A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 261 William's First Offensive
Chapter 261 William's First Offensive
Through Hagrid's incessant chatter, William and his companions learned about Professor Kettleburn's story.
When Professor Kettleburn was teaching, Professor Dippet was the principal.
However, the old principal thought he was a bit rash and hasty, so he went through a probationary period of 62 years before becoming a professor.
Like Hagrid, Kettleburn has a fondness for dangerous magical creatures and is dedicated to introducing these little cuties to even cuter students.
The most dangerous time was when he attempted to cast a spell on a fire serpent to make it play a worm in the school play "Good Luck Fountain," which resulted in the auditorium catching fire.
"But he's such a good person, I really like him, and I've learned so much about magical creatures from him."
Hagrid was so talkative that even Professor Kettleburn had been trying for sixty-two years, and he worried about whether he could become a teacher who could protect magical creatures.
Hagrid was more worried about his criminal record, which might disqualify him from being a professor.
William and the other two exchanged glances; they really couldn't help with this.
If Dumbledore wanted Hagrid to become a professor, he would probably help him get rid of his criminal record.
"Don't tell anyone yet. I'm afraid I won't end up becoming a teacher who protects magical creatures," Hagrid cautioned.
All three nodded.
Just then, the sound of a baby barking came from outside the door.
Hagrid quickly tossed the book into the basket hanging high above.
Who is it?
"It's us, Hagrid," Harry's voice came through. "Why are the doors closed in broad daylight?"
"Oh, it's Harry..."
Hagrid quickly opened the door, and Harry and Ron walked in together, followed by Hermione and Anne.
"Annie's here too?" Hagrid chuckled and handed her some herring tarts.
Hagrid and Roy are good friends, and he likes all the Stark children.
"Eat up, Annie, it's delicious," Hermione urged eagerly from the side.
Wait a minute... Hermione was just as enthusiastic about promoting her food during summer vacation!
Anne blinked, took the rock-skin cake, stared at the dark food, and glanced at everyone... No one was eating, so she immediately became alert.
Hermione was somewhat disappointed.
"Why did you finish training so quickly?" Qiu asked, trying to gather information.
Harry hesitated for a moment, scratched his head, and looked a little off.
"What can't be said? Slytherin students are here!" Ron said angrily.
"Didn't you already apply for the venue with Mrs. Hodge?" Cedric asked. "How can they still come?"
"They have Snape's special permission to train new Seekers!"
"Slytherin hasn't even had its selections yet, and they already have a new Seeker?" Cho frowned.
There's a lack of intelligence... They didn't even know.
"Yeah, Lucius Malfoy donated seven Nimbus 2001s to Slytherin, so Malfoy got selected!" Ron said indignantly.
"So what if you're rich?!"
Cho and Cedric didn't care about Ron's resentment; after all, money really does have power.
The two exchanged a knowing glance and began to weigh how much increased Slytherin's fighting power would come from upgrading their brooms.
These little interactions felt to Harry like drinking lemonade that had been sitting for 82 years.
It's so sour!
The soreness made his corpus cavernosum hurt!
William looked at the group and suddenly asked, "You had a conflict with Slytherin?"
"Um."
"What happened?"
"I slapped Malfoy," Anne said, looking up as she held the rock bread.
Both Autumn and Cedric stared at Anne in shock.
"And the reason?" William asked calmly.
"Malfoy cursed Hermione, calling her a 'Mudblood'."
Bang!
Hagrid crushed the cup in his hand, looking indignant. "Is it true, that brat?"
“Yes,” Hermione said, “but I don’t know what that means. Of course, I can tell it’s very rude…”
"That's an insult," Anne said softly. "Mudblood is an insulting term for Muggle-born wizards."
"That's right, if you ask me, that slap was really satisfying," Ron agreed.
"Annie, how did you know?" Hermione asked, puzzled.
"Dumbledore gave me a copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard as bedtime stories, and this sentence was recorded in the comments at the end of each story," Anne explained.
In fact, insulting terms in the wizarding world are not limited to Mudbloods, but also include a series of compound words such as "shit eater" and "scum-eating ghost," which are roughly equivalent to the national curse words in China.
Although in China's keyboard warrior community, everyone is abusive and uses "Zu'an" (a derogatory term for someone who insults others) all the time, and they are used to such insulting words.
