
This building, which was only completed a few years ago, has now become, in the mouths of most French people, a truly delicious treat!
Clegane had no interest in appreciating the building, nor did he queue; he simply had the Aurors disperse the tourists.
He walked through the revolving door and toward several security guards.
"I am Crégan, Director General of the French Directorate General for External Security."
Clegane drew his wand, waved it lightly, and then held up a blank badge, handing it to the captain of the security team.
The security team leader's eyes glazed over for a moment, then he took out his badge and began to check it.
The French Directorate General for External Security (DGGS), also known as the Seventh Directorate or the French Directorate General for External Security, holds a position equivalent to the US CIA and the UK MI6.
The problem is that Criggan was actually a figurehead employee of the Seventh Inning.
The Ministry of Magic and the President maintain contact. High-ranking officials in the Ministry of Magic, like him, often hold positions in Muggles to facilitate their work outside the ministry.
However, he never carried his Muggle ID with him... A Confusion Charm would solve the problem, why would he need to carry that thing?
"Yes, the identification is genuine. Mr. Clegane, what can I do for you?" the security captain asked respectfully.
"Ten minutes ago, two British spies entered this place. I need you to find them immediately." Clegane handed over the photo.
The security captain immediately sent someone to compare the photos with the surveillance footage.
The Louvre is so vast that a thorough search would take several days. Fortunately, it has comprehensive surveillance equipment, the kind that leaves no blind spots.
Three minutes later, the monitor located the suspect's position and then informed the security captain via mobile phone.
"They went to Denon Hall... no, this is footage from five minutes ago, they entered the Grand Gallery, and are now in the restroom at the far end of the gallery!"
"Captain, the man and woman went into the women's restroom together!"
Clegane was momentarily stunned. Could Newt's trunk be there?
"Are there any other exits?" Crigan asked.
"No, that restroom is enclosed; there are no other exits," the security team leader said.
"Okay, take us there right away."
Five minutes later, a group of heavily armed senior security personnel stood guard at the entrance to the women's restroom.
"You all stay outside and keep watch," Clegane ordered, then led the four Aurors toward the women's restroom.
The door was locked from the inside. Clegane wasn't in the mood to wait for the key, so he kicked the wooden door open and went inside.
An Auror slammed the door shut, and the others raised their wands.
Stark and Granger have been in the women's restroom for fifteen minutes!
Although he didn't know what the two were doing there, Clegane knew they must be inside.
The Louvre cannot apparate, and after the two entered the restroom, they locked the door and never opened it again, so it was impossible for them to leave using the Apparition Charm!
There are no other exits here!
The perfect escape room!
Clegane smiled victoriously and said softly, "Stark, you're surrounded. Hand over Scamander's box now, and I'll lift the arrest warrant and restore your reputation."
Don't put up a futile resistance; we don't want to hurt you or your girlfriend!
In the toilet, which smelled of disinfectant, no one answered him; only the sound of running water could be heard.
Crigan gave him a look.
Odom immediately stepped forward and carefully pushed open the door to the first cubicle.
no one!
The second Auror followed... and soon, the third, the fourth...
Finally, a group of Aurors gathered at the door of the innermost compartment, holding sticks and watching the wooden door warily.
It's locked from the inside again!
"Open the Alohomora!" Clegane waved his wand.
The door was opened.
still is,
There was no one there!
A leather suitcase was placed on the toilet seat.
Clegane knew that the Scamander leather trunk had been greatly expanded using the Unseen Stretch Charm, and could even hold half of Beauxbatons.
Were the two of them hiding inside?
Clegane flicked his wand slightly, opening the box, his pupils suddenly contracting.
It was just an ordinary leather suitcase, containing a piece of parchment with a line of beautiful cursive English writing:
William Hermione was here!
Clegane stood there for a dozen seconds, staring at the parchment that was full of mockery, muttering a curse under his breath.
hateful!
Clegane was furious. When did he start being led around by the nose by two little wizards?
Where the hell did they run off to?!
“Sir, all the exits are sealed,” Odom insisted. “The only possibility is that they are still in the Louvre and cannot leave.”
I suggest increasing the search efforts and bringing in everyone.
It sounded logical, but Clegane had a bad feeling that the Starks and Granger had already escaped.
"Send someone to the Élysée Palace immediately and tell President Mitterrand of the Muggles to issue a nationwide warrant for the arrest of Stark and Granger throughout the Muggle world!"
From the women's restroom came Clegane's furious roar.
