A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 311 Snake-like Voice
Chapter 311 Snake-like Voice
The phoenix is undoubtedly a very powerful magical creature.
Putting everything else aside, his unique skill of swallowing curses alone is worth a pet slot.
Not to mention it can also sing, act cute, grill meat, warm the bed... it's way better than Boba Tea by dozens of Lu Weis.
William certainly needed a phoenix to elevate his status slightly.
Think about it, wizards usually rely on Floo Powder to get around, which is similar to taking the subway; the Knight Bus is like Didi Chuxing (a ride-hailing app).
A more advanced version of the Phantom Transformation is similar to that of a private car.
The coolest one has to be the Ford Focus with the Wizard on the road – that's the real top-of-the-line sports car!
Unfortunately, you can't just kidnap someone. Although as long as you swing the hoe well enough, there's no corner you can't dig up, Fawkes has been with Dumbledore for decades after all...
William figured he would only have a chance to adopt Fox after the principal passed away.
This seems like they've become the ones who took over the losses...
Even so, many people want to take over the business, but no one has the connections!
Fox ignored William and continued eating his dried fish.
Harry paced around the room for a moment, then asked, "William, what's Parsleyan?"
"Simply put, it means being able to communicate with snakes." William turned another page of his book.
"Talking to snakes...aren't there many people who can do that?" Harry was stunned.
"No, most people can't do it." William looked up at Harry with a strange expression.
"It's a special talent. Some people are born with Parsleyan speech. Some people have a talent for languages and can learn them later in life."
I learned the language of merfolk from Dumbledore. But Parsleyan is very difficult, much more difficult than the language of merfolk.
Slytherin is the most famous Parsleyan speaker, and Riddle is also a Parsleyan speaker…”
Seeing Harry's awkward expression, William raised an eyebrow. "Don't tell me you are too?"
"Oh, I really can talk to snakes!" Harry felt a little pain in his scar.
"What I mean is, once at the zoo, I accidentally released a large python, and it lunged at my cousin Dudley."
The python told me it had never been to Brazil, and I released it without realizing it; it wasn't intentional. At that time, I didn't know I was a sorcerer…”
"A python is telling you it's never been to Brazil?" William squinted at Harry.
Harry nodded weakly.
"Then it seems you are indeed one."
Harry stared at him, dumbfounded. "I'm speaking another language? But—I didn't realize—how could I be speaking another language without even knowing it?"
"That means you only have a passive skill, and your awakened talent isn't that high," William explained. "It only activates automatically when you see a snake, and you're completely unaware of it."
Luna's Legilimency is a passive skill and cannot be activated on its own.
"But I have nothing to do with Slytherin! And nothing to do with Riddle!" Harry said, distressed.
"Harry, you can't say that," William shook his head.
"Pure-blood families often intermarry, and even families that do not know each other or are hostile to each other may be related."
I've heard the twins mention that Mrs. Weasley and Malfoy's mother were cousins by marriage.
Mr. Weasley is also the great-grandson of Malfoy's mother's great-uncle... By blood, Ron and Malfoy are related.
"Your Potter family used to be a pure-blood family, so it's not surprising that you had a Gaunt ancestor."
Harry was dumbfounded; he simply couldn't believe they had this kind of relationship.
"Harry, don't worry about it. Nobody cares if you had a Slytherin or Gaunt ancestry," William comforted him.
"But then again, even if you have a Gaunt in your ancestry, it's still strange that someone could awaken Parsley speech after so many generations."
"What do you mean?" Harry pressed.
"I don't know either; you'd have to ask Professor Dumbledore. Anyway, don't worry about it too much; it's just communicating with a snake."
Dumbledore speaks dozens of languages, and he even enjoys talking to trolls under the moonlight…
Harry couldn't help but laugh; he simply couldn't imagine the scene of Dumbledore and the trolls gobbling each other up.
"Since you speak with a parsnip-like accent, that makes things easier."
William pointed to the wall and said, "Is it insulting me?"
Harry looked up and saw a silver sword hanging on the wall, with a small green snake stuck in its blade.
If it weren't for the occasional twitching, Harry would have thought the little snake was dead.
"It's a basilisk!" Harry shouted. "It's inside Ron, and Riddle is controlling it."
"Yes, but the other six little snakes are all dead. This one was hidden on your body by Riddle and attacked me."
I'm thinking about how to deal with it.
William smiled. "By the way, don't look into its eyes. The basilisk's eyes can kill. It's still in its juvenile stage, but it can still petrify you."
The basilisk is undoubtedly a rare creature. Since William has captured a juvenile basilisk, he certainly cannot kill it; he must keep it alive to extract every last drop of value from it.
Harry hissed.
"It didn't curse you, it was begging for mercy, saying its wound hurt a lot and asking you to give it some magic potion. Also, it was hungry and wanted to eat dried fish."
Fox gave the basilisk a sharp look. Like a mother hen guarding her food, it stuck out its bare rear end and quickly swallowed the rest of the dried fish.
"Stop making such a fuss. Tell it that Riddle is dead, and I will be its master from now on."
Otherwise, I'll gouge out its eyes and leave it in the giant spider's lair. Aragog must like playing with snakes.
Or, throw it into a pool teeming with leeches and suck its blood dry.
Harry shivered and began hissing as he communicated with the basilisk again.
After Harry finished speaking with the basilisk, William put away the books.
He picked up Fox, then took the silver sword and turned it into a ring, which he put on his left hand.
He waved his wand, magically trapping the basilisk in a box and placing it in the corner of the safety table.
"Let's go, Harry." William waved his wand, and Ron floated up from the ground.
"We've been in the locked room all night; it should be dawn outside by now."
William was somewhat disappointed; even if he returned to the castle and put on the ring, he couldn't stop Riddle.
"Open the door," Harry said to the door.
But the door did not respond.
"Harry, don't speak like a human," William warned.
"..." Harry was speechless. He understood what it meant, but it sounded like an insult.
"But I don't know how to say snake language."
"That's easy. Close your eyes and imagine there's a snake in front of you."
Harry nodded, finally letting out a hissing sound.
The door opened, revealing a long passageway.
William helped Harry land on the ground from the sculpture.
The two walked out of the secret room along the same path, but halfway there, William turned back and went back to the main entrance.
On the wall, two intertwined snakes are carved, their eyes inlaid with large, sparkling emeralds.
William tapped the emerald, but there was no response. He then took out the Gryffindor sword that the Sorting Hat had brought from the safety watch.
He gripped the hilt of his sword and slammed it down on the snake's head, only to send sparks flying.
Clearly, Slytherin had taken into account William the Concealed's shameless arrival when they created the Chamber of Secrets!
Never mind... William can come back for these gems later when he has learned more powerful magic.
This is much bigger than Lucius's pigeon egg!
If crafted using the skills of fairies, it would surely be beautiful as jewelry.
Won't that save you money on buying a diamond ring later?
William is such a clever little devil!