But if someone actually insults another person like that in public... being beaten up would probably be the least of your worries.
Anne quickly recounted what happened next, including Hermione using her wand to knock down the Slytherin students.
"Well, I don't blame you for hitting him," Hagrid said, looking at Anne and Hermione with concern.
"However, Lucius Malfoy might come to the school in a huff; he's a member of the board of trustees."
William took a sip of the pine needle tea Hagrid had brewed and calmly said, "It's alright, Malfoy wouldn't dare come, as long as Dumbledore is still at Hogwarts."
Malfoy is currently preoccupied with his own problems, and the Aurors have searched his house several times. He doesn't have time to bother Dumbledore at school with something like this.
Expelling students?
That's the principal's prerogative; the school board members are just suckers who foot the bill.
The only thing worth worrying about is the school rules, since attacking classmates with magic is actually a very bad thing.
The school rules do not prohibit swearing, but they do prohibit using magic to attack classmates.
Fighting is not allowed under any circumstances.
This matter could be a big deal or a small deal!
"Let's go." William stood up.
"Where are we going?" Annie asked, puzzled.
"You don't think this is the end of it, do you?" William shook his head.
"You guys are so naive! You're too simple-minded."
"If we hit a Slytherin student, they'll probably go to Professor Snape to complain. Let's go to Professor McGonagall."
Malfoy would definitely tattle, otherwise he wouldn't keep mentioning "my dad" all the time.
William didn't invite everyone. Professor Snape usually gets particularly excited when Harry is around... bringing him along would actually make things more difficult.
William led Hermione and Anne toward Professor McGonagall's office.
His guess was right; Malfoy really did go to see Professor Snape.
Meanwhile, Snape was in Professor McGonagall's office, confronting her.
Malfoy stood to the side, his head deliberately wrapped in a white bandage, looking particularly badly injured.
"Stark, Miss Granger, you've come at the right time. Professor Snape said you beat up a Slytherin student on the pitch?" Professor McGonagall stared at the three of them sternly.
"Yes, I slapped Malfoy," Anne quickly admitted, not trying to shirk responsibility. "But it had nothing to do with Hermione."
"That's right! That mud... she ambushed me with a disarming charm, causing me to crash into a Quidditch cue," Malfoy said bitterly.
"She also attacked the other six members of the Slytherin Quidditch team, as well as two of my best friends!"
Malfoy didn't mention the insults he received; he cut out the details, pretended to be a victim, and focused solely on the beating.
"Oh dear, I'm so disappointed." Snape's thin lips twisted into a horrible smile.
"Attacking students with magic at school, and so many at that? Tsk tsk, Professor McGonagall, I think this kind of student with violent tendencies should be expelled!"
Snape detested school violence the most.
“Yes, Professor Snape, you are absolutely right,” William said. “I think it is indeed appropriate to expel all seven students from the Slytherin Quidditch team.”
"What did you say?" Snape stared at William.
"Malfoy just said Hermione hit a Slytherin member, and two of their good friends... I really don't understand."
William showed just the right amount of confusion.
"How could Hermione, a second-year wizard, single-handedly beat up ten Slytherin students, especially since several of them were older students?"
William stared at Snape. "Jokes aside, surely no fool would actually believe such an obvious lie?"
"Or, let me put it another way... ten Slytherin students beat up Hermione, a second-year witch, and now they're turning around and accusing me?"
William changed his tactics and put the hat on the man's head.
"We didn't hit her!" Malfoy roared.
They didn't even have time to react before they were all knocked down.
But who would believe it if they didn't see it with their own eyes?
Sure enough, Professor McGonagall gave Malfoy a suspicious look.
Snape opened his mouth, unsure of what to say.
He did indeed overlook that issue.
Snape knew Dumbledore wouldn't fire Granger; he was just there to annoy the Starks.
Because his sister and Hermione were involved.
The worst outcome would be a punishment, such as losing some Gryffindor house points.
But can I say I believe it?
If word gets out, won't Slytherin be ridiculed by students from other houses?
If you can't even beat one out of ten, go home and raise pigs!
Snape was a decent man; he really cared about his reputation, otherwise he wouldn't have relentlessly tried to win the House Cup every year!
Snape quickly recalled another piece of news: at the last Quidditch World Cup, twenty Russian fans beat up two hundred British fans.
Why wasn't this incident reported?
What a shame!
